Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

I wouldn’t have thought so. I just know that the games in the Zero series do pay quite a few tributes to the movie, the look not much except for maybe Vega’s huge chin:bgrin:, also young Ryu (less muscular) & Ken (long hair) training together.

You go man! :nunchuck:  Show it no mercy!

According to Eternal Challenge Urien does kill Gill in his ending. Exerpt from his Third Strike ending from the book. Zamuel’s been saying Urien kills Gill in this ending for a while now…

“As Gill slept Urien set the complex to self-destruct. With his brother dead, Urien could now take control.”

So, does it happen? Is this just a what if ending? I guess we would need another game to answer that…

Oh, just to fix this, the book says Elena “entered a martial arts tournament with her father as her sponser.” So he sponsored her, not the Tourney. Ooops…

As for Rose, are they going back to her having a master before Vega, like the old SF Zero 1 days? “Her master had told her some day she would have to fight evil and her instincts seemed to confirm that the time had finally come. Heading forth in search of her destiny and determined to destroy the rising energies, Rose began her search for M.Bison(or Vega as I call him).” I can just see hordes of people now screaming she’s Anita and Donovan is her master…

[SCREAM] It’s true I tell you [/SCREAM]

Well, the theory should be given a chance atleast (esp. given this new information). :xeye:

Mohammed Ali

Below is info I’ve gathered from the Eternal bios that either should be added onto the plot guide or used to correct a Plot Guide error. There will be more to come later. Btw sano, u said one of the ppl who helped translate Eternal said they didn’t change anything for the translation, correct?

Ken
Eternal says Ken goaded Ryu to enter the first Street Fighter tournament.

Honda
Yelling through a microphone hooked up to huge speakers that annoys his neighbors, he brags about his grueling training schedule and fighting prowess. I guess thats specifically how he disturbed his neighborhood.

Blanka
According to Eternal, he was flying to Brazil to see his parents. The Plot Guide says he was visiting his uncle. He was 9 when his plane crashed in the Amazon jungle.

Zangief
Eternal says that Zangief began his wrestling career in the underground wrestling circuit. It never mentions him competing in professional wrestling. It also says that he was banned, as opposed to leaving willingly.
Zangief began fighting for the homeland when erai hitto visited him in the mountains and asked Zangief to.

Balrog (boxer)
He began breaking the rules in the ring cuz he didnt have the pure boxing skill to become champion.
the malicious boxer intends to betray Bison when he sees an opening and supplant himself as the new leader of Shadaloo.

Vega (mask)
Vega has trained in Ninjitsu since childhood.
Vega joined Shadaloo after being impressed by Bisons charisma and competence.

M. Bison (cape)
Bison murdered his master cuz he felt that his training regiment was too harsh.

Dee Jay
He has several fighting championship titles and his albums have sold in the millions.

Fei Long
His Hiten-ryu Kung Fu style possesses over 3,000 practitioners and has many schools around the globe training new students.

Cammy
After retrieving orders to infiltrate a military Base in England, she lost her memories and was left without purpose.

T. Hawk
Thunderhawk was one of the few survivors when soldiers of Shadaloo decimated the Thunderfoot Native American tribe three decades ago.
I guess Shadaloo just annihilated most of the Thunderfoot tribe, rather than just booting them off their own land. Perhaps Capcom USA changed it cuz the original/true story was too violent. Either that, or Shadaloo forced the survivors to leave. If that’s the case, then it’s partially true. Either way, Capcom USA failed to mention the killing part.

Charlie
Eternal refers to him as Charles Nash. I guess thats his official North American name?

Guy
Guy labels some of his special attacks with the preface Bushin, even though his master felt it might make the young fighter too egotistical and assume that hed mastered the deepest secrets of the Bushin martial arts.

Birdie
He was thrown out of the professional wrestling league/association for his violent temper and repeatedly breaking the rules. The Plot Guide says (or implies, atleast) he willingly left pro wrestling out of boredom.

Gen
He was over 70 years old during the Alpha series.
Assassins hired by the many factions hes angered over the years try to end his life almost daily.

Cody
It says that hed break out of prison from time to time using the incredible strength of his punches.
The bandages he wraps around his hands cover scars he gained by rampaging through the solid brick walls of his cell so he could head back to Metro City and cause trouble.

R. Mika
She set out to be a professional wrestler after graduating from high school.

Karin Kanzuki
Shes an only child.

Juni
Her fighting skills have been augmented from analyzing combat data she gathered from Akuma.

Juli
Julis life expectancy was significantly shortened due to the body enhancements she received from Shadaloo.
Its said that shes not as powerful or slavishly loyal as Juni.

Alex
Both of his parents are deceased.
Gill challenged both Tom and Alex to a fight. Alex witnessed the battle between Tom and Gill.

Dudley
Dudleys father lost his fortunes while Dudley was in college.

Yun & Yang
Eternal confirms that their godfathers are the 8 crime lords who run the Hong Kong underground.
The correct name of the Chinese restaurant Hoimei and Shaomei work at is Shoryuhen (the Rising Dragon Palace).
Eternal says Gen raised them and that hes their grandfather.
They were raised together in Shanghai by their grandfather Gen, living in the elderly martial artists herbalist shop.
Gen is skilled in prescribing/making Chinese medicine, right?

Careful with this one. No previous source I’ve seen names their grandfather, and neither do the CFJ bios while Alex’s relatives (Tom & Patricia) are named. Unfortunately if this is a translation mistake, it’s a darn easy one to make; the kanji for Gen’s name is also used for “origin” or “beginning.” Just bringing this out into the open for everyone to be aware of it.

Juni’s more slavishly loyal than Juli? But… but Juni’s so cute! Hmm, might explain why her win quotes are even more robotic though with all that scanning junk.

Heh… that reminds me of the Swedish translation of issue #3 of the old Transformers comic. Gears says “Brawn without brains makes a lousy fighter”… and the translator assumed he meant the character Brawn, and didn’t translate that name.

The comic just says Gen is raising and teaching them; no blood relationship is given.

Yeah, like I said I forgot, and my SF Issues are all over the place until that magical time twice a year when I organize my comics. Thanks!

  No problem. :bgrin:

Hope I get a copy of Eternal any day now; and everyone watch for HnN #25 soon, hopefully by tonight.

If Yun and Yang are related to gang lords then why does Yun give a crap about Fei Long being a drug dealer in Zero Upper? He’s probably one himself!

Yun doesn’t want any potential competition bargin’ in on his turf, alright?

Below is more noteworthy info taken from the bios of SF Eternal. I have 4 more bios to go! Afterwards, I’m moving to the endings!! HA! Just when u thought I couldn’t get any more anal!

Ibuki
Even though shes a deadly combatant, shes still a normal girl who dreams of being a pop singer some day.

Necro
Necro was tricked into joining Gills organization with the promise of a wonderful future.
He has a built-in power generator.
Inside his brain is a cybernetic computer that helps give him superhuman fighting abilities.

Sean
He was passionate about sports and played basketball in university.
This is already in the plot guide, but I first learned about it from Street Fighter World. Im relieved to see that it has been backed up by an official source.
His goal is to develop his own original signature moves some day.

Elena
Shes an only child. This is strange, considering there’s a family photo in her Third Strike ending.

Hugo
He ran away to America when he was 20.
Hugos intended partner for the CWA tag tournament turned on him and became his rival.

Urien
There are supposedly 66 secret techniques known to the organization and Urien has mastered a particularly potent one called the Aegis Reflector.
His power is equal to that of Gill.

Q
Hes been seen in crime scene photographs from mysterious murders all over the world.
Its said that he seemingly defies the laws of time and space because hes been spotted at crime scenes all around the world.
He uses an unknown fighting style and his moves are named by onlookers based on their visual appearance.

Makoto
Her fighting style is Rindoukan Karate.
With her brother an untrained office worker and the only other master martial artist in the family her elderly grandfather, Makoto had to step up to her newfound responsibilities.
A few pages back I said that Makotos grandfather wasnt capable of bringing business back to their dojo because Makoto surpassed him in skill. I now realize I was mistaken and the real reason is because her grandfather is too old.

I see. So if you were to replace the word ‘origin’ instead of Gen, how would the sentance read? Also, does anyone have the quote from Eternal Jap? Would be nice to get this one cleared up.

Mohammed Ali

This reminds me of a story concept I’ve thought of. It takes place after SF2 (maybe SF3). Juni remembers how she’s self-aware even when under M.Bison’s brainwashing. She didn’t resist though because of her loyalty and willingly submitted to it, possibly making her even more under his control than the other dolls. When she recovers after SFA3, she wanders around trying to track Cammy who she thought have killed M.Bison (doesn’t know about SF2 tournament). Juni finds her and easily takes her down, but stops just short of killing her since even if Cammy dies, it won’t bring her Lord Bison back… sniff

I’ll have to write down the story one of these days. I’ll have to take into consideration how Juni’s more powerful from Akuma’s data and if she finds out that he’s the one that killed him.

STREET FIGHTER ALPHA 2 ANIME COMING SOON!!!

http://www.animatedbliss.com/news.asp?tid=2456

ANIME NETWORK CONFIRMS IT!!!

http://animenewsnetwork.com

About freaking time!

EDIT: 4,000 Posts and still going strong!

Shouldn’t it be pray that it doesn’t suck? SFA anime wasn’t bad, but it’s not that good either. At least it was accurate in character potrayal.

Since I’m a cheap bastard, I’ll have to ask you how it is until I can rent/borrow it.

Isn’t that the role I usually fill around here?

It’s supposed to come out in June, so by then I’ll be checking the Fan Sub circles. We should get more info as the time draws closer.

Some of the things I liked in the first SF Zero Anime, some I didn’t. But being the fanatic that I am and seeing it about 50 times does tend to soften one’s opinion. The SF2 Animated Movie I’ve seen so many times I can’t even count. If SF2V wasn’t a series I’d watch that a lot more since watching series’ take time, but I’ve probably seen each episode ten times a piece.

Overall I think all the SF Animes have been good. Much better than Fighting Game Animes that are straight up crap like the Tekken Anime, the Art of Fighting Anime and the first Samurai Spirits/Showdown Anime. Of course I have no personal bias… (sano whisltes in the background…)

Other Fighting Game Animes I dug were Darkstalkers, The Fatal Fury Animes, the second Samurai Spirits OVA and the Virtua Fighter Anime. Some that were good but not great were Battle Arena Toshinden, Gowkaiser, Power Stone and Psychic Force, but I never saw how Psychic Force ended. Hmmm, I wonder whatever happened to the Psychic Force Video Game…

And when will someone animate King of Fighters and Guilty Gear!

I guess that’s a possibility, but do u think the translators would’ve screwed up that bad? You own a Japanese copy of Eternal, right? I’ll tell you what. Read through Y&Y’s bios and tell me whether or not they mention Gen being their grandfather.

SFA2 anime’s coming out in June? Better late than never, I guess.

Edit: I’m all done looking through the Eternal bios. If a certain character isn’t mentioned, it’s cuz their bio didn’t mention anything that isn’t already in the Plot Guide.

Plot Guide and Aerialgroove’s Website update! Udoneko said Shoei said Gill is based on Kikaider!

EDIT: Wow, I didn’t notice I hit 4,000th post today. (I went back an edited my post after this.) And with new SF Anime news at that. Merry 4,000th post everybody!
