Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

In case anyone is up for scanning it, the evidence that Saiki referenced is from AAC, p. 339, Beriol’s Vampire Savior entry about midway through: “He partitions her (Morrigan’s) soul [in parentheses her magical power] into 3,…”

I’m sure the info can be found in All About Vampire Savior as well, but Saiki doesn’t cite that book as a source, only AAC, All About Vampire Hunter, dictionaries and his friend from Capcom.

You’re very welcome TS & The Illuminati.:china:

I’ll scan it soon enough. Hopefully today.

Thanks

So I just got my copy of the Vampire Graphic File and it’s great! :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

If you own Capcom Illustrations, Capcom Early Days and Capcom Design Works there isn’t much in the way of new gaming artwork that isn’t in those books already. There’s about 2 pieces that I’m not too sure of having seen in one book or another but I tend to be mistaken about stuff like that when it’s very few images - hard to keep track mentally of all the DS images in artbooks lol!

They do however group together the portraits of the characters from their Capcom crossover appearances! Puzzle Fighter, Pocket Fighter, MVC1, MVC2, CVS1, CVS2 and CFJ!

There’s also some rare stuff, the two sketches of Morrigan’s father Belail that have not been seen in another Capcom book since Capcom Illustrations!

The best thing is they have all of the rejected character designs for all of the characters, these are really great! I’m talking for example 10 alternate renditions of Demitri, 8 of them in color! One of them even looks a little like Jedah heh heh! Oh, and Lilith’s very early designs as an angel (originally she was going to be an angel but Capcom decided against it due to their being too many angel girls from other Japanese companies at the time) featured in Capcom Early Days!

Artwork from their video game endings - check!

OH HELL NO they did not forget about the alternate / powered up versions of Bishamon, Gallon / Talbain, the Marionette, Soul Stealer, and Dee of Vampire Collection! You even get to see Dee artwork! :lovin:

They show covers of all of the Vampire/Darkstalkers All About books, all of the Vampire manga (Itoh Mami IN DA HOUSE!), all CD mucic covers and even all of the covers from Studio Udon’s Darkstalker comics! Here’s a blurb on the OVA series too and they picture a whole lot of DS toys too!

THIS BOOK RULES! If you even remotely like Darkstalkers and don’t get this book YOU ARE A COMMUNIST! This is like the SF Eternal Challenge Book of Darkstalkers but not as much text (which is good for me since I can’t read Japanes lol!) Anyway, I give it 11 out of 10 stars, I’d score it higher but that would be too much! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT’S HOLY GO GET THIS BOOK!

Here’s the page from AAC regarding Morrigan’s dad. Of course it would have to be on the Poison page.

And here’s Akiman’s girl of the month from Gamaga magazine, yet again he draws another character from Namco character from Namco x Capcom! This is Valkyrie of the game Valkyrie No Densetsu. To her right is Kurino Sandra (frog looking dude) and to her left is Sabine (girl in a costume) and both of them appear in Namco x Capcom too. :lovin:

Okay, this is what needs to come out in three months, a Street Fighter Graphic File.

You sold me sano. I’m putting Vampire Graphic File on my list.

Cool man it has all of the character quotes in Japenese too considering that it’s not very costly it’s a great book to have.

Requesting Dee artwork. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wouldn’t mind picking this up, but I realise, after shelling out for various All About books, I don’t have the money for regular art books. :frowning:

It’s not really new, it’s hand drawn images without color of his win poses and ending art in Vampire Collection for the most part, they aren’t too big either, I just think it’s cool that it’s in there is all, for saving me the trouble of future google image searches if the need arises.

Thanks Sano.

No prob!

Hey, Udoneko just dropped a hint that they might publish the Vampire/Darkstalkers Graphic File in English!

“the Vampire art book is great… it would be even better if its in english… right? hee…”

Same thread, posted by Udoneko -

*"actually, since I am here, I mind as well give you guys an update of whets going on at the UDON front -

You all know by now, that we are working on redrawing the WHOLE Super SF turbo game. We have been talking to Capcom and working on making this happen for some time now, only, of coz, we can’t say anything until it’s announced. We are all very excited that we will be redefining the visuals of our fav game! The whole crew is working on it, including (at least the following): Alvin Lee, Arnold Tsang, Andrew Hou, Long Vo, Omar Dogan, Joe Ng, Kevin Lau, Noi Sackda, M3TH, Espen Grundetjern, Jim Zubkavich, Rob Ruffolo, Ken Siu-Chong, and myself. That means we are ALL tied up to this job for at least the next 5 - 6 months. So unfortunately, we wont be able to do another issue of Sf Comic until we are done.

We have not stopped planning thou. While the artists are working on the game, me and Ken has already plotted out our next Sf legends: Chun Li story for all 4 issues. Then we are moving onto plotting out the turnament arc, which will be interesting coz we are also updating the game endings, we are planning to possibly tie in our comic story with what we are doing in the game (whenever possible).

In the mean time, we are putting out a bunch of SF manga to give you your SF fixes. SF Alpha #1 by Masahiko Nakahira will be shipped within these 2 weeks (they are already at Diamond warehouse!!) For those going to Anime North next week, you will be able to pick up a copy there too! And don’t forget later, we will have SFII - unaltered and uncut by Masaomi kanzaki, and Sakura Ganbare also by nakahira! End of the year, you will see RYU Final!

And we will be attending San Diego Comic Con again, of coz with some exclusive goodies! Will keep you posted on what they are soon!"*

Oh snap Arnold Tsang is involved! Sounds good!

Oh it does? Wow, that’s definitely a nice book.

Oh hey I don’t know how all those 2 question marks got in my response you quoted, I was posting from a PS3 at the time, guess there was a glitch of sorts or I goofed somewhere. Ohs well I edited them out anyways…

Does anyone else think this is a BAD idea? It’s one thing to update Sf2 with SF continuity, but it’s another to update them with your own continuity. Are Udon officially the Keepers of Street Fighter Canon now? Cause dammit, that was supposed to be my job! >:/

I might not mind so much if, while I enjoy the SF book (what little I’ve read of it), I didn’t think it was a bit rough around the edges and pretty average for a comic book. Or maybe I’m just jealous… Bah… >:|

Hmm. I still have the entirety of the fist SF series to read, as well as the first six (?) issues of SF2 (picked up the 3rd graphic novel over a month ago, but haven’t had time to read any of it). I’ve only read up to issue 8 in the first series, and haven’t been keeping up since then. I think it’s time to catch up.

Sven of Capcom USA on Capcom’s website has said that Studio Udon’s comic book canon probably won’t be adopted by the SF games so I wouldn’t worry too much about that much.

Though I don’t know what that means for these newer endings being canon or not. But if the newer endings only update the language a bit and reinforce SF2 Revival endings and old ST endings, (and get rid of wrong stuff like Cammy/Vega lovers and Blanka not knowing his name is Jimmy) then no worries I guess.

I… don’t think they will go crazy for example and have SF2 MI-6 Cammy be brainwashed like she is in the comic. I mean, they are SF Fanboys too so I don’t think they will go TOO FAR. Of course you never know about these things sometimes…

Anyway, Sven’s post here, just below Rioting Soul’s -

Man. I need to make my presence known more over there, lest any of TAS’s [bad] ideas make their way to Capcom management before my [good] ones… >:|

Also sano, I’ve never seen any artwork of Dee, nor do I know his ending, since I don’t have the game. That’s why I was requesting it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh hey no problem I’ll hook you up with the Dee scan when I get the chance.

Yeah TAS is seriously working overtime over there.

I agree completely. Hopefully the lines separating the 2 aren’t slowly blurring. I agree that certain areas of SF2s plot could use some revision. However, I think its important that the canon established in the games is kept separate from what goes on in the comic book series.

I know Ive been a stranger lately. My bad, everyone.
