I dunno if this is old info, but Gouki’s “Lives of SF” bio mentions that the battle between Gouki & Goutetsu was the first time Gouki had seen his master use the Satsui no Hadou.
Vasili10 - Before we were talking about the SF2V Manga that ended just before Nakahira’s SF Zero Manga and the SFZ2 game came out and decided it was a sort of ‘prequel’ of Satsui No Hadou Ryu. Anyway, I couldn’t find ‘Satsui No Hadou’ anywhere in the script like you asked me to find before, but japanese is not my first language by any means so it was just me and the japanese dictionary. Maybe you’ll have better luck? Anyway, here’s the 12 pages from where he goes ‘dark’ until the end of the Manga. Enjoy!
Thanks sano! Now I actually see how Ryu is so :wow: in that manga. I don’t see SnH in the pages anywhere. The only similar point of interest I found was on pic #7, righthand side, inside towards the bottom, someone says something like, “It can’t be…Ryu’s got PP (assuming that’s Psycho Power but couldn’t make out the blurry furigana next to the letters) and Hadou…” couldn’t make out the rest. In case you’d like to have it for future reference, SnH looks like this in Japanese: ???
Yeah, even in the original manga the the furigana is incredibly small and hard to make out since this is how it first appeared in one of those manga compilation books with a bunch of other mangas. The SF2V manga compilations that just featured SF2V were a lot bigger, but I only have the first volume and not the last. Anyway, the first word next to the first P I translated to “saiko”, couldn’t make out the other half but I guess it’s supposed to mean “psycho” with the rest meaning “Power” for PP, but that’s my guestimate. So, perhaps Ryu had Psycho Power in that manga. But man, that sure was a violent Ryu…
In Jap. Eternal one says “eradicated” and the other says “driven away from their survival;” essentially you know they dead on both counts.
Correct. I get the feeling when Capcom USA “forgets” things, they cover up and deny; whereas Capcom Japan prefers teasing with vague words and limited info. They’re doing this to me, I tell you!

It’s old in that it’s been implied before, but once we get to the SFZ accounts after the pre-mooks, you’ll find that specifically the first battle between Gouki and Goutetsu will be when Gouki & Gouken are shown SnH for the first time.
Here’s the young Gouki from the SF3 New Generation Hong Kong Comic. Young Urien found him literally down in the dumps and took him home to live at his dojo with his brother Gill, their martial arts instructer dad and their pregnant mother. After Gouki killed their pregnant mother for who knows why, his hair became red!
Before I forget and in case this hasn’t been noted yet, English Eternal p. 111, Makoto is a magazine art rather than a novel illustration. Sorry folks, there weren’t any novels for SF3 to my knowledge; not popular enough it was for storyline purposes, obvious this is to us.
I thought it was just me having troubles attaching files here at SRK because every single attachment I tried to put up here said it “exceeded the SRK quota and is 892+ Megabytes!” :wow: which is why I’ve been using MSN. But here are some other options until that function returns, it’s been temporarily disabled.

I got the Ryu final comic with the DVD, AASFIII characters (the one that I didn’t like at first but I found a few interesing things and I got Capcom Design Works. Nothing special. Tomorrow I’ll get ECUS.

Not much time, yes I meant Ryu VS not Final, sorry confusion, finally got ECUS, hate dem bastards at the duane place, the DVD is weird but good, Ryu, Ken Chun-Li and Honda get beamed back in time by some flash coming out of a stone that looks like a turtle, Ken explains Ryu a lot of things that I don’t understand, I basically don’t get what it’s all about sorry, the 4 friends meet and shake hands, get beamed back, no fighting, no other characters. the voices don’t really fit I think but the music is good. the graphics are a bit different from SFIIAM but Honda looks nearly the same except for his kimono which looks like in the game not green like in the movie. most of the time you see a temple where men go in and out and some kind of parade, very Japanese the whole thing. difficult to explain, I might rip it sometime who knows. gotta go excuse my typing

-cover(s) of the HK SFZ2 comic series that you have; I have a small pic of all the ones described in Iwa’s Ryu & Chun Li site, but it’s really small. :sad: Would be nice since according to Iwa HK SFZ2 is the only HK comic that follows the Capcom storyline.
The HK SFZ2 was one of the comics I was gonna do anyway. It seems to keep coming up in conversation, once recently, and before when Aerialgroove asked me about Goutetsu’s colors in the book. I plan to do the cover, and the Gouki vs. Goutetsu story (maybe just exerts, maybe the whole thing.) I have one book that compiles the entire series. The other requests are fairly easy. Man, I wish SRK wasn’t going through this problem right now with the attachments… but for now I’ll finish up the free space I have on MSN, go to Imageshack, Deviant Art and any other place I can put stuff up for free and hopefully by then SRK’s function will be back. Right now I have some Ryu Final & SF3 stuff to scan for Sagatryu, tommorow I’ll work on the HK comic.
