One of you read it?
This is off topic, but does anyone here own Capcom Design Works? Y’know, the one that came out more recently. What games does it cover? Anything worth having? There’s an auction in Japan going on and I want to know if I should bother picking it up at this point. I’m more looking to get frame data books. Thanks.
Are you talking about Capcom Early Days? It’s cool if you don’t have Capcom Illustrations, it’s a reprint. And if you don’t have Capcom Illustrations by now, that book is out of print and the internet is full of bootleg copies that don’t hold up to the original version. Both have material the other one doesn’t have, I know we went through all that in this thread somewhere like years ago…

First disciple of the Muay Thai Emperor Sagat, Adon came to loathe his master for losing to the wandering Ryo. He still can’t forgive Sagat for disgracing his martial art and hopes to drub Sagat himself to be Muay Thai king.
AMINGO
He’s (It’s?) a humanoid plant blown by the winds and all grown up, hoping he’ll save his pals from withering. This is caused by the Eroding Armor of a certain someone. He’s a cactus, but a swell guy to make a buddy of but no hugs!
BABY HEAD
The youngest of Team Commando, he’s a mere two years old who can’t let go of his pacifier. He uses a power suit he made. Battling the world’s worst criminals, this toddler should give up his pacifier–it’ll ruin your teeth, dude!
BALROG
The brawler of the slums who sought to be world champion but went to the dogs to become a show boxer in a casino. Recruited by Bison he became one of the Four Shadaloo Kings. Although he never was world champ, watch his punch!
BISHAMON
Once a samurai, the haunted armor Hannya turned Bishamon into a killing machine who wielded Kien, a mystic sword. Bishamon broke free of his suit of armor, but it stayed animated, took his name and now desires more carnage.
E. HONDA
A slap-attack sumo wrestler who travels the world to spread the wonder and joy of sumo. He’s quick for his 130 kilos. He looks like a traditionalist but coaches ladies member of The Dolls in Sumo Art. That’s just not kosher!
EAGLE
A bodyguard of England known for his bow tie and moustache. He uses two cudgels to pummel his enemies. Following his own philosophy aesthetic, he fights for beauty’s sake and reflects this in his refined speech.
EVIL RYU
He’s the Ryu created from Satsui No Hadou who’s gone to the dark side of Gouken’s arts once used for assassination. Akuma freed the evil Gouken had successfully been reining in, and now Ryu threatens to follow in his evil footsteps.
HUGO
A German giant who uses his massive frame on the U.S. pro wrestling circuit to earn his living when Mad Gear ended. Because he’s so powerful he has trouble keeping a partner, but this old softy muddles through thanks to his sexy MANager.
HUITZIL
Not a golem but a battle robot that rested in Mayan ruins. It was made by Pyron to destroy all life on Earth. Huitzil is the reason for the extinction of the dinosaurs but he fights now to rid the world of Dark Stalkers.
MAKI
Second daughter of Guy’s master, Maki Genryusai is a blonde who is a Japanese ninja skilled in the ways of Bushin-ryu. She’s has known Guy, who is her sister Rena’s fiance, since childhood and hopes to keep her legacy from going to Guy.
MEI LING
Twin of Hsien Ko who became in respect of her mother an ascetic mainly rests in her own coffin that Hsien carries. To save her mother’s soul she fought Dark Stalkers and became a normal girl thanks to her mother’s power.
MORRIGAN (LILITH VER.) - ‘Liligan’ of Marvel vs. Capcom 1
A hybrid beauty created when Morrigan and Lilith collided. She has the body of the former and Lilith’s soul. She looks like Morrigan in a Lilith get-up and lives until she bumps her head again, that is, if she bumps it again.
SODOM
A leader of the Mad Gear gang is a real fan of Japan but doesn’t quite understand it. But Guy set him straight. Sodom went to learn more about the country but still just doesn’t get it. Shoulder pads and zori? Jeesh!*

I don’t think it’s the Early Works book. I’ve seen that one (I think I missed an opportunity to pick one up back in 1997, but I was way to broke to afford it then).
Stupid me. I should have just done this search before asking about the book. 
Oh cause Early Days (reprint of Illustrations kind of) was the most recent book, before SF Eternal. That book came out prior to Early Days.
Capcom Design Works is my favorite of all of the Capcom art books. Well the link you provided seems to have all the pages just about sooo not much need to talk about it I guess…
Arcadia magazine this month pictured a Darkstalkers AKA Vampire Graphic File Book, I wonder if it’s a new art book (the Devil May Cry Graphic File came out a while ago to celebrate DMC’s 5th Anniversary, that book is great BTW) or a reprint of an older book…

Oh yea, that’s right. I suppose one major reason Maki wouldn’t want Guy to be the next Bushin master is because it’s “her legacy” since she’s the daughter of a former Bushin master. Dunno if that’s ever been directly stated, though.
With the exception of Maki’s father still being Guy’s master, and questionable grammer aside, those profiles are dead on.
It’s funny how Capcom produced the Kenichi game and then a character that looks a lot like Chun-Li shows up in the manga, this pic is even surrounded by something that looks like Chun-Li’s bracelet lol!
I keep forgetting to mention this, but in ‘Jump! Ultimate Stars’ for the Japanese Nintendo DS Kenshiro of Hokuto No Ken AKA Fist of the North Star’s win pose is EXACTLY like Fei-Long’s, with him twirling his nunchucks around and sticking his hand out at the end. Course this is a classic Bruce Lee move and both are based on Bruce Lee, but it’s still very cool to see. 
Oh yeah, in Justice League Heroes from Snowblind Superman has a Shoryuken, Batman has Guile’s Sommersault Kick and Wonder Woman has Vega’s Psycho Crusher. It’s hilarious how similar the moves are! Okay I think I mentioned that before but just in case…
Special thanks to PingPong of SRK. As some of you know there is a glitch in the SVC Card Fighters DS Glitch. SNKP is going to fix it by us mailing the game cartridges back to them and getting them replaced. So there may be a huge pause from me with the bios, and when I recieve a new game I’ll have to start collecting cards from the beginning most likely drat… but for now I’ll just keep buying as many Capcom cards as I can in the game to continue with the bios whenever possible.
Have you gotten the Juli & Juni cards yet?

He’s the ninja living in 2026 and uses the same fighting style as Guy Bushin-ryu Ninpo and may be his descendant. A member of Team Commando led by Captain Commando he uses his speed and sharp ninja swords to save Capcom World. *

Hey, anyone wanna help me out please?
I’m having an argument with some idiot about vampire series canon. I read on saiki’s faq that belail split morrigans powers into three parts, but this idiot doesn’t want to take the faq’s word. Instead he want’s me to take his word from the instruction booklet for Darkstalkers 3 that apparently cannot link. Supposedly the instruction booklet contradicts my argument?!
Can anyone be kind enough to link me a scan of vampire source book, where it describes morrigans power being split into three parts?
