Okay thanks. I’ll change it in the next update.
Doesn’t the hit thing make more sence than “one finished round”? Maybe it’s the same word or symbol.
No, because RC’s “blow” equals my “round”. Those are the two words using the same kanji and thus are both correct, not “hit.”
About your character pages, it really makes no difference to me how you decide to organize them. The plot guide does a storyline sequential order, while a source like AAC goes by game release order. I suppose a format like AAC’s would appeal and be more understood by anyone instead of just hardcore SF fans, but to say give a timeline for characters, the plot guide’s approach may flow better with people trying to learn about the characters and their role in the SF universe. It’s up to you aerialgroove, as long as your intentions come through.
I did get Chun-Li’s ending on the SF2 Cell phone game on level 3. She basically did a bunch of her moves on her China background similar to what Ryu does in his MVC1 ending. The text that came on the screen described her SF2 ending in great detail while Chun-Li was jumping around and doing her moves, it told of her kneeling in front of her father’s grave and she even had the same quote about her saying she’ll become a single girl again. Really nice!
Gonna go through the harder levels and see what happens little by little. The ending will most likely be the same for her but I did not see any game credits of the cast behind the game which may be on higher levels.
aerialgroove:
List characters in alphabetical order. One profile per character. List separate info for stats (most characters will be static anyway, so having a dozen or two characters with altered stats out of 80 characters or so isn’t a big deal). List story per game that they appeared in that counts, a la the plot guide.
Also, I wouldn’t even think about trying to do such a project without PHP/MySQL, or some way of doing it dynamically. My SFP project is built on spreadsheets and databases (data for literally thousands of moves, not to mention character stats and attributes), and any time I have to make a change - or even numerous changes - I can do it in a couple minutes at the most. If I did that with static code, it would have been a nightmare to maintain and update. As will yours, I imagine, if you go that route.
Thanks Ultima, that’s why I haven’t started on the section yet (and because I was too busy with cutting the fkin HNK video that I have to do all over again due to some technical difficulties). I’ll pm you with some questions if that’s ok.
Some FF1 questions. Is there anything that would explain-
- what Sodom’s responsibilties were in Mad Gear?
- why the Andores joined Mad Gear?
And how many days did the events of FF1 occur?
Gouki orange hair
On both these pictures of Street Fighter III 2nd Impact -Giant Attack- Gouki has some orange hair.

Is this supposed to make him look older or is it just a glitch? I think it looks just weird.
Weird, his hair is 100% red here.
Perhaps you have different monitor settings than me ?
His hair is colored differently in parts come SF3. Even his SF3 sprite is like that. Ditto for SF3 artwork and even his appearance in Ryu Final. Not sure if it’s orange or white in every specific case but there is a color change in his hair. It’s just to show that he is aging. He’s gotta be pushing 60 or so by SF3… who knows maybe he’s older than that.
Wait aerialgroove: You only now noticed Gouki’s hair is graying in 2I/3S? I thought it was obvious to anyone who glanced in his general direction! O_O
Jesus. I seem to surprised very often in this thread at things that other people realise that seem so blatantly obvious to me and/or things I’ve known about for years. It is me, or… ?
Sodom was Mad Gear’s holder of the purse. He was also an underground pro-wrestling promoter.
Best I can tell the Andores joined to utilize their pro wrestling skills.
FF1 according to an upcoming timeline took place within the space of a month.
Gouki’s around 52-53 in 2I, and 54 in 3S.
Same here. Hence I make an effort to rather be thorough and blatantly obvious than be subtle with info presented and/or translated, because what may seem redundant to me might be unnoticed by other people.
LOL! Sodom was Mad Gear’s Treasurer!?
Now that I didn’t know. In light of what I said above, I apologise if it’s been mentioned before. I don’t think it’s in the plot guide (I just checked; it doesn’t say so).
Come to think of it, that doesn’t even make sense. Why would Sodom be treasurer? I thought Mad Ger was financed solely by Belger?
Well it never bothered me that he had some grayish hair in 3rd Strike, never paid much attention to it. The 2nd Impact art just looks strange to me. It seems as if he has a horizontal line going from red to orange to red:

and here it seems as if the hair was missing because it has the same color as the skin.
In 3rd Strike it doesn’t even pop out a lot at least not to me. But yeah pretty lame of me.
Have you seen this?
And this?

Refresh my memory, does Gouki have a birthdate? If not, how did you arive at this age? Super curious…
Yeah i don’t remember gouki having a birthdate anywhere either…
But i havent read every single sf book/game manual though ^^
It’s just what the FF1 cd insert says. If any other source says otherwise (which I doubt because Japanese sources tend to be consistent), then I wouldn’t know about it.
Sources with Gouki’s SSF2X stats (AAC, the Fanbook, SSF2X Gamest mook to name a few) say the following for his DOB:
??/??/19?? (around 48)
Following into sources stating that SF3 NG/2I takes place 3-4 years after SF2 while the plot guide currently says 5 years, Gouki would be around 52-53 in order to satisfy both places.
Wow didn’t know that. I’m still learning things lol thanks!
:bgrin: See what I mean Ultima? That Gouki info’s been in the plot guide since at least the last two updates.
Sure thing sano.:wgrin:
