Dhalsim and Chun-li have been confirmed!
EDIT: Whoops, someone already said that. Even though dhalsim is in it, I still hope Necro returns, which is probably a very low chance now.

Please God let Alex and Sagat be confirmed. . .Q as well.
⌠or just Sagat. The Ryu wallpaper is not from SFIII but from a DVD cover, if I remember right. He didnât have those gloves and eyes in SFIII art. The puzzle art is great. Did Akiman do it?
I think Akiman did all of it, though it kinda looks like Shinkiro did Necro and Effie.
When SF4 was announced with the trailer, a bunch of fans posted on Akimanâs website, even providing a link for the trailer. Akiman himself didnât say much about SF though.
He is freelance now so he can technically work for anybody. Really high chance heâs involved. Canât say for sure though.
Re Puzzle - Ah so thatâs what that image was. I remember seeing an image of that in Arcadia magazine during SFâs 15th Anniversary. I think itâs stuff Akiman drew for the event. It was coupled alongside the image Akiman did of Chun-Li doing a spinning bird kick that was one of Arcadiaâs pull out posters of the month.
Well, if the games being kept all hush-hush. . .It would make sense.
WTF ?
I seriously hope that âblogeekâ website is wrongâŚ
Before SFIII
That would be kinda stupid. They should call it SF 3D or something then, not IV. But they look older than in SFIII so I hope itâs not true.
Yeah, well it seems itâs just a rumor, and that brasilian blog just stole screenshots on the photobucket account ^^
I seriously hope itâs not true, and that we will see some SFIII character like Alex and Makoto ^^
Time will tell
I hope that after all this time they are not still having storyline problems. Because the fact that Dhalsim is back gives me the feeling that plotwise, this is Alpha 3 all over again.
Samurai Shodown is chronologically mixed, so I donât mind another series of mixed SF games.
Just venting butâŚ
Know what I find annoying? Question threads closed before the correct answer is posted in them: http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=144729
Eh, oh well next time.
Bison was killed by Akuma in ST and Balrog was the one who took over Shadaloo and put it down within a month. so there is no real reason to set SF4 in between 2 and 3 since Bison die in 2 and shadaloo collpse within a month . Gillâs orgazation show up in SF3 double impact 5 years after bison death.
so in between 1993 and 1998 who in the world is going to be host the tourment? Bison is Dead and Shadalooâs gone, the only orgazation after SF2 would be Gillâs orgazation.
All the pictures and information weâve seen from bloggeek were confirmed to be stolen. I still find the Shen Long part too BSed to be true,⌠unless that blog guy took a line from the written article and passed it off as fact rather than a joke. But it wouldnât surprise me, though, if the gameplay elements were in fact real.
That said, itâs more likely now that it will be between SF2 and SF3. And I think itâs a good decision actually. Who DOESNâT want to know what happens in that five year gap? The boss doesnât have to be Bison or Gill, but perhaps someone entirely knew who can connect them together? It makes perfect sense.
Though I do think Street Fighter Beta wouldâve been a more appropriate title, you never know. They might make a third SF4 installment that is in fact a continuation of SF3. I mean, look at how long Vampire Savior came around in the Darkstalkers canon.
Perhaps as it is with many sequels, Capcom disowned SF3 and ârebootedâ the story, but called it SFIV.
Hellion may be correct. When I first heard the news, I thought âthatâs stupidâ, but I also realised a) thereâs precedent (e.g. Samurai Shodown with its crazy timeline, DMC3 and DMC4 taking place before DMC2), and b) it could be what the âNew Beginningâ subtitle refers to. WHile I wouldnât necessarily say theyâre going to ignore it completely, itâs quite possible that they will retcon the events of SF3 out of the official story and continue in a new direction.
sigh Tiamatâs gonna be in for a world of hurt.
Haha yeah, thatâs gonna be a pain updating the plot guide^^
Already is a pain(guilty party present and accounted for:sweat:). Although if such a retcon does happen, since SF3 and beyond was the loosest bind to the rest of the saga, it may not be terribly messy.
Well, on the plus side, Alpha might have been the biggest pain in the guide, but it was also the most intriguing to write about, IMHO. âŚin part DUE to the clusterfuck, admittingly.
Depends if they go in another direction, like a time split a la Back to The Future :looney:
