Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

Sketches no. Info yes, but in Japanese, and less info than in the Fighting Bible (the book you asked about earlier).

I like this one more:

A bunch of Necro stuff I posted up in the past, for either Dorkie or Pootnanies, I forget. Sorry if you are one of them under a new name lol! Ohs well, enjoy!

This one’s from Aerialgroove that I saved, he probably has a better link for it -

His sketch work from Gamest magazine.

Fan art:

I forget where these are from, pretty sure they’re from Aerialgroove.

More fan art:

SFGNG Hong Kong comic origin:

HK comic covers:

Back of HK comics:

Small comedic drawings in HK Comics:

There from the SF3 Fan book I think it’s called.

Animator of Heavely Sword with second player Necro Resauras Toy on his desk, took these pictures with the ā€œMaking of Heavely Swordā€ second instalment I dowloaded on my PS3.

Necro doujin (fan made comic) I picked up in Japan.

That’s about all the Necro stuff I got…

Thanks!

Sorry for double posting here, but I found that whole book online. But the site doesn’t work anymore for some reason.

Can anyone read japanese, if so could someone translate this pic?

I still wonder what role Octopuses play in Necros creation, being one of the very few original designs from SFIII. But I remember that the text didn’t tell.

Sftchina is working now. As for the octopus, they(the scientists, Gill and Urien) probably extracted Dna or something from the it, and then transfered it to Necro.

Does anyone here have a photo of some japanese vending machine Street Fighter III mini figures? I can’t find one anywhere.

EDIT: Found a photo.

As I had posted much earlier in this thread, there isn’t much I can make out because it’s almost completely written in scribbles, but the first sentence towards the right says that Necro’s stage background may have started out as the final boss’ stage background.

Hello everyone!
I’m new on the board, i’m Fenrir a long time street fighter fan.
First of all, i’d like to thank everyone here for the great work and searches done for the street fighter plot guide!
Then there’s something i want to ask you about sf eternal challenge.
I’ve read somewhere that there are 2 editions: one with crappy paper and the other one similar to the japanese one. Is that true ?
I want to buy one, but it seems pretty hard to find, i might eventually buy one from clubudon (a bit expensive, but there’s a new cover, and it’s limited edition). I don’t want to buy a japanese one cause i want to be able to read the content instead of just stare at the images :stuck_out_tongue:

Aerialgroove: about your comment on my ā€œQā€ screenshot from Street Fighter II:
I know it’s not really Q, but i sometimes put some funny pics/facts on this page as well (like the don kanonji / sagat comparison :D).

edit: i just registered(only posted a reply on a owen wilson thread), why do i have negative rep ? O_o
edit again: alright, as i said i’m new to the boards, but i don’t think this kind of negative rep is allowed:

How can i report that to a mod ?

Welcome Fenrir, creator of RyusTemple.net.

  1. As an image starer I prefer the Japanese version (better paper) but you’ll be better off with the US version (not bad either).

  2. I know, didn’t think you thought it was him, I’ll make it clearer.

  3. Ignore it and don’t go to pointless threads that have nothing to do with Capcom on a Capcom board. I wouldn’t report it, just ignore it. Who cares about those stupid ratings anyway. I don’t even know how to rate (not that I want to).

The US version that has the same paper quality as the Japanese one of SF Eternal is the Hard Cover Edition. There’s 2 different covers, one by Shinkiro (different cover from the soft cover version) and one by Daigo Ikeno. They also fixed a lot of typos from the paperback edition. It’s rare because it was a limited edition so I’m not sure if you’d have an easy time of finding it at this point.

Only us Premiums can rep, you’re new so that’s why you got negged. Back in the day, new people got flamed instead, now it’s both lol! Don’t take it to heart, it’s almost like a right of passage. You never know a lot of those people may become your friends one day. Well I’ll float you some positive rep. But yeah I mod the comic book forum and I can tell you most of the higher up mods are not gonna care…

Best advice? Avoid General for at least a year…

Street Fighter’s 20th anniversary…
If I remember it right, it was today.

Really? Specifically today? I’ve known that it’s this month, but you know a date from somewhere?

If I remember it right, the release date was in the manual of the arcade version of Street Fighter 1.
I have to find that manual…

LOL so that’s why we got Puzzle Fighter today. Well, us PS3 owners, the 360 owners got it a day before. Got to spend SF’s birthday playing Ryu and Chun-Li on Puzzle Fighter online say word! Happy Birthday SF. Well if it is or isn’t it’s probably close enough. Capcom USA’s gonna officially celebrate it next year.

Thanks, that’s what i wanted to know !
In fact, i saw them on club udon (http://www.clubudoncomics.com/), so i guess they still have some, or else they would just not put it in the list right ? I’ll try to buy one anyway (Ikeno edition i think, i like it better).
It doesn’t seem out of stock, since it doesnt say so(unlike Street Fighter TPB Vol. 2: The New Challengers for exemple).
About the neg rep, you’re right i don’t care, i’ll just avoid general
@aerialgroove: your mp box is full, i answered you on your mail :wgrin:

And Happy birthday SF !

edit: order made, i hope i get one heheh

Happy birthday.

I talked to RedCyclone he translates the CFJ quote of Chun-Li to Zangief as
"The last blow hit the hindbrain directly ā€œ
not as
"From one finished round, I’d conclude you were too short of an afterbrain rightā€¦ā€

vasili10, what does the cover of Gamest # 61 look like? Can you scan the line that says Chun-Li is a reason for Zangief to shave? Thanks! (or make a snapshot of it)

I want to make a characters section for my site. It should include all characters from SF, FF and MB and always state where each info is from. How should I list the characters? Should I name each character only once (E. Honda) or several times in the alphabet (E. Honda, Edmond Honda, Honda)? Should I sort them by game/relation or just by the first letter? What about characters like Guy or Haggar that are in several games? Should non-playable characters like Sally or Gouken be in the same list or in an exta list? If they are in one list, should they be colored/written differently?

About your website:
Why not make a different list for each game series and have the links for every characters appearing in them ?
And have the same link for the guys that appear in several games ?
What infos do you plan to have in that section ? Full bios/game quotes/etc. or just basic stuff ?

Anyway, i’m currently working on the translation stuff i told you about…going smooth, it seems i’ll be able to do it, i managed to code something in php that’s working, i just have to input all the words in my ā€œenā€ file ^^
It’ll be basic translation though, and not nearly as good as a real translation, but it will save me a lot of trouble writing everything twice and still be better for non french readers than nothing
