Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

Well it can reflect the current world and still take place in 1994 storyline-wise.
And i think more than removing “obsolete” elements, he’s removing stereotypical stuff…

But i might be wrong ^^

I think he said “They don’t have that many bikes in China anymore”. So he would have included them not eventhough but because they are a stereotype but they are obsolete. They were in Z2, not just in SFII. I would slightly change your statement

to:
It can reflect the current world and still take place between SFII and SFIII storylinewise without taking place in 1994.

That’s not possible, there are dates given for the other games.
But what you should think about, is WHY would Street Fighter have to happen in our world ? Why not a parallel one…then they can do whatever they want.
Cause that’s where it happens anyway, you hadon’tken see some strange guy wearing nothing but a white gi and headband travellin the world to beat on other people in our world…

Of course it’s possible, they can do whatever they feel like, even piss on the dates to keep the game happening “now”, believe it or not. Basically you just said it yourself, kind of strange. Nobody said it has to happen in our world, I said today/currently/now, meaning today’s mode, cars, buildings, music etc like SFI, II and III did.

Well, i personnaly think dates aren’t really that important anyway.
As long as the game doesn’t change the story…

but i see other characters in our world though…

Balrog just got a new tatoo on his face and is facing a new lawsuit.
Fei long had died many years ago. peaple say it was from a ninja attack.
I see dhalsim on television everytime I flip the channel to see AIDS in africa.

ok, you guys can laugh now.

So…how old is Makoto? :wonder:

And  to the Balrog. The Dhalsim one though, I will hold my opinion on it.

lol. what? he looks like he’s a starving african with AIDS.
I’d assume Makoto is in her teens. typical, right?

btw, its about time you got a hot ass avatar.

Haha! Dayum!

And thanks on the avatar comment. I was lookin’ at my GTA case and wondered if they had a GTA font. Sure enough they did.

Note: I thought this was a story thread, which is why I never came in here [at all]. Then I saw a link that Sano posted somewhere [I think in the SFIV forum] to compliment one of vasili10’s posts. Now I know this thread is different than what I thought, and pretty cool. I might have to frequent here more often.

Nice avatar too. I could tell it was Vegett0’s because of the ‘shimmer’ effects.

Heh. This thread’s basically why i joined up SRK…
Really cool people here, and no dumbasses(seems like they tend to stick to GD :D).

Btw Aerialgroove: SFIII wasn’t that realistic… Remy’s stage’s supposed to be France ? Hmm hmm…maybe some japanese dudes need to come and check for themselves then
But i get your point

True, the randomness of the nationalities is one of the major problems with the character design in III.

I was just wondering, is Capcom trying to merge the traditional Japanese ink style with crappy American Art Nouveau rap album design to make everybody happy?
Compare:

Also notice how the body has strange, obvisouly photoshopped/horse pilled proportions, just like Ryu in SFIV (head too small on the egm cover, too big in the game).

EDIT:
Link works now.

Can’t see the second link =/

The second link doesn’t work [hotlink protected].

Aerialgroove:

> It’s more important to “include as many characters from the original cast as possible” than to make the story logical, just like in Z3.

You can do both though. Just separate characters into “story characters” and “non-story/fan service characters”.

I can’t say Ono removing the bikers from Chun-li’s stage is indicative of them moving the timeline forward/ignoring the timeline altogether, but I could be wrong.

Why are the bikers so important anyway? Nobody knows why they disappeared. If they want to preserve that aesthetic in Chun-Li’s stage, then can do it. I’m more interested in the fireball-roasted chickens myself.

yeah she is, but her birthdate is wrong it should be 1983 not 1980.

Third strike ages

Makoto ( age 16, birthdate 1983)

Elena:( Age 18 or 19 , birthdate 1980)

Ibuki ( Age 18 or 19 , Birthdate 1980)

Sean ( Age 18 or 19 , Birthdate 1980)

Ultima, nothing is for sure, that’s for sure. My guess is that they’re trying to make everything fit as much as possible by not highlighting the time and storyline conflicts more than necessary and shifting the focus to other characters and their relations to the old characters. Of course it’s just my guess and of course it ruins all the fun of trying to make sence of the story but party poopers like me have given that up with Z3.

I do because, like the rest of the world, I watched and read the interviews.

okay so vas, you think Viper is the final boss and I can definitely see that.

Question(s) are…

Is she a former doll?

An update of the Doll concept?

Or someone completely new?

And if either of the first two are true, does that now mean we’re more or less likely to see Cammy and/or Rose in this game.

Why would she be a doll ?
Dolls aren’t supposed to be as strong as real Street Fighters, Cammy is stronger because she has Bison’s dna.

Ah very awesome if it werent for those links I wouldnt have known about the cameos.
