It seems like Shoryuken has a reputation system now like snk-capcom. You can “rep” people now. You can also give people bad rep and if people get enough bad rep, it’s quite possible they could get banned. I’m not exactly how it works over here like how it works in snk-capcom though. It might be just for premium members or something.
Damn
Hmm so what’s the bad symbols and good symbols?
I checked the vBulletin FAQ and couldn’t find anything.
I thought if you were a pain in the ass all you got was a pm warning. :wasted:
:sad:
Shoot and I did read the rules of the website too. Is this something new?
:crybaby:
I know I’ve asked this question a millon times.
But what does Dan say when he taunts? { Standing, crouching, and the super move one}
Also Different SF games have different artist right? Any one have a specific favorite?
{ I’m talking about how characters look different in different SF games, example Ryu in SF Alpha and Ryu in SF 3 look really differnt}
I like the way Ryu looks in Capcom vs SNK.
We did the whole artist thing on this thread a while back. Keep reading.
Simple answer -
SF1 - Akiman
SF2 - Akiman
SFZ - Bengus
SF3 - Kinu Nishimura, Shoei
CVS - Kinu Nishimura and Shinkiro
But it is MUCH more complex than this with various artists working on various projects, keep reading the thread.
Oh and regarding the “reps” -
gabrielzero, read the plot guide and the whole thread, it’s much easier not to be annoying, I was a newbie, too, most of your questions will be answered this way.
i want to know some facts about ‘psycho drive’
what is it like …?? how it started ??
Not sure. I think a reasonable analogy for what the psycho drive is like (feels like anyway) is Dr. Sadler’s hideous apparatus that drained Birdie in the SFZ OVA. Only no physical contacts within the drive chamber but probably just as excruciating. As for how it started, possibly as a doomsday device of Vega’s. Unfortunately AAC doesn’t give a detailed history for it, and I don’t know of where else to look at this time.
Here’s some more excerpts from the NamcoXCapcom pic from gfdata:
characters below previous box, from the left to right:

As for her partner M.O.M.O., due to the hand creation of genius scientist Yoakeem Mizurahi, she’s a hundred-function pan-observational realien (synthetic human).
Kai & Gilgamesh from Tower of Dorugaa:
Once holding on as Ishita’s sorceress Kai, Kai was rescued alone from the tower of Dorugaa by her pair-up Gil. As for the two of them, a deep love binds them together.
Holy Taizou from Dig Dug:

More to come from the right page.
Here’s Chun Li’s CFJ winning quote to Ryu:
“Thus is this victory but for you, one more round will bring you back even stronger right?”
And Ryu’s CFJ winning quote to Chun Li:
“You are strong after all, for that reason defeat is okay!”
Didn’t find anything from Zangief’s CFJ quotes to support his homosexuality.
Thank you so much!
You’re welcome. For Ingrid, not much else revealed from her quotes. She’s inquisitive about few things in the world such as Rose’s power, she speaks with an air of authority yet still tries to be cute, and she recognizes when tremendous effort is dished out.
The extremely abbreviated extrapolated run-down of the Necro doujin. First story’s titled “The Slug’s Life.” Effie asks Necro what’s to eat today, Necro says sandwiches, Effie comments how tasty they are, he says he wants to try making a living in the food preparation business, she apologizes that it’s her fault that his options for the future are as limited as they are, but he says he wants to go for it so that someday they’ll be able to go to Disneyland.
The main story was even tougher to try deciphering, only bits and pieces I could make out. Illia’s friends periodically share hypodermic syringes, Illia says how many times has he said about using them, one guy says there’s a shortage of some kind going on, Illia compares one of the other guys, name might be Miyu, to looking like a pale ghost with using the needles. Illia later spots Effie fallen over face-first, and says to his friends that she needs rescuing. After he takes her in, Illia tries to get her to talk, and manages to get her to say her name, after which she asks him if he can fetch for her the syringe lying on the crate close to them. An agent of Gill’s shows up, says that Effie is an illegal resident here, and says to Illia she is needed back for Gill’s ideals, and Illia tells the agent to stuff it. The agent then talks some more about stuff Effie doesn’t seem to want to hear, and about the usefulness that Illia’s body can prove to be, and then leaves. Something (the agent’s words I’m guessing) convinces Illia to become Necro, Effie goes after him, then the story flashes to Necro and Effie together, Necro says they’ve got to keep moving soon so that Gill won’t easily track them down, Effie tells Necro about her ideal dream, Necro agrees that it’s a wonderful dream, and Effie goes to sleep in Necro’s arms.
Sorry it couldn’t be better, but it’s not the most neatly written doujin around. Hopefully we’ll learn some more as I get and read through more SF3 material.
Thanks again! The doujin’s story sounds really interesting. I’m glad I finally know what it’s about after a few years of having it. :party:
So still nothing new about Ingrid, huh? I guess Capcom’s being mysterious again. :wgrin:
Sure thing sano. If I helped out I’m glad. :tup: A few more NamcoXCapcom snippets, and then back to SF stuff, and Gamest World arrivals can be any day now. Hopefully those will definitely be something to :party: about. :bgrin:
Is there any book or gamest mook about the game to SFII The Animated Movie (that interactive movie thing). Is it even mentioned in one of the big SFIIAM books? The game graphics and manual artwork seem to be drawn the same people who made the movie.
Some weird toy thing:
http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/72799455
The game is not mentioned in any of the SFII AM books.
okay
No prob. I spent all week reading the plot guide, I’m almost at the end. Thanks for putting up with me. I hear where your coming from.
Thanks Tiamatroar !
I know you must hear this all the time. But I love the plotguide alot. :lovin: It’s like the holygrail for us non japanese reading street fighter fans. {perfect for us newbies too} God bless you! Without it , it would be alomost imposible to seperate the canon from the non-canon. :karate:
{Thanks to Siegfried, Saiki , and the others too!}
Yeah, I always wondered about that. I saw it in a magazine once then poof. :shake:
If you’ll remember a while back I stated that Play magazine stated that Capcom had asked them if SF4 should be 2D or 3D at the E3 show and they responded “2D of course.” Then later they said “Street Fighter 4 is not as far away as you think.” In the newest issue, writer Jake W. asked about a bunch of games he wanted to come out mainly Street Fighter 4. Play magazine responded -
“On the wish list front a new Street Fighter was being considered almost a year ago, so that may be in the cards,…”
Of course they could just be referring to quesiton Capcom had asked them at E3, but it’s worth mentioning I guess in this sea of non SF4 news.
The SF2AM game for Playstation & Saturn didn’t get much coverage; the most I’ve seen for it is a small square in AAC, no book or mook for it to my knowledge.
As for SF4, hey still waiting and hoping. :china:
Here’s the last of the NamcoXCapcom info from the gfdata pic. Everything else is pretty much repeating. Enjoy, and watch next time for back to SF.

MA (Maruchipuru Assault) How To Use Attacks!!
For enemy supporter units, there’s a jumbled-together multiple “MA attack.” MA attacks are considered a necessary going power, activating from employed flashy productions of character illustrations insertions. As for these MA attacks with their activating possibility conditions and unit numbers concerns, they branch off into three types. Above all, cooperation with supporting units sends out a type of MA attack, the unit not necessarily close to be able to activate a warning.
next paragraph down:
For a single supporting unit up against multiple enemy units, a simultaneous attack can be a MA attack. With swarming enemies closing into the vicinity, a brief activation can be done!
next paragraph down:
With 2-3 supporting units cooperating, against one enemy unit a concentrated attack comes out! Instead of unable multiple enemy attacks, from the rest of the MA attacks gather the might of the expensive moves.

With 2-3 supporting units, multiple enemy units can be dealt damage from MA attacks. Naturally, the might from simple-body multiple simultaneous type MA attacks being expensive, it aims at activeness.

sounds interesting… the game might turn out to be fun after all…
… Jesus. I keep forgetting not to let too much time transpire when I visit here, cause the backlog is moider. I just had to read through some 50 pages worth of posts to catch up. Christ. Just when I think there’s nothing more can possibly be said in this thread, something else comes up… Yeesh…
Well anyway, good job folks. I would like to pick up Street Fighter Eternal (mistakes notwithstanding), but I’m broke. Can’t afford nuttin’ right now. I can’t even buy the SF comic. Been out of work for too long… need a job…
Oh, and those Hong Kong comic scans were hilarious.
Thanks!
Over used sprites.
I thought this was so funny. I wanted to bring it up and talk about it.:
From:
Tiamatroars’s plot guide
Heh… And I thought it was bad how they used Sakura’s model over and over again. It’s just talk. you guys don’t have to answer it though.
{Please don’t tell me to read the thread though. I’m reading it as fast as I can :pleased: }
