Oh yeah, something else I wanted to mention. Remember a while back there when CFAS was announced, and under each of the three new characters of D.D., Rook and Ingrid there were mentioned things like “Goddess of Thunder”, “Fallen Angel”, etc? I don’t know if it was ever said what that stuff meant, but I looked over my saves pics of those characters, and it says quite plainly “Emblem”. In other words, D.D.'s emblem is “The Goddess of Thunder”, and it’s the symbol on the back of his jacket. Rook’s emblem is “Fallen Angel”, and it’s also on the back of his shirt. INgrid’s emblem is "“Eternal Goddess”, and it’s apparently represented by those bit circle thingies in her hair.
As to what they all mean, I don’t know. BUt I remember there was some idle speculation about how D.D. might in fact be a woman because of the “Goddess of Thunder” thing appearing under his name. I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere else, so I just thought I’d mention it and clear that up.
The conclusion some people drew regarding D.D. was him being a Homosexual, kind of like Elton John calling himself a diva…

We don’t know anything about Ingrid other than she maybe an eternal Goddess. The blurb Vasili10 translated before went on to say something like “She has a unique fighting style, no one knows where she comes from and what her motivations are.” Pyron is in her ending in CFJ after she beats him since he’s the Boss, so no clues there. Maybe next week when the game comes out in the US I’ll figure it out, or not…
Ok I guess it’s more like GI Joe but I never watched that. I don’t even think it ever got released in Germany. But since the lame action figures were made by GI Joe they probably thought let’s make the TV show GI Joeish. The TV show fits pretty well to the toys with their weird teams and weapons and stuff (The Guile + Chun Li Mobile or Sonic Boom Tank etc.)

Well, since there’s not much of story after Street Fighter 2, I don’t think they could mess up the storylines too much. As long as it has a solid game engine, I would probably be happy with it. I just hope that they don’t try to do something stupid like bring Charlie back from the dead as a zombie or go 3d.
I read the new stuff in the Plot Guide. Something that I never noticed before didn’t seem right, so I look over the endings in Video Game Museum. In Guile’s SFA3 ending, M.Bison says:
“Pets are worthless if they begin to have their own will… Ha ha!”
Since I was also looking at dolls’ endings, I found that this struck me odd. Why would Bison say something like that in Guile’s ending? It made me think that the Cammy/Dolls arc happens somewhat at the same time as the Guile/Charlie/Chun-li arc.

I made a comment about this earlier but i didn’t really have the time to get into it. I don’t know if Ryu hitting Sagat with a cheap shot is canon. I know Ryu hit him with a Shoryken fueled by the power of the Killing Intent. They show that in E. Ryu’s ending in Alpha 3, but the only place that they say Sagat is hit with a cheap shot is in a manga. The only reason I bring this up is becasue i want to do a SF fan fic and i want to make sure it is as close to canon as possible. So if anyone has any info on why this is canon plaease post. Holla!!!

That’s true, the arcs do happen at somewhat the same general time frame. I don’t know if that quote though is the same in the Japanese ending for Guile. If Saiki doesn’t come out with the huge summary he set out to do anytime soon, I’ll try translating what the quote says when I get a chance. Thanks for bringing it up, Psycho Power J. :tup:
Why the cheap shot is canon? I can’t confirm this yet with Sagat’s SFZ-SFZ3 accounts that I’ll translate in the future, but I can say this. In fighting games a cheap shot is a cruel blow with no way to stop it until it’s proceeded to the finish. Sagat’s way stronger than Ryu during SF1; if he saw the metsu shoryuken coming he no doubt would’ve put up a guard, and his arms would’ve taken the worst of it. But his arms were left alone when he took Ryu’s blow, he completely let his guard down, certain that the fight was over. Sagat knows something happened to Ryu that day, but Ryu doesn’t know what to make of the rumors he hears about this “strange power” until he meets up with Gouki.
The manga doesn’t say Sagat was defeated by a cheap shot; it illustrates the blow about equally as much as SnH Ryu’s Z3 ending.

As for what Akiman said, definitly the most bizarre-est thing I’ve heard, kind of in shock. Don’t even know if Capcom USA will just moniter SF Udon stuff and merchandise more or if it has to do with games. Still, Maximo 1 and 2 aren’t bad games, so maybe they could pull SF off? With Funamizu and Okamoto gone, even if Capcom of Japan made SF4 it still wouldn’t be the same I think. But Capcom USA making SF4 prolly guarantees 3D. Well, hope it’s like Rival Schools without tag play, that wouldn’t bother me.
And this is all heresay for now until we find out what the heck this means… I’ll await Vasili10’s translation and pipe down.
