Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

Tight! Thanks again. vasili10, could you please translate those bios for me (not including the stats)??? Thanks.

I am this close to smacking this guy for his stupid comments.

I prefer people link or refer to the plot guide (first) rather than just quote it (‘link’ should probably be to aerial groove’s fighting street site or to my gfaqs recongition page. Can’t directly link to gfaqs faqs). I dunno, it just seems less… credible to just copy and paste quotes from the guide itself when arguing a point. Posting a link to the plot guide or saying your quote somes from it lets them know where you’re coming from which would hopefully alleviate some of that “If you know so mutch, well why don’t you give info from japanese comics, manga’s and japanese cannon storyline??” stuff. If someone quotes from the plot guide without saying that it came from the plot guide, how are people supposed to know where it came from as opposed to you pulling it out of your own butt?

Not that the plot guide cites a source for everything in there but I like to think it has developed enough credibility for most people to know that whenever something is stated as confirmed in there, it usually really WAS confirmed from SOMEWHERE (I’m usually pretty careful about that, even if I don’t post a source for every single sentence. Hey, the document’s already past a megabyte of space and each update takes friggin’ long enough as it is). Which is different from some guy randomly stating something on a message board (which is what someone quoting the plot guide without saying the quote comes from the plot guide might look like to other people)

That said, the guy himself is still a jackass. RYU XX CHUN-LI XX SAKURA IS OFFICIAL FOREVER YES IT IS TRUE!!!1 And he accuses other people of making official info up? That’s pretty damn hypocritical.

well I did link to the plot guide once but he just called outdate information.

http://www.killermovies.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=370593

edit: and yes he does know about the plot guide but calls it flase info.

note 1 oh acrosurge seems to have a lot of info on the megaman series.

note 2: he does state his info being from various megaman Japanese sourcebooks , game Scripts and OST soundtracks which include audio dramatization with the game voice actors.

note 3: oh and by the way can you in next update list my screen name next to my real name.

Outdated? Hmm… don’t think I ever heard THAT criticism of the guide before. :open_mouth:

Not that I can see how information about a series that technically hasn’t had a new canon game in TEN YEARS (besides Final Fight Streetwise) could be outdated per say, anyways. Course, I’m under the impression that this guy probably thinks all mangas and animes (and thus Udon’s comic) is canon.

…but none of those had any hawt Sakura XX Ryu XX Chun-Li action, either.

Maybe he thinks hentai doujinshi are canon?

The Plot Guide is tha Real Deal! Fuck tha haters!

I still wish that acrosurge guy who come here and post his vast knowledge on the megaman series.

Note: I think Acrosurge is possibly might be Zan Sidera from the ttp://www.megaman-community.com/

Whew, finally finished my third FF:SW playthrough. Interestingly enough, Joe Willis did the voice for 2-Ill, which shows that for whatever reason they delayed the game’s release an extra 4 or so months, it had nothing to do with adding extra storyline (given that 2-Ill has lines throughout the entire game even up to near the end)

And Chang is probably named after programmer Joey Chang. Drat.

I think I’m just about done finishing all possible updates and touch ups for now. Hey Vasili, how are the stage translations going? I’m thinking that if it’s too much trouble for you to rush them, I can just go and release this update now and then when you’re done, I can add your stage synopsi in another quickie new update ASAP. It’s not like there’s a rule that forces me to make each update months apart or make each update ridiculously huge. It’s just my own laziness that causes that :stuck_out_tongue:

Touched up the final scenes from Kyle meeting Guy onwards. I ended up moving some stuff from characters’ miscellaneous facts and notes to their bios such as stages and ages to try to streamline things a bit. Also ended up deciding to give the four commandos their own sections because it felt wierd cramming them into the CC game section. shrug I’m quite certain that CC was originally intended to be in FF continuity and it’s not like Capcom ever announced that CC was removed from it. Of course, as the Japanese website stated, Alpha Guy becoming Bushin master contradicts a little with it thanks to Gou being Sho’s master (when there’s supposed to only be one Bushin master at a time), but I don’t think that means much because by that logic Final Fight 2 should be struck from the continuity as well. :stuck_out_tongue: Also, Akiman and Ohno were the lead planners of Captain Commando and the game was made during the good old “Hey! Let’s make EVERYTHING the same continuity as Street Fighter” days when you could play fighting games, wrestling games, or beat-em ups all within the same storyline continuity. Captain Commando being in the Street Fighter universe might seem like a stretch today, but back during the days when it was made, it would have been par for the course.

I guess one of the reasons I liked FF:SW so much despite its mediocrity was because it reminded me of those days, I suppose :frowning:

The URL is "http://fightingstreet.com/folders/variousinfofolder/variousinfopages/streetfighterplotguide.txt"
I always keep the same URL with each of your updates so it should always link to the newest version. I also keep in in my Link section only, to make sure nobody thinks I made the Plot Guide.

Shitstaters made me leave the official European Capcom Forum, nobody had any clue there and that’s how I got here.

Anyway, got my Akibado package today and there’s some fresh stuff to scan in it.
I got a newspaper of SFEX, some old SFII Gamest merch, an old SFIICE guide (boring), various issues of CAP!, the SFIII 3rd Strike Secret File (Q without mask?), very well drawn SFIIV Bandai cards (show the different look of the game and the TV characters), the SFZ3 Secret File and some other stuff not worth to mention.

Wow, it was that bad there? I went over there two days ago in my hunt for random Street Fighter facts and I noticed they stickied the guide there (the closest thing to direct official recognition of its existance it’s gotten so far since Living Room Games, I guess. Sweet?). Saw some people there saying they wished I visited that forum more often or something, but I have trouble keeping up with all my forum registrations as it is (that and real credit should be split among the guides’ many gracious benefactors, anyways). Still felt a little guilty about that, though, but it’s good that some (one?) of them found their way to here, at least

Oh yea, I added a link to your site at the bottom of the guide. I got an e-mail asking me where to find various official arts online so I figured I should include some links. Also included some others with disclaimers that I don’t necessarily endorse their views (example: Cammyfan. It’s about time people know where to get the 12 Dolls art, anyways, since getting e-mails about that seemed to be a recurring thing. I can’t/won’t host it myself because last time I tried to host things guide-related, it killed my bandwidth LOL)

Scanning some Bandai cards, if anybody wants to add his/her Bandai cards, put as many on your scanner as possible (make sure to leave some space between them, I get a max of 12 cards) and scan the whole page with 150 dpi and full color and send it to me. I’ll split it up then. Oh and don’t save it as a scrubby jpg file, if you use jpg choose best quality or just use TIFF (*.tif). Thanks.

Gomen Tiamat, I know I said a day or two, should’ve added “a day or two Greek time” then I’d be covered. Seriously they’ll be up pretty soon today, need to do one final touch up for Fei Long’s stage and that’ll be it.

Next week I’ll post up all the latest CFJ quotes and the FF2 bios requests, so no one be thinking I’ve forgotten these now. Laters.

Ready finally. With the exception of a small clause in Sagat’s stage about him going after Ryu AND Ken, everything should still be effective. The final battle of SF2 doesn’t take place on Shadoloo property, it happens outside of the Ramayana Temple of Bangkok’s Grand Palace.

The first section is from the Complete File, and the new challengers’ notes come from the Fanbook. Enjoy and thanks for reading.

Japan (Ryu) Suzaku Castle

Ryu trained in the Suzaku Castle dojo indebted formerly as his old home. As it appears that the world’s champions start to move, and from rumors heard, he sent a letter out to Ken.
With training also concluded while the wind’s blowing 10 meters above ground, if sometime or other comes a day of a trapped struggle with a formidable enemy for the sake of a fighting stage it would be at dusk for Ryu, a sudden dojo escape…
"Good, this is alright, a place for practice yet to believe that something’s missing."
It’s to become the beginning of a new struggle.

America (Ken) Battle Harbor

With a street fight unrolling here everyday, the popular name is Battle Harbor. Travelers from the world’s nations and, always brawlings among the sailors, naturally it has been converted to a street fight spot. Recently it’s come to be an attraction for raging drunk parties. This port is the scene for Ken’s training. The battles here, also having forged the body, has money enter hands. It’s two birds killed with one stone. Today newly become strong ones go to cross over the ocean.
"It’s fine for whitened up bodies to get warm. However that Ryu, really what is he up to about now…"
Taking up a red uniform in the sea breeze, Ken today assures himself of victory.

America (Guile) Certain Air Force Base

In order to search for the guy who killed his comrade-in-arms Nash, today he parted with his dear subordinates. Amongst bidding farewell to everyone, always cool Guile is seen with a smile from all his might.
"However, at this point all at hand is the name known as Vega…"
The scope of things seen, clearly the guy doesn’t have the only thing needed.
Such that the time, the challenger would be revealed before his eye.
Speaking of challengers, he learned of a story spoken about a man with a freely manipulating evil aura. “Getting everyone to listen by force, there cannot be resentment in you for the reason which I am overcome.”

Soviet Union (Zangief) Grand Factory

In a single bound Zangief became notorious in the underground pro wrestling world. This time, the world’s challengers to say take on the Soviet Union, a direct calling out by the president.
“Teach all of the world’s population of the Soviet might before them, Comrade Mr. Zangief.
But, to the extent of being reasonable, go out to the places of general trend
audiences…”
“Ah, Mr. President, if that is so then locally that grand factory would be good wouldn’t it? With everyone there recognizing my face, I believe my bouts will be pleasant.”
“Hmm, it should be alright there. Moreover what can be said on the essence of our nation’s working class. Keep persisting before them, Comrade Mr. Zangief.”

India (Dhalsim) Maharajah’s Palace

Indian model decision battles took place at the Maharajah’s palace. Now the ceremony praising the fighting king is just over.
“The king of greatness to become, who besides can it be?”
“Hmm, as for the challengers from foreign nations. This is agreeable, Dhalsim!, your power will be a supportive test. How much you separate will also be the remainder of what will be watched over.”
"I must win only with motive. Fate cannot be opposed. Such is fate…"
Dhalsim once confronted the whole of yoga training. He took himself as the same as whoever was a challenger. The greatest enemy therefore being his own self…

Brazil (Blanka) Amazon River Basin

With Blanka usually in the deep jungle dwellings, for the first time in 1 year he descended towards a town. The talk of the town was rumors. Anything, from street fighters revealed daily, to street fights spread out as such.
Now, if only he were previously like the thicket king Onsa (a panther) he’d also be the same as a cat. Even with the great Amazon jungle full of danger as well, his enemies quickly became no more.
"Uoh, uoh, uohruuuu!"
Desiring formidable opponents his blood within rose in an uproar. Desiring a newly become struggle he pledged his determination to journey out into the world.

Japan (E. Honda) Edo Hot Baths (Tokyo)

With real ability the one worldly edge, for the largehearted son of Japan E. Honda, every time after practice comes a bath.
From the time he was little Honda was brought up with a large bath, and of course he likes a large bath most.
It became a predicament for Honda between his favorite sumo and large bath, “Might as well, put’em together!” he says, what a bathhouse placed with a ring.
Curious it was, his strength walked along together with rocomi, day after day turned into suspicions. (especially from the manly sumo wrestlers)
Such that rumors were heard, a street fighter could be fighting around at the Edo Hot Baths.
“Hahhahha, a bath is exceptional after bouts. Let’s quickly apply the conclusion!”

China (Chun Li) Shopping District, Peace Road

Hearsay of investigations have fair activity. Even today in order to search for narcotics routes, there’s hearsay at the shopping district. At the bustling street’s conjested center, a peddler woman well recognized by face starts her voice on whatever hasn’t changed.
“Dunno, who knows right? But recently, with street fighters or something other appearing, ‘Are there no strong ones for me here?!’ and she appeared to leave. By all means that one was saying, said Vega or whatnot was a bad guy, in order to defeat that one she’ll even wander from place to place throughout the world. Perhaps that one with narcotics…, ah well, she went. She’s been considering since earlier to take action hasn’t she, that girl.”

America (Bison) Las Vegas

Las Vegas 11:00 pm, today this street becomes a ring for Bison. A street fight began by trivial chance, using a pair of fists as weapons he until here rose in the world. A man gotten to be grounded into the American dream. With powerful and actually quite profitable boxing, which he would exhaust on liquor, gambling, and mostly women.
But in Las Vegas as much as possible, he can be a hero.
Still today, he takes up on a newly become challenger in his ring.
“My fists greedily wait for stained blood!”

Spain (Balrog) Fighting Barroom

At a street’s back alley in Spain, a secret underground continuing down a descending stairway and a housed barroom. This barroom having become a membership system, with gambling of course, buying and selling of narcotics and so forth seem to take place. Here the best special attraction, is the present age pankration, the street fights. Among the barroom’s stars is Balrog, with a succession of victories, proceeding to a point of no rivals.
Tonight, for this secret club the excited crucible will transform. At any rate, the daily main event being the wandered-from-place-to-place street fighters to therefore turn up so to say.
“Hmhhmhhm…it’s only natural for beautiful me to win. The defeated are always predestined as the ugly ones…”

Thailand (Sagat) Ayuthaya Ruins

Here at the Thai ruins the past and the present flow into existing as one and the same.
Amidst intervals of rigorous training, alone in meditation Sagat mentally trains bitterly…
"You’re Sagat, eh. As is your beyond rumored true ability."
A newly become challenger appeared.
"You only saw my true ability seen through you, you are also likely a suitable rival to utterly defeat. However, that today is over. Not going easy on you, come at me!"
Until that day which before his eyes Ryu & Ken be utterly defeated, Sagat’s training will not be to proclaim as over…

Thailand (Vega) Ramayana Temple

The time to announce the battle by the gong’s tone resounding, by one fault then two faults to gather by the probable men. From enmity, aiming at the still fighting king’s name, he will contend for this battle. Here only one winning one bout after another, can fight this Vega. However for him to understand Vega’s true power is none other than the end of human life. A one-sided match, from the fight is to say a massacre. Moreover to let oneself approach hatred amplified is the overwhelmingly evil psycho power.
Where he goes for the body to use such a power, what is his purpose no one knows. Only, that pace of time which the weak are utterly defeated mouths rest in peace to an evil diety’s smile, partly as a legend for the world to know of the fighting king’s name.

Neither does it happen ingame, it’s just a joke of that Shadaloo base poster, the temple does not belong to shadaloo. Right?

Strange that nothing is said about her father in Chun-Li’s stage info. Was she looking for Vega before he killed her father?

Haha, so that’s how he got the two chicks in his ending/stage. They don’t have a name right? I think it’s also them in his SFII b/w art (bar).

Please post a link to the scans of the SFIII secret files, when you have scanned them!!!

Thanks in advance!

You can find the SF3 New Generation and 2nd Impact secret files at the Arcade Flyer Archive (www.arcadeflyers.com). I think vasili10 has the Third Strike secret file. Btw thanks again, vasili10.

Vega’s SF2 stage, rather than a joke of Shadoloo’s base, is an exaggeration of the Grand Palace’s Temple of the Emerald Buddha, with its statues and the suspended bell. Saying this again to aerialgroove and Ultima especially, the temple’s not Shadoloo’s as far as I know. Ramayana Temple’s a stage where supporting cast such as Eliza and Samantha as well as fighters could enter without much resistance due to it being a public area, and the stage story’s what proves the final battle is there ingame if that’s what you were wondering. Vega does fight the final warrior there, whoever it may be.

Notice how Chun Li’s stage info also doesn’t have the shopper mentioning Chun Li by name either. The shopping district is said to be a place of much word exchange, and this old lady’s getting an earful of it. You know whom she’s referring to when she says “that one” or “that girl”, but you’re given the peddler’s perspective as someone who’s frequently seen Chun Li in the area but wouldn’t be like one of Chun Li’s neighbors who would be more likely to know about her father and who he is.
I don’t believe Chun Li ever looked for Vega before her father disappeared, and it’s never been outright said that Vega himself actually killed him, as opposed to Nash in early accounts.

As for Bison’s girls, no names ever given so they may or may not be the same ones everywhere.

Sure thing Golden Dragon.

Ah ok, I didn’t get that Chun-Li thing when I read your last post, sorry.

I’ll upload a lot of scans including the 3rd Strike Secret File, within the next week. I already uploaded some cards and I’ll add more tomorrow plus lot’s of other updates. I got a great SFZ3 picture of Sakura and the rest of the gang that looks kind of SFEX2/3ish. Also funny stuff like riddles.

Thanks, Vasili! Okay, I’ve sent the version to gamefaqs finally. It can be gotten at the usual geocities address for now until it gets posted up at gamefaqs.

It’s interesting that T. Hawk’s stage mentions “a Latin American spread”, since people used to wonder if Noembelu being referred to as such was a mistake. Guess it wasn’t, then.

vasili10 - Given how ls and rs seem interchangable in Japan, I wonder if for Balrog’s stage if that’s supposed to be a barroom or a ballroom. From the Free Online Dictionary -

bar¡room (bärrm, -rm)
n.
A room or building in which alcoholic beverages are sold at a bar.

ball¡room (bôlrm, -rm)
n.
A large room for dancing.

Anyway just curious about that one. Great stuff as always.
