I don’t think it’s about liking fat men; rather it seems to be a sick fixation/perversion to fleshy (and possibly smooth & hairless which is why Zangief isn’t mentioned for instance) calves.
The kanji combo for “good luck” or “good fortune” I interpreted above indicated to me that it’s some kind of strange superstition Balrog believes in.
No character relations chart I’ve seen has made any tie between Honda and Balrog. I can’t confirm this yet because there are still Honda and Balrog accounts to read from SF2 Dash and SFZ3, but I daresay Capcom didn’t try to pursue this particular matter any further (I hope not anyway).
Sounds a bit suspect to me. Maybe Udon were letting on more than they expected witht the Vega vs Honda fight.

mohammeda1i- I still stand on what my post at the top of this page says. Don’t be dwelling too much on it, as I don’t think we’ll be hearing any developments on the matter, and if it gets into the plot guide, it’ll be with at least a few “ahem”'s.

Calves are the fleshy parts on the back of the legs between the knees and the ankles, directly on the other side of the shins. Those are the parts of Honda that Balrog’s interested in rubbing for luck or whatnot.
The book says “good luck” or “good fortune”, and also “sensing the love” previous to that, whatever that’s supposed to mean. If the rubbing’s for “other reasons,” I don’t know because the book doesn’t clarify beyond “good fortune”. In any case, the whole matter’s what the last word in the account describes it; disgusting, whether it’s just a superstition or something more.

Over at Madman’s cafe, Iggy suspected via a screenshot he saw that Vampire Donovan was going to be in the new Vampire Collection game. Anyway, via this link it turns out he was right! Vampire Donovan and older Anita were supposed to be in Vampire Savior but they got scrapped. Looks like at least Devil Donovan is back in and Capcom promises more surprises. Maybe Liligan from MVC1? MSH Anita? Maybe Rubyheart and Amingo since they were rumored to orignally be DS characters? Maybe older Anita who will turn out to be… ROSE! No wonder they talk about her ‘Master’ in SF Eternal Challenge, LOL! Anyway, check out Devil Donovan and all thanks goes to Iggy!

That’s a CVS Pro ad drawn by Bengus AKA CRMK. I had forgotten all about it. But that’s only a portion of it. The full drawing was bigger, in magazines it was a two page spread and people weren’t cut off. Capcom of Japan had it on their website way back when CVS Pro was new.
