In the SFEX continuity, SH-11 is Shadoloo’s first step toward the plan for world domination. The ultimate brainwashing substance, its effect is tested by being indiscriminately thrown to the world populace. The villagers of Dhalsim’s village express concern about it, and Balrog uses it to achieve “ultimate beauty” (an effort to completely lose his mind and thus ignore that he’s capable of aging I’m guessing), and he plans to market containers of it with the the “ultimate beauty” part omitted. Strange stuff, brought to you by AAC. I’m pretty sure doll would serve the same purpose, just different name.
Sounds really cool, thanks a lot!
Dou itashimashite sano!
Update at the LRG forums, word is that the Capcom World Tournament Book is being finalized and the Street Fighter Encyclopedia is nearing completion at the same time. Books 1 and 2 will hopefully be coming out soon with a not-too-large time gap in between them. Here’s to hoping for good stuff from them!
In the comic doll is just a drug that makes you aggressive and pain resistent. Chun-Li tells Ryu that he has to hit the nervous system of a doll addict to beat him because he feels no pain and won’t give up.

Cool. You know, a lot of stuff was taken form Tokuma comics. I was just wondering if anyone whether the 3rd Volume was ever translated. I have the first 2 in both TPB and actual comics. Any ideas?

That’s right, I remember reading about that in an older summary for Kanzaki’s comic series issue by issue. Thanks for reminding me, aerialgroove.
So which not-so-rare books you getting?
I don’t believe the third volume was ever released in English; it did in Chinese if no other language.
Didn’t Doll also brainwash the user? In the old comics I seem to remember a guy being injected with it and pointing a gun at Bison. Bison then stared at the guy, the drug kicked in and he shot himself. (As far as I can remember)
Hello,
I have a small question:
couple of years ago I got a street fighter comic showing the following:
1- Akuma fighting his master and killing him
2- Bison meeting Rose but there was no fight I think
3- Bison fighting Akuma (great fight)
I just want to know which issue was that because I lost it and I want to buy it again.
Yes, doll also brainwashes, at least in the manga, and I’m sure as canon also.
Remember which language it was published? From the events you’re describing it sounds almost like a Hong Kong comic.
This is the Street Fighter Zero II Hong Kong comic. It is the only book where all three events take place. It’s compiled into one volume. It’s ISBN Number is 962-635-401-1 if you wish to track it down. And it’s actually one of the better Hong Kong SF Comics.
Thanks Sano…
Do you know an online store that sells this comic ??
Nope, I got it from China town years ago. Try Ebay or Amazon.com. Sometimes they have stuff like this… sometimes.
Here are the effects of doll. This is all from memory so I may miss something:
- In small does acts like any other drug (get high). Chun-li says this to Ryu in Issue 2 after beating some sailor dude.
- In larger doses it makes the user do things even if it is agaist their own will (Chun-li Issue 2 again). However, in the last few issues Bison explains that only his Psycho Power can control someone on doll.
I think I remember there being something about gaining more strenth if you take a large dose, but I might be imagining it (I read the comics in 94). I’ll have a look through them again.

This all coincides with the manga summary I’ve read. Vega’s doll explanation comes back to Ken via flashback towards the end of the series (last few issues).
I asked around over at MMCAFE what the Hell Bengus AKA CRMK has been doing for the last five years. Vava of that Board told me he might of worked on Resident Evil Outbreak. The Artwork looks like his drawing style, but Capcom Artists are really good at imitating each other. So what the Hell was he doing? Hellish drawings perhaps… Can anyone confirm or deny?

That’s right, I just checked the comic and Vega (or “Lord Bison” sigh) says that Doll will regulate a new world order after the DEA cop shot himself instead of Vega because Doll forced him to. The whole test thing also reminded me of SFIIV’s brainwashing experiment where the guy runs into the wall and is dead.
vasili10 I’ll let you know about the books once I got them.
It was just a drug addict (see my posted pics), the sailor is from the first fight of Chun-Li.
Sorry, I thought you would know beforehand what’s coming. My bad.
Oh hahahah. Someone posted a question about SFA3 Cody on Gaming-Age and I answered with the FAQ section on him and a link to the rest. As usual, someone snapped at the preposterous idea of Poison being a man. Oh well, I’m kind of getting a hang of this and I still have the almighty AAC scan, so I’ll persuade them yet.
After skimming through the topic, I’m curious as of 2005 how large is the contingent of fans who believe that the Zero series is a retelling of SF2.
