Kanji misreading on Udon’s part sorry to say, unless they were told otherwise by Capcom USA to change it. The English text should’ve said emotional rather than mental instability. Also the original Eternal text says that Urien was brought up for the position of leader since he was 6 while the same translated block doesn’t, but that’s already in the plot guide.
C’mon folks! 23 more people and we’ll have 200,000 viewers!
I’ve been watching a lot of Hokuto no Ken episodes on youtube as of late, and I just realized something watching the “God’s Army” episodes. Rolento and Heidern are based off of the Colonel. I thought his resemblence to Rolento was just sheer coincidence, but then Kenshiro challenged him and when he moved, well… see for yourself.
His posture’s even the same. Notice the stance he’s in when Kenshiro grabs his arm. Rolento’s missed throw animation was taken from this. Although instead of throwing knives, the Colonol uses sharp boomerangs.
Has anyone ever seen the Errol Flynn movie “Gentlemen Jim”?? It’s a boxing movie about the historic boxing match between James J Corbett, and John L. Sullivan, the first boxing champion of the world.
The interesting thing is that when I was watching the movie, the character of John L. Sullivan looks almost exactly like Dudley, same moustache, face shape, haircut and everything.
The interesting thing is that John L. Sullivan boxed under London Prize Ring Rules (Bare Knuckle, throws allowed), as well as the later more well known Queensbury rules.
I always thought it would be much cooler if Dudley’s stance looked like this: http://www.ahherald.com/images/at_large/john_l_sullivan.jpg
The actual John L Sullivan has a diffferent beard shape and size than Dudley, as well as a different hair style and skin color. I also can’t see him wearing Dudley’s clothes. Actually the fact that both are boxers and have a mustache is the only common thing I see.
Aerialgroove- Here’s a lookalike. You know the little midget in Necros Sf3 new generation backround, he looks alot like M.Bison’s mechanic in his alpha 2 ending and the animated movie.
Just in case you guys don’t know there’s a mega ad in SF2 issue #6 of all of the SF manga Studio Udon is going to translate in 2007 - Masaomi Kanzaki’s SF2 manga unedited and Masahiko Nakahira’s SF Zero, Sakura Ganbaru! and Ryu Final manga!
Hey aerialgroove or anyone who has Fighting Street, what are Adon’s height and weight said to be? Just wondering if it changed at all from then to the Zero series.
Also Ryu & Ken if available, everyone else’s can be found online with some searching, and the plot guide already has most of them. Thanks very much.
Is it stated in the game or just in the manual? Because I don’t have any manuals of Street Fighter I or Fighting Street. The latest release for the PC (SFII + SFI) probably doesn’t state it in the manual either.
Vasili10 - I emailed you a bunch of pictures of the CCC Vol. 2 SF1 flyers I took with a digital camera but as you can see zooming in on the bios of the flyer doesn’t really help much, it’s still fuzzy and you can’t really make it out.
Here’s Akiman’s girl of the month from Gamaga magazine, I’m a few weeks late with this as I should get the next issue in a few days. I know she’s from Super Robot Wars OG Original Generations but I don’t know who she is…
aerialgroove: I thought it was in the game itself, I hope it is now that you say you don’t have a manual, otherwise I’ll have to just snag a cheap copy of it from Yahoo (boy what a costly research project this is! ). Please check what you can. Thanks.
sano: She’s Zeora Schweitzer. Thanks so much man! You’ve shown me that it can be done, and I do mean legibly! You made an almost perfect shot with one of them. Please keep checking your email for the next step and details. You can do it! I know you can!
Sorry can’t find ingame stats of any characters in SFI.
I noticed that on the wall that Joe smashes in the intro, various Capcom games are mentioned such as Commandos or Avengers. http://www.system16.com/cybercade/games/avengers.html
I saw this in the New York Daily News paper today with the comic strips. Bio on Freddie Mercury who Eagle was based on at least for CVS2 and his SFZ3 handheld appearances.
