Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

In what book is it stated that Sagat was attempting to help Ryu up before hit him w/ the SRK?

vasili10
Yo thanks again, vasili10. I’d like to request a few more questions for u to answer from the HnN book but I’ll wait, since it seems like you’re busy translating other stuff.

If the stuff 'bout the SF rights being sold to Capcom USA is true, then I can deal w/ it. Capcom Japan doesn’t care to do anything new w/ the franchise and atleast there’s a small chance of a new SF game if Capcom USA takes the helm. I really don’t care which division of capcom makes SF4, just fucking make it already and stop dicking around with played out recycled/rehash games. That’s my 2 cents. I won’t say anymore on that subject.

I agree with this much at least.

Aerialgroove - Forget it. My PC retarted self figured out how to do this - Sabakis!

No prob, Golden Dragon. Sorry the stuff so far couldn’t be more informative. Did you have other requests from HnN besides 16, 17, 18, 31, 36? I was going to do those once I finished with the CFJ page.

Akiman does say, “I see, the Street Fighter rights have been sold to Capcom USA…”. Thanks to HaoGui for pointing out the exact lines.

Vasili10 - Thanks a lot!

This news is still quite bizarre. I can see Capcom USA now, “HA! You canon followers! We told you Ryu and Ken use Shotokan and now we are retconning everything to say they’ve always used Shotokan! The All About Books are TEH EVIL!!!”

Nah, I’m gonna stay positve about Capcom USA getting the rights for now.

:wgrin: Me too. After all, the Living Room Games books might surprise us all with cool info. And if SF4 comes out, it’ll build on what we already know, and it’ll be one more game for us to play and analyze to death as we please.

As Iggy pointed out, Capcom USA’s logo been printed along with CFJ so Akiman’s news seems to be very true.

I know this isn’t the best place to ask but is anyone playing Xbox Live? I have CvS2 and I will pick up Anniversary Collection sometime soon. I’d ask in the regular Live section but I’d only be beaten to death by the pros there. So if any of you laid-back story fans/semi pros want to play, I’m there.

Gamertag: SiegfriedFM

I haven’t really adapted to the Xbox controller yet, but I’m playing Vega/Zangief right now.

Oh, and a tiny little update to Fighter Mania if you missed it: the search page now checks for current birthdays. Much fun to be had.

Nah, don’t play Xbox Live right now. Maybe in the future? Who knows.

Yeah, I hate the Xbox controllers for fighters. It’s the worst. But I use Arcade Sticks for all fighters anyway. I use MAS Sticks for Xbox and PS2.

Hmm… well, I guess the hints that Capcom USA was planning something with Street Fighter were there when they held that little fighting game fan questionairre whatever meeting in California (?) a while ago. It’s not like Capcom of Japan would have made another SF game anyways.

glances at huge list of plotguide updates to be done Yea, I’ve still been monitoring the thread and (hopefully) catching everything of note to include in the next update. …oi. How is this thing still growing? Ah well, I’ll get to it… eventually-ish. Real life has been very hectic lately-_-

I got the 15th anniversary book, there are pictures of some guys, who are they? Programmers? Artists?

Sorry Golden Dragon but I hardly get home lately and so I’m not online a lot either.

Mad props go out to Stick-click! I sent him a pic of the Sabakis with higher resolution then the one set up here and he through it up right away! Check the November 11 update!

And make sure you check the post I made before this one over at the SF Comics forum to see the CFJ ending of Vega vs. Gill! DREAM MATCH! :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

Shoot. I forgot I requested those a while back. Sorry. Nevermind, then. I do have other requests, but I’ll wait for u to do those first. Thanx again!

I also remember Sano mentioning that a Capcom USA employee had asked some dude from a gaming mag if the next SF (if it is ever made) should be 2D or 3D during E3. Do I have that right, sano?

Shit, I’m saying. That’s why I don’t understand why some fans are upset over this news.

Yeah, that’s right. I don’t know if the Capcom Employee was from Japan or USA since the Article never said, but it went down at E3 and giving the recent news, I’m inclined to believe it was a Capcom USA Employee.

Yeah, I agree with you guys, sure the Cap USA news is strange once you first hear it but when you think about it, it’s not so bad as waiting for SF’s 20th Anniversary just to hear Capcom of Japan say, “Yes, we were planning on doing SF4 for their 20 Anniversary, but we decided it would be an even bigger event if we waited for their 25th Anniversary. In the meantime play SF3 Third Strike the Anniversary Edition Hyper, SUCKAZ!”

Next time, more HnN answers. Stay tuned…

Thnx. So Chun-Li’s a cop again. At least in Guile’s Bio it didn’t mention him avenging Nash since he’s in a background.

In this month’s issue of Play Magazine, someone asked about SF4 in the letters section, but thought he would have to wait a long time before the game came out seeing how long they took to make SF3 after SF2. The answer he got was -

“SF 4 may not be as far away as you think…”

:wow:

:wow: indeed. Wonder what that means. tries desparately not to get excited

Thanks a lot for translating the CFJ “bios”, vasili10. Btw, redcyclone.com has been updated. Sagat has been added to the character bio/profiles section. I’ma skim through it later and see if there’s anything we don’t already know. Below is the link, if yer curious:

You’re welcome Golden Dragon. Thanks for the news with Red Cyclone, hope you find good stuff.

I don’t believe I have any 15th Anniversary book, but just curious, which one are you referring to?
