I don’t remember, have to look at it and get back to you…
The oldest one I have is version 2.6, dated 4/18/02. Ataru’s drawing of what Saiki thought was Gouken’s daughter is not in there, pretty sure that was before he mentioned that. Printed out it came out to be 220 pages. Due to the nature of it being printed out, not all of the drawings remained in tact, if the drawing didn’t fit on the full printed page only half or a portion of the drawing came out.
Great. That’s a good date, two days before my birthday.:bgrin: Pics aren’t that big of a concern, was just curious for that one. So is 2.6 a text file you have also, or you just have it through a printout?
Sano, I’ll get to your submittions, sorry that it took so long ok?
Tiamat, this might interest you. As you know I’m always looking for inspirations and influences on the street fighter characters and add them to my rip off section. Yesterday I was watching Dr. Slump on TV. For those who don’t know, Dr. Slump is the TV anime show of Akira Toriyama’s Arale-Chan manga, in fact, it’s a remake of the old TV show. He also did Dragonball. The remake show is from 1997.
Anyway I watched an episode, where a bad guy named “Dr. Mashirito,” who invents fighting robots with the names “Caramel Man 1-9” ,tried to take over an underwater castle. He had a group of girls that worked for him and they had A LOT in common with Vega’s dolls.
-Both are a group of girls working for the bad guy.
-In both groups all wear the same outfit but have different skin tones and hair color/style, otherwise they look like clones/color swaps.
-Both wear a tight dark purple/blueish uniform.
-Both wear the little hats, first introduced to SF in SFZ2Gold by Shad Cammy.
-Both are seen as a bunch most of the time and they stand in a line to saltute.
Say whatever you want, to me it was so obvious, that I first thought it was the dolls. I couldn’t take any pictures, sorry. Don’t know if they show up in other episodes, too and if they are dressed the same. They didn’t have any importance in the story, so I suppose they are Dr. M’s usual doll unit and show up in other episodes.
Don’t know if the dolls also appear in the onriginal TV show from '83 or the manga.

-Vasili10 do you think this one is of any use?
-I bought the one with the interviews, don’t know yet when I’ll have it shipped though.
-Do you think you can scan the cover and the colored pic of Sagat and Go from your SFZ Perfect File? Would be fresh. Does it have any other art not seen anywhere else (in that way)?
Cool, happy late birthday! It’s all printed out. 220 pages is a lot though, maybe I can send them to Aerialgroove after he uploads the old Warrior’s Fate stuff if he has room for it, unless Sieg has an older one lying around. I can send it to you if you want by email, little by little.
Something I keep forgetting to mention, Vega(cape) fights everyone wearing a black outfit in SFA2 Gold in SFAA, not just Cammy. He still wears red in all of the endings he’s in of course.
The SFII Bible is an okay overall book, not much for storyline purposes, nothing that other books don’t cover more comprehensively. Kind of like an artwork-light Eternal for SF2 (all versions up to Super X), a little of SF1, previews of SFZ, stuff on SF2V, the SF2AM, home port promo commercials, and some memorabilia.
The other with the interviews unfortunately was a major strikeout. Tons of Capcom people interviewed, but no series or game-specific info within their talks, only overall “how’s working at Capcom as a (insert position here)?” stuff.
The SFZ Perfect Data File does have some other unique art in its booklet. I’ll see about scanning parts of it; guess if I do I might as well scan Ojou-san from Gamest #13’s manga story also, even though it’s not the best drawn manga.
Thank you sir. Actually I shouldn’t need to see the whole thing. See if you can answer some questions before scanning:
Does it mention Hugo surviving Ryu’s shin shoryuken, or the name Illuminati? These are two supposedly established facts by the time 3S came out. I never saw anything for them in the Gamefaqs thread scans, so I wonder when and if they came about in the previous Warrior’s Fate postings, and by whom initially.
Also, is there a versions updates section that describes what stuff was added when? Are either of the above “facts” included in such a section?
Let’s start with those and go from there. Thanks sano.
Talking bout old threads here are sano’s first prints from the original Warriors Fate Thread:
Change the number from 01 up to 10, more to come.
Thanks for your replies vasili10.
More about Dr. Slump and Street Fighter. I think that Area of SFEX3 is based on Arale Norimaki, the main character of Dr. Slump. She’s a robot made by Senbei, a scientist who is kind of like a father to her. Area has glasses, always smiles, tries out her father’s inventions when fighting (her father is a scientist) and I read at Wikipedia that she thinks fighters are robots, but I don’t know where that’s from.

Oh and the names are quite similar, too.
Maybe Akiman is a fan of the show.
Here’s another pic I just found when cleaning up the computer:

So who here knows what Japanese mythological god that Akuma is based off of? When I was watching Blue Seed 9 they showed a picture of a statue of a person who looked similar to Akuma(more than similar seeing as how anyone that has played Street Fighter would be able to tell that Akuma was based off of this mythological god). I also saw the same god on a Japanese strategy book that a friend of mine had(he knew that he looked like Akuma but he did not know the god’s name). I have an inclination that Akuma is based off a god from either Buddhism or Shintoism(not exactly sure which religion though). To find out which god he is and what beliefs are attributed to him would shed some new light on Akuma’s character.
Sure thing aerialgroove. Hey from Goutetsu to Gouken. Is Vega next?
RamirezPlatinum, to my knowledge Gouki (Akuma) isn’t based off of any diety. I suppose he has a facial shape and expression similar to one of the Four Devas of Buddhism, the one of the South I believe is the closest, but that’s about it. Which Blue Seed episode were you referring to (it’s not in #9 and the series isn’t called Blue Seed 9; that’s just the mitama behind the title), and for what game was the strategy guide your friend had?
If he has a facial shape and expression(and hair style) of one of the Four Devas of Buddhism then he must be based off of a Buddhist deity. I can’t exactly remember which Blue Seed episode it was(it has been a long time since I watched Blue Seed) but it was one of the last episodes. It wasn’t a game strategy guide but it was a Japanese way of strategy book(much like the art of war)
My reason in bringing up this whole thing about Akuma resembling a Buddhist deity is that if we find out which deity he is based off of(and in turn which beliefs he follows) we can in turn learn more about the Akuma we know. If you saw the two pictures that I saw you’d believe that Akuma was based off of a Buddhist deity as well(trust me here). Most gods and deities have their own set of beliefs and commandments that they follow. Once followed correctly these beliefs usually exalt one to a higher plane of existance either upon death(Christianity) or in mortal life(Buddhism / transcending Samsara). So I figure that if Akuma is based off of a Buddhist deity(or is a Buddhist deity) he must have achived the pinnacle of his own set belief system and must be the highest exalted being ever of his own belief system.
Nope, too much of his face is covered by Gouki to restore him.
About the true Akuma. First his name is Gouki, Akuma is the American name, he’s not all that demon like in Japan, Capcom USA tries to lead you into that direction. I don’t think you can interprete that much into his character, he probably just has the hairstyle and the glowing eyes of the god.
Did you read sano’s post on Hokuto No Ken/Fist Of The North Star?
http://shoryuken.com/forums/showthread.php?t=173&page=252
Post #6290
Maybe they just based Gouki on him rather than on the original god, many characters have influences of that manga series.
Thanks for the scans Aerialgroove! I never made that connection between Dr. Slump’s Arale and Area of SF EX. It’s funny how when you hear stuff like this it’s been right in front of your face all of this time.
Vasili10 - What I can tell you right now off memory and I’m sure TiamatRoar can tell you is that the SF Plot Guide did have updates describing everything that was added, as did the one I have. TiamatRoar cut it down after time because it was just too massive. I think I still have the last one saved before he cut it down. Anything else I’ll answer later when I have some free time, um, Saturday or beyond.
Cool, whatever you can provide, thanks sano.
True. His death was foretold.
Not necessarily.
Okay, show them if you can, I’m interested.
The first time the Hugo Shin Shoryuken thing was mentioned was when Saiki first brought up the power tiers, if that helps.
The Illuminatti thing… I went around to lots of threads on Shoryuken to figure that out, several of which I think Saiki was involved in. It was… complicated and I don’t remember the details other than I saw lots of people talking about it. I still don’t know where the official source stated it though.
A little bit. If we can discover when the plot guide was updated with power tiers, or better yet, which of the two “facts” were established last in the guide, I’ll know a forward capping point for Arcadia lookups.
This is what I can be sure of so far: Both “facts” would’ve been uncovered for 3S (since Saiki’s told me Hugo’s was in either Gamest or Arcadia, and 3S is the only SF3 game covered in Arcadia), before the Gamefaqs thread ended neither was mentioned, and by the time this thread revived, both were established and accepted as true. So these two had to have been cemented in the old abyssed thread, minus sano’s salvaged pieces.
If it wasn’t for it being “fact”, I would’ve guessed Hugo’s episode is directly from Ryu Final, which is exactly how Ryu vs. Hugo proceeds. Don’t know what to say about Illuminati, except that in NG’s Gamest mook story while skimming it I can read within the text “Illumination” in katakana but I don’t know why.

So that’s Ojou-san huh? Nice! Looks like a Macross character there. A little better than her looking like Yuri to me. Even though she predates Yuri and all.
Vasili10 - In none of the plot guide’s Revision Histories does it mention when Gill’s organization was called the Illuminati, Hugo losing to a Shin Shoryuken or the Power Tiers were added. All three are present even in Version 2.6.
In version 2.3’s update - 3/25/02 -in the Revision History, it does mention how TiamatRoar clarified Alex, Chun-Li and Guile’s position in the Power Tiers so the Power Tiers would have to of been in place before March 2002.
The first mention of the Illuminati in the Revision Histories is in 4/18/02 where TiamatRoar added that they were housing brains, Illuminati connections for Yun and Yang, and why Yun, Yang and Dudley are not considered to be long term enemies of the Illuminati in the organizations/Illuminati section. So again it has to of been called the Illuminati in the Plot Guide before April 2002.
The Character Index at Capcom Japan’s 3rd Strike (DreamCast) page (http://www.capcom.co.jp/newproducts/consumer/3rd/chara/index.html) refer’s to Gill’s group only as the “Mysterious/Secret Organization”. That’s an official source, mind you.
This month in Gamaga magazine, Akiman draws Bridget from Guilty Gear! So he draws a guy this month, kind of…
It’s on his website too but only a picture of it -
From the same magazine, super random but since I was gonna share this with the Super Smash Bros. Brawl thread anyway Square characters are gonna be in a basketball game with Nintendo characters on the DS. Maybe there’s some hope for Square characters to be in Super Smash Bros. Brawl with Solid Snake too, or not I guess…
And for something not as random from the same magazine, say vasili10 - what’s this Xbox 360 game Culdcept Saga about? Looks like Akiman is drawing at least one of the monsters in it -
