Special thanks to mbthomas for posting this on the SF Comics forum. Another live action SF movie is coming out staring Chun-Li in 2008. Here’s hoping it doesn’t suck…

Ryu representing the rest of Japan wants the Northern Territory Islands back from the USSR.
Face paint rival is no joke, that’s an entry repeated several times. Rival also means one or more who believe there’s no one better at something or concerning something, regardless if they know each other or not. Haggar and Zangief are these types of rivals as well.
Not in her eyes: not sure. Perhaps she didn’t even realize he existed. Dunno.
You’re welcome.
Perhaps that’s what the explosion’s for, good a guess as any.
Apparently so, at least back in the WW days she was a reason for him to shave.
Maybe, can’t know for sure if they did.
They also both have blood on their bodies and both seem to have taken a good beating. Chun-Li has slits on the front of her training suit.
Claws make slits.
Balrog has a claw.
Blanka’s got claws also.
Well, I guess this shows that if Zangief was gay, then that was something they later came up with (along with him disliking beautiful young girls whether he is gay or not, of course).
Yeah, like I said to aerialgroove in a PM, the indications from Capcom’s end seemed to begin with SF2 Dash and continued subtly from then on.
Did you have any idea about R. Mika Tiamat, whether it was confirmed anywhere that Karin did sponsor her after Zero 3?
Balrog vs Chun-Li
True but he doesn’t stand in front of a mirror. Mirrors are a symbol for the beauty topic and that’s what connects(/connected) the two. Also Zangief stands in front of a mirror in his SSFII daily art and it’s about beauty too. They are the only ones from the series that look pissed and like they just lost or almost lost a fight (draw?). All others have completely different scenarios happening.

(I didn’t talk to him about it)
Balrog moreso than Chun Li, but yes I see what you mean. She’d be more like: “Crap I let my guard down”, but he’d be: “Confound the cretin that dared to do this.”
In any case, it’s still a maybe.
That was my mistake. I recently found out that it’s from the SFZ3 Drama CD. That’s something Tiamat should definitely remove from the plot guide. Again, my bad.
Btw ‘Red Cyclone’ has recently been updated. E. Honda’s bio has been added to the ‘Characters’ section (http://www.geocities.jp/redcyclone0601/syokaifile/e-honda/e-honda.html).
Okay, I noticed that from a thread over on snk-capcom.com. So it’s from there and only there as far as anyone knows. Thanks Golden Dragon, s’alright man. I saw Red Cyclone’s new stuff also, Honda’s and Zangief’s that aerialgroove brought up to me, how it’s been brought to the webmaster’s attention that a “partially overseas player” suspects that Zangief’s “GASP!!!:wow:” gay.
Here’s an interesting thing to note. Look at this woman in Edi. E’s Fight Fight Revenge ending. Is it just me or doesn’t she look like Lucia? If that is her, it could explain why she faced corruption charges.

Yes I thought that too Lucas. Hope it isn’t her though
That chick doesn’t look the honest type, let alone the type that would repay the mayor by beating up waves of criminals all over Metro City.
Hmm… well, Final Fight Revenge was made after Final Fight 3, so while I dunno what that says about the corruption charge, that does mean that Lucia as a concept existed before that ending so it might possibly be her (possibly maybe whatever).
Actually, given that the nameless girl turns down Edi. E hard when he tries to hit on her (I think she kicks his butt for grabbing her like that?), I’m pretty sure she’s supposed to be a “good guy” (or at least, not in cahoots with a bad guy like Edi. E.).
I read in a retro game magazine, that a legal official patch for SNK VS Capcom Card Fighters is out, that enables you to play the game in English.
There’s also a new version for the Nintendo DS:
http://game.snkplaymore.co.jp/official/cardfighters-ds/
Another original Cammy sketch:
Do you mean part 2 because part 1 was in English for the Neo Geo Pocket, both the Capcom and SNK versions. The second one was never translated.
Never bothered with part 2 myself, collecting all of the cards in part 1 was too damn hard and super time consuming, too much randomness involved. I’ll get the DS version though, hopefully it won’t be as hard to collect all of the cards as part one… at least this time I know of an actual person who will buy it for the DS so I can trade cards with them in the game…
Yes I meant part two, sorry kind of confusing.
Some more stuff from Gamest:
150: This issue began Nakahira-sensei’s chapters of Street Fighter Zero, the manga which introduced SnH Ryu for the first time. Right before it began, he’s interviewed by Gamest. His favorite SF2 character is Vega, in the Zero series Dan’s whom he’s curious about, and he’s named his cat Ryu.
169: I found Sakura’s Shadoloo file in here. Now that I know it’s legit (Cammy’s actually referred to in her file, no number screwups on Capcom’s part that I had previously surmised), expect to see it posted here along with Zangief’s and Rolento’s and if there are any others (Dhalsim and Gen maybe?) I come across when we get to the Zero 2 stuff.
Vasil10: In the middle of updating the CFE Faq, was wondering if you could help explain this quote a little bit which kind of threw me.
Vega to Demitri
“To behave courteously be agreeable, with this division I perceive you’re diminuitive.”
Random stuff…
Here’s Akiman’s latest drawing from Gamaga Magazine, a Capcom character this time hooray! This is Mei Karuma AKA Franziska Von Karma of Phoenix Wright 2. She’s the daughter of Von Karma from Phoenix Wright part 1.
I keep forgetting to mention this but I picked up Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded for the PSP about 2 weeks back when it came out. It has the first three versions of SF2 on it like the PS2 / Xbox version. What’s different is the way you unlock bonuses in the game unlike the previous console / PSP Collections. In CCC Reloaded you recieve a number of points, kind of like coins. You put those points into a big slot machine like something you’d see in Las Vegas. You have to line up three items in a row for the most part to win secrets/artwork/music for the game. Best thing I got was unlimited hand grenades for the original Commando for lots of fun! Anyway on the slot machine Chun-Li and Zangief’s SF2 sprites are standing on both sides, and when you win something they do their win poses and cheer for you! Some icons to line up in the slot machine are 3 of Ryu’s SF2 New Challengers head portraits and three of Chun-Li’s SF2 New Challengers head portraits.
Played some of the previous CCC Remixed PSP game and messed around with Varth, the futuristic shooter game. I finally got around to seeing Ryu’s cameo in the game. It’s really funny! When you destroy four trees in Level Four a small icon of Ryu (not super deformed, anatomically correct) rises out of the ground with a dragon punch and yells the familiar, “Aaaayuken!” from the original SF2! You can also blast him away and kill him for some bonus items!
Not sure if I said what year Varth takes place before but when you beat the game one piece of artwork reveals that it takes place in 2662.
And for some familiar names in Varth, the entire game tales place on a Distant Planet that has a colony of humans, the colony is named Varth. The majority of technology on this planet is run by a super computer known as “Delta-7,” kind of like Delta Red. An Evil Spirit named Duo(like Duo of the Mega Man games, not saying they are the same of course) takes over the system and takes over all of technology. Since the two planes used in the game used old computers and were not linked to the Delta-7 network, they are the only chance for survival.
