The first two anyway, third’s from Gamest #13, her first ever appearance.
Yep, that’s her first ever appearance in the one-time official Capcom manga story Hadouken: Prelude to the Struggle. More in my latest Ojou-san summary, and still no sketches.
April 2002? Great, that’s a reasonable place from which to start backwards. Thanks sano.
Culdcept Saga looks to be a fantasy card battle game also utilizing a game board. It takes place in the god-forsaken world of Asgard; its inhabitants seem to be called Scepters, you play as the destined Scepter whom you name yourself, and the girl’s your younger sister Fausteina. Akiman is indeed one of the monster artists.
Exactly. Same with Eternal, same with AAC, hence my curiousity for how it sprouted in the first place.
Cool, your welcome and thanks!
Sorry, thought it was all from the same booklet. Thanks for your scans!
aerialgroove & sano: Sure thing!
I think I have a theory cooked up concerning SF3’s Illuminati and how the term entered the guide, stay tuned minna-san.
Fact: Gill’s catch phrase/ nickname is “Supreme Ruler of the Divine Era.” Found mostly in 3S contexts, but also briefly in the NG Gamest mook. Gill’s NG/2I back story calls his organization a “secret society.” I’ve seen at least one Japanese forum page list organization names in quotes: Vega’s is “Shadoloo” and Gill’s seems to be a cut n’ pasted phrase “The Secret Society Wishing for the Divine Era,” aka a likely tag or label for one of the many real-life groups claiming the title “Illuminati.”
I may be wrong, but I’m betting it’s another instance where you or I won’t see flat-out what you’re searching for in terms most familiar to us, in this case “Illuminati” written in katakana anywhere.

could you do me a favor and translate the below paragraphs for me? It’s just more Slammasters 2 - related storyline/plot material. No rush, so you can translate it whenever you get the chance. Thanks.

???CWA???
Here ya go:
The last time which the “Heat Up Scramble” ruler was decided to be carried out the statement released was “there is no need for two rulers,” deep in the wrestlers’ breasts.
The ruler would through severe training finally grip the seat of glory, so that he would be seen lying in the center stage supreme summit of constant spotlight, while revolving offstage, no comparison to the uneasy shrouding darkness, the defeating matter to crush was the pressure that had become even though the ruler must bear the isolation together with the held dignity.
"Why Ortega disappeared before everyone, there’s now become a hunch."
Zalazof was muttering.
"Since Ortega’s disappearance there have been a lot of post-in-name-only’s for Master of Muscle Bomber. This lineage bears the throne’s held dignity, forging the body as well as, that which exceeds the forged thing drawn out from the heart is likely not unnecessary right? It doesn’t mean that I’m satisfied with my self right now. Eh, but…"
Just at that moment, Astro was gasping a feeling of despair.
As the BWA’s commander he would bring in treachery to restore under the umbrella of the CWA but, with the hot souls of the CWA wrestlers he proceeded to preach with a completely chilled heart.
“Kh, we’ll have good bouts with those CWA small fries, and it’ll influence my diginity as proclaimed sovereign emperor of darkness. Already there are two uses to untie the seals on sure killing moves, to obtain the Master of Muscle Bomber belt, to leave the place in small pieces. The entire world won’t leave to gaze before it!”
That was fast. Thanks. So it seems like those paragraphs are in relation to the time between ‘Muscle Bomber Duo’ and ‘Super Muscle Bomber’. My only question is, what did Zalazof mean when he said(assuming it was Zalazof who said it):
Since Ortega’s disappearance there have been a lot of post-in-name-only’s for Master of Muscle Bomber.
From this part, it sounds like Zalazof is saying there have been several transitional champs since Ortega’s retirement.
This lineage bears the throne’s held dignity, forging the body as well as, that which exceeds the forged thing drawn out from the heart is likely not unnecessary right?
This line of short terms champs show how hard being champ is. I think forging in this context is akin to testing, therefore he’s saying that holding the mantle of champion tests one body, heart, and soul.
It doesn’t mean that I’m satisfied with my self right now. Eh, but…
Perhaps Zalazof is champion at the of SSM2?
Sure thing Golden Dragon. Eh, I just happened to have time at the moment so I did it the same evening. LucasBishop has the right idea for what I figure Zalazof is pondering, but it is a pre-SSM2/SMB account so Zalazof isn’t the winner or anything. Why he says it doesn’t mean that he’s satisfied with himself at the present moment, is he acknowledges that holding champion status is a heavy honor that only comes from training hard and yearning for it and all that extra stuff, but since Ortega still technically won the belt in MB/MBD/SSM and he didn’t, Zalazof admits there’s still room for improvement.
Plot guide history question again: when were the projectile descriptions entered? That is, the special moves how-they-feel-like miscellaneous question. Since the beginning, or later on?
Please help
An editor on Wikipedia is making the claim that the Street Fighter Alpha games are canon because he’s played and beat the games and that Tiamat’s Plot Guide is a “fan document” and thus invalid. He wants me to quote Capcom of Japan directly in order to be satisfied, which is impossible since I don’t know Japanese.
I know how some of you probably feel about Wikipedia, but please help me out here. It’s just occurred to me that storyline we take for granted that’s on WP right now is really secondhand information that is without verification.
Specifically, I need something in writing that says Capcom of Japan has said A2 supercedes A1’s storyline.
edit: I can’t believe I got this heated over e-drama… over fuckin’ ROSE.
It’s hard out here for a story FAQ writer.
Vasili10 - From my old SF Plot Guide print outs, TiamatRoar did state in the Revision History when the effects of the projectiles were added, it was in Version 3.1 and that happened in 10/4/02.
Oh and since you asked me before elsewhere, the Street Fighter Legends Sakura comic comes out this week.
Thanks sano. That’s kind of weird though; Saiki made a post in this thread for the projectile descriptions on 10-12-02, 8 days later. What’s more, Agent Guile asked the very next day where the descriptions came from, Saiki never responded and then everyone including Agent Guile continued postings onto other topics.:wonder:
Thanks also for reminding me about SF Legends; can’t wait.:bgrin:
Dasrik, in accordance with Capcom of Japan All About Capcom Head-to-Head Fighting Games 1987-2000 p. 37 states that the story of Street Fighter Zero 2 is the same as that for Street Fighter Zero. Thus Zero 2 enhances, upgrades, and overrides Zero 1’s storyline when and where applicable.
The plot guide doesn’t act on its own; it’s purpose is to compile all canonical information ever released through Capcom’s direction.
The discussion doesn’t seem to be going my way. WP editors are saying that the article needs information from every game. Bleh.
I think I give up on this. I might as well just go back to what I used to do on WP (monitor Zatch Bell articles)
Greedy aren’t they.
Beyond the realm of OT - Hey Dasrik, given your current avatar and all, have you seen this Japanese live action commercial of Ultimate G&G for the PSP?
Sorry, love that commercial and just looking for an excuse to throw it up here… really funny!

I got my SFII the Animated Movie Uncut DVD with the special Studio Udon comic.

There are grey monitor cyborgs similar to those in the movie, as well as purple cyborgs like in the SS/PS1 game of the movie. Interesting.
What’s RedCyclones current URL?
