Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

Ken probably met Eliza just after the US martial arts tourney, so probably late 1987, or early 1988.

I actually got it from a message board which the guy said he got it from a site.

Unless I recorded it wrong somehow and my memory fizzled out along the line, I got it from Saiki long ago that Ken met Eliza DURING (or perhaps immediately after) the 1st Martial Arts tournamentā€¦

hey i got a quick question. can anyone explain the deal with gill? htis guy has me confused.

Gill quite boggles me, too. I donā€™t know how on Earth did he get those powers. Maybe he was one of the other students of Bisonā€™s (psycho power boy) master. IS he a mutant? If so, then he should be in VS games instead.

I donā€™t know why the hell Capcom made Gill. IS this some cult Capcom is making? Are they putting Gill so that people would worship him? Or maybe Gill is the Messiah. . .

On the other hand, I may not be true. Maybe Capcom just decided to create an insanely powerful guy like Gill (he survived the Shungokusatsu!!! uh-oh. . .) to whoop Akumaā€™s ass. (because he always gatecrashes the party)

Random note: Alexā€™s super moves are military wise thingsā€¦

Hyper "bomb"
Boomerang "raid"
Stun ā€œgunā€ headbutt

the thing i cant understand about gill is why he cares about the wimp alex

sagat killed Danā€™s father, is that illegal?

Gillā€™s powers are the result of Genetic engineering and his birthright I believe.

:frowning: Man, is this thread dying?
A lot of questions seem to have gone unanswered, or have been ignored. Anyway, I hope to stop by tomorrow, so Iā€™ll try to weed through the last 5-7 pages and put in my $0.02, if anybody cares. Now would also be a good time to post or re-post any questions or topics that anybody would like to discuss. Later.

Gill is one of many genetically engineered people. Heā€™s proven to be the strongest, and so became their leader. Because he controls elemental forces, itā€™s believed that heā€™s a reincarnation of the god of the Illuminati, and destined to save his people from some kind of cataclysm.

Well if you say so.

I really need to know for my story.

We donā€™t know for sure if Gill and Urien were Bisonā€™s studentsā€¦but Urien seems to have the same projectile (only at a better mastery than Bison) that he had in SFA3. At least, thatā€™s from what Iā€™ve seen.

So maybe Urien was a student, but Gill wasnā€™t. It could happen. I mean, Urien being jealous of the power his brother wields, goes see Bison, promises him heā€™ll follow his orders, Bison trains the guy. Bison dies, Urien laughs because now heā€™ll be able to kick Gillā€™s ass. Gill says ā€œMan foo, you be smokinā€™ some mad shit if you think you can bust a cap in my ass, yo.ā€

quote:

Does anybody know the name of the little girl Chun Li found in third strike?

:bluu: Sorry man, I checked all around, but I didnā€™t see hide nor hair of a name or even a nickname. If anybody else has a clue feel free to post it.

Saiki doesnā€™t ever seem to drop by anymore, huh? In fact, I donā€™t see a lot of the old timers from the original thread. Az, Ultima, FoF, Berias, Golden Hell, have all been non-existent lately. I donā€™t even see Tiamat, parker, PPJ, Sieg, or GF post regularly. Oh well, there isnā€™t that much to say.

tool_028: I checked up on Hugoā€™s 3s ending and Iā€™m almost positive that that man is from Slam Masters. Unfortunately, Iā€™ve never played Slam Masters so I am not aquainted with the character names. Iā€™ll try and find some source of reference so that I can figure out what his name is. What I thought was weird about the ending was that the ref had announced that there was a new champion tag-team, but I only saw one wrestler. Iā€™ll try and double check Hugoā€™s 3s and all four of his 2i endings to figure out whatā€™s going on.

Igatona:

They wouldnā€™t have been Vegaā€™s students, they would have been students with him under the same master. The rumour is that Vega and two other students were taught by an unknown figure. It was suggested that Gill, Urien, and Vega all were taught by the same man. Of course, that would mean that Vega has some connection to Gillā€™s past and his organization. There is nothing that confirms or denies this.

  3. All About Street Fighter Zero 2 - All About Vol. 14

  9. All About Street Fighter Zero 3 - All About Vol. 21

  10. All About Capcom Head-To-Head Fighting Game - 1987 - 2000(I canā€™t read Japanese, but the Appendix section has every Capcom Fighting Game Character and most of the background characters. Each character either has a male symbol (circle and arrow) or a female symbol (circle and cross). Well, Poison has the male symbol so thereā€™s no denyiing heā€™s a he.)

  11. All About SNK Head-To-Head Fighting GAme 1991 - 2000

  12. Arcadia October 10 2002 Issue - This one contains the pics of Capcomā€™s new Fighter!

  13. Japanese Video Game Magazine - This one has the name of Capcomā€™s new Fighter - ā€œCapcom Fighting Allstars.ā€ Iā€™m sure you guys already know the name of the Game, but I was away from the Net for 10 days!

  14. Street Fighter II Turbo Strategy Guide - They got me on this one. It looked just like an All About book and was on the same shelf. Doh!

  15. CVS2 Official Guide Book - This one has every single Game Character to Character Quotes. Holy Crap thereā€™s a lot of Game Quotes! Theyā€™re all in Japanese though, sob, sob.

  16. CVS2 Ascii Pad Capcom Version for PS1 and PS2 - They had the SNK version too, but you gotta pick one and show your allegiance in my book!

  17. CVS 2000 Pro SR Collection - These are mini models you snap together. This set has Geese, Mai, Cammy, Vega(dictator), Yuri and Chun-Li. Chun-Li and Yuri are throwing fireballs and you can connect the fireballs that rest in their hands so it looks like the fireballs are colliding!

  18. CVS2 SR Collection - This set has God Rugal, Nakaruru, Haomaru, Morrigan, Maki and Sakura.

  19. Megaman Battle Network Cards - A set of four came out of a coin machine!

  20. CVS 2000 Anthology Book and CVS 2000 Gag Books Vols. 1 -3 - These are mostly comic strip gags and a few short stories about the characters. Most are poorly drawn, but thereā€™s always a few good drawings in there to make up for it.

Then I got some Dojinshi (unofficial Fan Made comics).

A. From Dusk - I suspected it was X-Rated when I saw the cover - Morrigan and Lilith holding each other and I was right. Iā€™m not into this kind of stuff, but these books were plastic wrapped and you couldnā€™t tell what was inside until you brought it.

B. CVS - X-Rated, with some Capcom and SNK Characters not in the crossover Games.

C. X-Men vs. SF - Finally a clean one! Short comedic stories and good fan art!

D. Necro and Eiffie - The best one I got! Features Necro and Eiffie before and after they got mutated. Eiffie had black hair prior and Necro (as Illia) was a normal looking guy with that same arrow tattoo on his face!

Well, gotta run. Japan Kicks Ass And I already miss it, but Iā€™m glad to be home safe. - Peace!

I mainly donā€™t post as often simply because I have trouble of thinking of things to say  Havenā€™t heard anything new in a while or seen any questions that I could really answer, myself (or wasnā€™t already answered and recorded).

I mean, you know Iā€™m grasping at straws when I start getting in-depth with Slammasters plot analysis.

[EDIT]

On a side note, I imagine a storyline thread can only go so long if there arenā€™t ever any more canon games being made. annoyed glares at Capcomā€™s direction

Four years and countingā€¦

I still drop by but I havenā€™t really posted in a long time because Iā€™ve being fairly busy and there hasnā€™t really been any new things.
And Iā€™ve pretty much posted everything I know other than small stuff written in the SFZ3, SFIII prologues and the dialogue in the gameā€¦

Yeah, I know, Iā€™ve been incredibly busy as well, which is why I never drop by, but when I did, I was just sort of surprised at the relative dearth of content. What can you do, without any new games there wonā€™t ever be any new territory to cover.:frowning:
This thread has had a good run though, well over 1800 posts. Not to shabby for a game lacking in storyline.
-Clay

By the way sano, thatā€™s a nice little library you have there.

ā€¦

Is insanely jealous

Oh, and er, I havenā€™t had much to say and have been busy and stuff as well. Or something.

Iā€™d check the Hugo 3S ending thing, but thereā€™s no 3S in my country and no one here I know owns a DC. :frowning:

Howā€™s it going Ultima? Itā€™s been a while.

Short round up on Gillā€™s history:
Gill is the head of a secret organization that has lately been labeled as the Illuminati (it wasnā€™t called that at first, but I guess thatā€™s what Capcom is calling it now. Knowing them, it could change). The goal of the organization is to create a perfect utopian society by the year 2200. The founder of the society was believed to be a fallen angel of sorts. Even though his mortal body expires they state that his soul is eternal and contiunually reborn. The societyā€™s next leader is supposed be the reincarnated form of the original, so in a way, there has only been one leader. As technology has increased, the Illuminati have dabbled in genetics to try and re-create the original body of their leader. Both Gill and Urien are products of this experiment and were both born into this world at the same time. However, it was decided that Gill was the true successor, something that didnā€™t sit too well with Urien. As the current head of the organization Gill has pushed ahead with his plans to ā€œsaveā€ mankind. It seems like he may not want to wait untill 2200 for everything to come into fruition. Anyhoo, he holds the Third World Warriors Tournament in an attempt to attract other strong and worthy souls that will all play a role in his scheme.

As Saiki put it, Gill has the ability to ā€œcreate and un-createā€ both fire and ice. Along with that he also has a variety of other special abilities that are hard to categorize (Seraphic Wing and Ressurection). Gill represents the balance of two opposing forces (fire/ice, light/dark) and is not good nor evil, at least on the level that most people comprehend it. Anyway, thatā€™s the long and short of it. If you have more questions, then just ask.
