Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

forgive my English.

What i meant was the new bison(clone based on bison DNA theory) might be a completely new entity with a new soul different from the one that gouki killed and sent to hell.

vasili: re: Zero 2 Dhalsim/Gief

Hmm. You’re right now that I think about it.

re: cloned body

Why do I have to be careful? I’m not Capcom who misuses the term. :stuck_out_tongue: If Bison has another body, how is it not a clone of his previous one? I know Bison has that body swapping thing going on, but all his main bodies look the same, so they have to be clones. It’s not as though SFIV Bison the Galvatron to SF2 M.Bison’s Megatron.

Shakunetsu:

Okay, that’s better. Uhm, well, that brings up a whole different kettle of fish: How does one obtain a soul in SF universe? If one’s soul is destroyed a la SGS, but the body is recreated, does it do so sans soul, or does it gain a new one? o_O

That warning wasn’t to you; it was to smashz. Besides it being a term ambiguously loaded, it is not a term that Capcom’s ever used. That’s why caution’s necessary.

Oh right. But he got that term from my speculation, so it still stands: Regardless of Capcom not actually using the term, what is Bison’s new body that’s identical to his old one if not a clone?

That’s another question which hopefully the game’s ending(s) will answer: just how identical is his new body compared to his old one(s)?

Vasili10:

About Vega’s body, the face is always the same, even when the graphics change. The height is the same (but I bet that the height being the same doesn’t interfere, since when Vega appeared in Zero 1, none of the body switching/cloning idea was around). However, his weight and measures are somewhat different, but this could be due to a few things:
1: To become more powerful, Vega surely used drugs, steroids (his Zero 1 and 2 artwork hints that he could be using growth hormone, look at his hands, chin and nose);
2: Since he’s insanely powerful in Zero 3, his body could be at the maximum of it’s physical strengh to hold all that power, but still… it seems that wasn’t enough.
3: His SF2 (SFIV?) body could have been made with his DNA taken from the time he had those measures, before being so pumped like we see in the Zero series.

Note that body size/changes also happens with bodybuilders. Some of them get’s really ā€œobeseā€ during off season…

vasili:

Unless they have Bison doing a soliloquy, how would they address that? I’m wondering why they would even need to address that, since what reason to have to assume that his bodies are actually different?

That reminds me: Is it official that his SFA3 and SF2 bodies were different in terms of size? I figure the power difference is official due to SFA benig ā€œPure Evilā€ Bison and SF2 being ā€œUnified Soul Bisonā€ (but please correct me if I’m wrong), but I never bought the ā€œfat/skinnyā€ as being official. I don’t count a few KG as a real difference.

 1. is a no-go; Vega’s swollen dimensions and increased power in the Zero series are due to psycho power alone. This is confirmed in AASFZ and again in AAC. It’s referred to as his ā€œgolden ageā€ of psycho power.

 2. is the reason why, not just in Zero 3 but the rest of the Zero series; and 3. is a definite in SF2 while a probable in SF4 for the time being.

You got me. Capcom’s Seth Killian was the one who posted that beating the game will reveal why Vega’s back. So I hope to be impressed and not pissed off at any half-assed script.

Yes, they are different officially, and the power difference due to the status of his soul still holds. Think of him as being not so intoxicated by power in general when his soul is whole again, no more ā€œgolden ageā€ of psycho power as the developers coined the phrase. Would you say 16 kg (35+ lb.) is a real difference?

= SFII Animated Movie, that the look of the SFZero is based on. No hints in the movie to steroids. This is why the Warriors Thread is in the fan fiction section, because making sense out of everything Capcom does artworkwise will result in fan fiction.

That means all bison version in different games were the same power level right now and that explained why bison has teleport on SF4? and the soul/spirit of bison in SF4 is the actual bison on the old sf series

-correct me if i am wrong.

Not necessarily.

The newest CJ blog entry has revealed an intro to C. Viper. Here’s her info revealed thus far with new additions:

Crimson Viper- Ms. Perfect
Bloodtype: AB
Likes: her daughter Lauren, money
Dislikes: overtime

Tough and smart female agent. Always moves businesslike, yet doesn’t seem to steer towards duty or humanity. Having trained her entire body as a weapon she draws forth attacks from her suit, certainly a menace. Secretly maneuvers in various places, her true nature wrapped in mystery.

One win quote from the loketests: ā€œGood thing it was settled quickly. With this that child shall return to rise within.ā€

She has two faces: cruel beauty agent and loving mother. Her pride wouldn’t forgive her to not complete her work punctually. Her special skill may be using her techniques off-duty to amuse Lauren, kind of like giving your kid a fireworks/flying show demo I’d imagine.

Me smells a 3S Chun-Li type backstory here. Oh well. The next intro to come will be Abel’s, so we’ll be watching for that.

Wow, C. Viper has a daughter. Didn’t expect them to reveal the family life of someone who’s backstory is shrouded in mystery or whatever else.

They are doing bloodtypes again? Cool. I can update my SF bloodtype list after SF4 is done. :wgrin:

My old post on bloodtypes for those who weren’t around. LOL I could find it over at the Capcom boards using their search engine but I can’t find it on this thread where I originally posted it using this search engine. A search for bloodtypes on this thread only turns up me and vasili10’s posts on this page.

Quickly for AB Bloodtypes in Japan, the group which Crimson Viper now belongs too -

Type AB - Although social outcacsts, type AB’s are natural leaders and are sensitive, cautious, disciplined, and sentimental, but they often hold grudges. (Bratken, Nash, Deejay, Eagle, Sho/Ninja Commando, Juni)

Hmm, well, that pretty much fits Viper down to a T then. Right down to the ā€œsentimentalā€ part with her daughter.

Dog Chapman

I’m tellin you she’s the bounty hunter, does it for the money but hella sentimental and triest to be a good parent.

Actually I believe it’s a reference to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider-Man_(tokusatsu)

For those of you too lazy to click on the link, Marvel made a deal with Toei to market some of their brands in Japan and Toei, being well Toei, turned Spider-man from Peter Parker into something resembling th Kamen Rder Series.

Rokiseph said so too.

did he really because I don’t remember reading that post.

Not that I know for sure either way unless this is a lost in translation thing, but you are talking about a series produced for Japanese television and not a movie, so I don’t see how that could be the reference. Unless ā€˜movie’ isn’t a literal translation.
