is goukens daughter pic number 66#?

all of them are in black and white so…

Yeah, that’s her. I see on the home page Ataru likes Midnight Blissed Nool too.

Thanks for the picture.

Aaaaaack! What happened to all the attachments?

Yeah, the attachments are all gone, I noticed that too. I had the Ojou-san scan saved and sent it to gabrielzero since he asked about it.

More Namco x Capcom news!

Figured as much. Ah well, the counter reading 650+ for her was great while it lasted. In other news, with Gamest World I believe I struck out. Hardly any new material, lots of nice fanart however, still nothing new for Ojou-san. The side story I was eagerly waiting for may not even be official, at least back in 1996, because it gives the writer’s enthusiastic notes about the opportunity to write a story that would be featured in Gamest. I dunno, perhaps I’ll share it sometime in the future. For the story itself, it seems to talk about Sakura’s run-in meeting with Chun Li, with the story written from Sakura’s perspective; if nothing else it might help explain how the two know each other, which is an iffy part of the plot guide presently. I don’t quite get why they would know each other as a result that Ryu sees them both in his Z3 ending flashback. Yet the same paragraph can be found in the plot guide four times. Hmm.

With Gamest World being knocked off my prospective storyline sources list, Club Capcom and Cap! are the last places I can think of to be looking for info. And if those turn up zero for her, well back to hoping Saiki will provide someday. More on these later.

I’ve got Honda’s Gamest SF2 excerpt done, and I’ll hopefully get Zangief’s done soon and post them along with more old pics captions, Honda’s at aerialgroove’s request. Watch for them minna-san.

Back to translating…

Older Sakura ? NO WAy !!!

Hee HEE .

Can I request this pic for the furture ?

I know you already sent me the Goukens daughter pic, so I know I’m being greedy…sorry.

Maybe this a request I’m willing to wait a long time for ?

Thanks in advance. Sorry for being annoying.

If you follow the instructions on this link, you can watch the Namco x Capcom trailer. I couldn’t play it myself so I had to download VLC Media Player to view. There’s a way to see it on the PSP too, but it took me quite a while to learn how to download movies on the PSP so don’t ask me. Anyway, Strider vs. Grand Master really looks bad Ass and there’s some great Anime cut scene footage. Good stuff!

Here’s Honda’s and Zangief’s accounts from the SF2 pre-mook:

E. Honda from Gamest SF2

He’s a sumotori [sumo wrestler]. Suddenly like that, “In the world, sumo should be perceived as magnificent,” he journeys out there. That’s right, he’s a quite extensive lively personality. What’s the matter with a Japanese wrestling pavilion!? where doubts are alright? Wrestling pavilion intervals have “provincial tours” going on.
However, he kicks and jumps there, he doesn’t believe that this would be perceived together as sumo’s glory. On his face he applies facial paint as Japan appeal (!?) but likely as a plan, such that wouldn’t exist in a sumotori. His twin who ran for board chairman learned of this fact and likely regrets it. But the underwear is a red sumo loincloth. The underwear’s width makes spirited use of winning by tossing an opponent without close body contact.
As for sure killing moves, there are the air-cutting up “hyakuretsu harite” and the “super headbutt.” Especially for the super headbutt, the topknot has a fried chicken bone hidden within.
In the street fight he introduces himself as “Japanese sumo wrestler,” his principal occupation is a sumotori after all. Every morning lacking in figure, meals consist of chanko nabe [traditional sumo stew in a pot]. He strives for aiming at the yokozuna class. He pursues his own strength to the end. He’s already become a fighting stylist after all.

Zangief from Gamest SF2

Hailing from the Soviet Union, that name of the man with blazing red pants is Zangief.
He comes around stirring up perestoroika, from the time of infancy learning American wrestling preparing for the piledriver and taking in other giant moves, he established an original pro wrestling style.
Having presently opened a classroom for training children opponents, surely that monthly tuition brings in wealth for a living a life. It’s completely as with an animal beach.
Such would be pleasant for Zangief but, with heavy symptoms of abstinence from the fight, a spasmodic path to go the man stuck to it like a small spinning object and gambled on the screw pile driver it seems.
A fierce attack Zangief began, growing accustomed to spots numerous meters away the man was in an instant amidst engulfing places spinning round and round…a virtuous good feeling from completion of rotation. Everyone as such would have seen the spot not engulfed so that the familiarity would be “nice, vacuum!!” and raising encouragement for him.
The results of daily training, from the sure killing techniques the devices of a steel body, the all-kicked-about double lariat, the skull pickpocket crushing screw pile driver.
Exceedingly yet merely rotating is Zangief.

Turning over to Honda’s pic in Jap. Eternal p.113 (English Eternal p.115), here’s the caption for it given in the SF2 Gamest pre-mook:

“Hey! Put more hip into it as you’re washing!” The students and cleaning up together.

And this one’s from SF2 Complete File:

Honda commands, bath cleaning following splendid training. “Hey! Put more hip into it as you’re washing!”

Next time, M. Bison and Balrog. Thanks for reading minna-san.

Awesome, Honda has a twin and a chicken bone in his hair?
Thanks for the picture text!
Did you get the Sakura picture?

Yes.

Sure thing.

I don’t believe I got it yet.

Oh, and it was a close fight, but I’ve now secured all of Club Capcom, Cap!, and lots of other pamphlets and seasonal cards, straight from a devotee’s mailed envelope & binder set. If Capcom revealed anything more about Ojou-san and other points it would have to be here, for the eyes of its most diehard fans and supporters, among which they also included the cartoon dolls pic found in one of the later issues, so it has to have good stuff (watching & hoping & praying) .

The rest of important sources left to come include the SFZ3 Gamest mook, the two SF3 mooks, the 3S mook and the 3S guide, and the 3S Secret File; mostly SF3 stuff. After that, well, I guess I’ll have everything storyish unless someone who knows more speaks up (Saiki, Dash no Chris, TAS, Donutta, etc.).

Thanks for keeping the thread going minna-san. Long live the thread!

I sent it to you via email.
Check your mail or just click here:

Hmm, still don’t see the email, maybe it’s late. Anyway:

Whew, lots of old writing here, mostly illegible for me, but on the right side it says that the character’s father’s name is Ai-nu, a kanji play on the character for “love” or “affection” turning into the same name of probably Japan’s oldest race of people living mostly on the northern Japanese island Hokkaido, hence the kanji on her uniform. That’s awesome. Although the sketch says “cool but rejected character” on the upper right corner, the sketch might’ve been dug up later as inspiration for Makoto. Thanks again aerialgroove! :bgrin:

lol …reminds me of gaara …

whatever it is ,putting the word “ai” as a tattoo or on a shirt …

is lame .

You’d prefer perhaps “Oyaji!!!” ?

oyajji ??

how could a warrior or any damn fighter keep yelling …
“father” all the time .

I meant the character for “father” as a tatoo or on a gi, take Pocket Fighter’s joke Hibiki Gou. At least “ai” for the girl and Gaara are more meaningful for each of them.

How many text-unique endings are in Street Fighter Zero 3 Upper for the Gameboy Advance? I’ve found four: the generic “Vega defeated” one, Vega’s ending which corresponds to nearly everyone else’s “Bad Ending” if you lose the final battle, SnH Ryu’s ending, and SnH Ryu’s “Bad Ending” if he loses to Shin Gouki. Any others I missed? What does Shin Akuma say to E. Ryu in SFA3 Upper if E. Ryu loses?

Oyaji!!!"

{ very off topic but…} :xeye:

I would buy a shirt or hat that says Oyaji.

Especially if it had a picture of Dan crying and making a funny face on it.

They should make some kickass SF cloths. The Dragon Ball z ones are hot !

I never played GBA SFZ3 myself. Since Hcparker put up all the quotes of Maki, Eagle and Yun on this thread, figured what’s the point without all the options the Dreamcast version has.
