Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

There’s an SRK (shoryuken.com) poster called Bengus, that’s not the real Bengus, he didn’t draw jack for Capcom ever.

Bengus the artist changed his name to CRMK so he’d be calling himself that if he posted at SRK. He hasn’t used Bengus in about a decade.

well he does post japanese language here

Well, the attachments are gone so you can’t see his artwork. Trust me, he’s not the real Bengus.

EDIT: Here’s your proof. TAS who is known to be a big fan of the REAL Bengus ragging on the guy’s artwork. If only you could see his drawings but the attachments are gone.

On this page you see FAKE Bengus referring to REAL Bengus.

A side not since I’ve see Vasili10 post there - http://www.snk-capcom.com/ is dead. In June it is shutting down.

Shoot! I could’ve waited just two more days to keep checking for any other responses to that thread over at snk-capcom.com and see your post. Sorry about that sano! Thanks always for the kind words of never-ending support.

Talk about oooold sources, here’s an auction for a guide/pamphlet for the original Street Fighter, I’m thinking it’s a 1987 present from Gamest & Capcom, but the description’s not saying too much:

http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n15057839

Anybody already have it?

A liiittle expensive.

Blazes!! :wow: It jumped from 500 to 5000+ in less than 12 hours! When I posted the link last night it was one bidder!

Cripes!!! :wow: :wow: Now it’s at 13500 and still 4 days before the auction ends!!!

What’s so special about it?

It’s almost 20 years old and rare no doubt; AAC has some pics of it I noticed in the SF1 section. Other than that no clue why it’s selling for so much. :wonder:

Special thanks to Iggy once again. Looks like Devil Donovan’s an edited Demitri Sprite. Well, this answers the question what’s a new character doing in a collection, he’s not exactly new…

For the love of god, can we PLEASE dump all thought of “Rose = Anita”. It’s a shitty rumour on the level of Dan being related to Donovan.

Assuming that picture is not a fake, Devil Donovan looks like ass. Could they at least have edited out Demitri’s cape.

I don’t understand why people get so worked up about the possibility of Rose being Anita. It’s not like someone came up with it without reason, it’s slightly suggested in Donovans ending and hence something worth considering. I mean, it’s not like saying Ryo and Ryu are brothers.

I agree. If they were going to do an ‘evil’ Donovan, they could have made it something really different. If nothing else, at least different to Demitri.

Again, Devil Donovan is not a new character. He was supposed to be in Vampire Savior but Capcom dropped the idea when they felt he wouldn’t have made that much of an impact. So it’s not so much they are making a new character, they are putting an old one back. Saiki talks about Devil Donovan in his Darkstalkers Plot Guide.

We know about Devil Donovan originally supposed to be in VS. That’s not the issue. It’s how he looks that’s the issue: He looks like shit.

mohammeda1i:

Actually, someone DID come up with it without reason. At least without any sane one. Someone basically just looked at Anita in Donovan’s ending and said “Hey, her outfit kinda sorta looks like Rose’s!”, and that’s where that bullshit came from. It’s not hinted at in any way shape or form. As I said, it has as much merit as Dan being related to Donovan.

Shit, I’m saying. Jeezus, Capcom.

How they took the issue? They put an old character back in. If he looks like crap now he looked like crap back then. That’s all. Remember, this is not DS4, it’s a Collection.

The Dan/Donovan connection is admitidly stupid. Other than a strand of hair that sticks out, these characters have little to nothing in common.
The Anita/Rose connection is nothing like this. You tell me why the 1 picture we see of Anita grown up shows her looking exactly like Rose. As both games are by the same company it can only make you think that they were hinting towards them being the same. I mean, if they wanted to suggest anything other than them being the same person, they would have made them look different. To take this futher, it seems that Anita has some form of special powers that may be the same as Rose’s soul power. To deny the fact these 2 characters may be related would be naive. I’m not saying they definately are the same, but I wouldn’t outrule it. At least, not yet.

Woohoo!! Finished finally with one pre-mook! First up some more CFJ winning quotes:

Felicia to Leo:

“…I believed you can become a friend. But you can’t stand to be without such strong killings!”

Leo to Felicia:

“Always your back to the cliff…without that perception there’s no advancing…!”

Ryu to Sakura:

“That pain is definitely how you get strong. Pull yourself up out of hesitations!”

Sakura to Ryu:

“Heheh…it’s my victory this time! Naturally next time don’t lose!”

And now the last two early accounts from the SF2 pre-mook. Small translation note: in Vega’s account there are a few places where there were “O”'s in the text. My current assumption is that they function the same as “blanks” in English, used when certain things are left to the reader to guess. They’re indicated below as (maru), because maru is a Japanese reading for circle that I found while trying to properly interpret this symbol. Each time it seems to be for certain unidentified people, so I’ve approximated names with “maru” in them. If anyone can provide a definite meaning behind “O”'s in Japanese text, please share and I’ll make revisions accordingly. End of short note, enjoy:

Sagat from Gamest SF2

Once the emperor of fighting moves Sagat was, merely dealt a crushing defeat by the startling fighting stylist Ryu (believing himself not to be a true fighting stylist), afterwards a large scar on his chest. A miserable one he is.
That hidden chagrin in his chest, here and now it has been arranged that Sagat will once more make an appearance.
For him Ryu’s employed shoryuken was imitated reformation appended to completion as the “tiger uppercut.” However as the reformation was sent up with a high jump, the rest is the shoryuken almost unchanged. Defenseless at the time of descent, nothing else until here…it appears likely for a slaughter.
As for his sure killing techniques, this “tiger uppercut” and the other is the “tiger shot.” Previously since his might became weak he reached the point of continuously stretching out. With Sagat and his body dimensions, all attacks are of extremely damaging power. A surprisingly light body, he does hopping leaps. But, Vega and Balrog aren’t far away with that either.
As expected with him, can he likely make a comeback to the seat of the world’s best once more (no probably impossible)? You might say with him as converted (?), from the goal with Ryu and the revived refreshing battle is to quietly put the rascal in his place.
To bear in mind Sagat’s body’s limit, is it likely said to become a scene of meanness?

Vega from Gamest SF2

The all mysterious bell-has-tolled fighting king Vega.
The entire body entwined in an evil aura, all those who stand in his way drink the poundings of hell’s succession techniques. Peace and justice received with fists of hatred, the entire skin weeping of poundings likely delivered in turn by the earth.
The honor of the strongest already high for Vega but, from this point he looks down on all of the world’s people. Especially in Japan the imperial capital’s legendary Ka(maru)-san is said to be the spitting image of rebirth in order to suffer spurs of torment. In case (Maru)to-san is still okay, finally in the end, resembling the chin of (Maru)shi of the Ago hilly rice fields among other things, not a severe ego mind you. It’s already a loss of face for the king of fighting.
As for sure killing techniques is the psycho crusher attack. Vega can freely manipulate psycho power but for that move.
Besides the side of psycho power, sitting and the like, surely he freely manipulates it. Mr. Marik is the ghastly pale technician. Without fail Vega got him to display psycho power’s performance through television.
Having become considerably major that is to be said, Vega’s identity is still calling out mystery upon mystery. A Japanese female fan’s (who is past underage) private relationship settles as a non-ceasing rumor. You might say that certainly women are received by looks as it is.

These twelve accounts revealed in 1991 were just the tips of the iceberg for the SF universe. Next time watch for the extended stories released in the SF2 Dash pre-mook starting with M. Bison. Thanks as always for reading minna-san!

Ahem, Yeah and Zangief ain’t gay! Any other stupid old rumours?

Thank you so much!
