Hmm, maybe Chun-Li really is mad at Cammy because she’s not the only female SF anymore (at the time of SSFII).
It was four All About books let me think, the first one, number 16, 18 and one that I don’t remember right now. Then a few Gamest Mooks of which some might be too expensive from what I saw at Yahoo auctions (SFIII 3rd Strike). If I say that I only have a picture of the book then how can I name it? The chances of him finding it are near zero, don’t bother. Also all Secret Files from 23 upwards. What I hoping for the most is the FF and MB books. When I see them up at yahoo auctions and they all don’t ship to Europe I could get nuts.
LOL. I love how I M.Bison’s AWESOME ATTACK MOVES includ his “Armored Shoulder Pads” and “Commander’s Cap”. I’d also love to know what exactly is his “Torpedo Counter”. =\
Hmm, which cards are you reading from? Torpedo Counter is most likely the Psycho Crusher, and another old Capcom USA name for the move was the Flaming Torpedo.
Never mind, answered my own question. As for the Torpedo Counter and all the other strange ones, “who knows what weirdness lies in the hearts of…the weirdo knows!”
Nothing to jump up and down and get excited about, but I find this tidbit interesting.
In the September 2004 Play Magazine in the US, Leo asked the ol’ question regarding when is SF4 coming out, and then recommended that Sheng Long should be a boss along with some relatives. ??? Ah, don’t you just love people! Well, here’s the response from Play Magazine. I’m not exactly sure who at Play Magazine answers the letters.
“As for SF, we couldn’t agree more (Regarding a sequel, that is.), Leo. In fact, a Capcom representative pulled me aside at E3 and asked if I thought a brand-new Street Fighter should be 2D or 3D… so you never know. I said 2D of course.”
Well, that’s probably the first time in like 3 whole years I’ve heard of anyone over at Capcom even mentioning an SF Sequel in that fashion. I’m still not breaking out the Champaigne or anything.
Also in the same Magazine, Ken Siu-Chong, writer of the US SF Comic says he will be bringing out Vega’s (Cape) origin. I’m kind of dead set against the comic bringing out Origins of characters Capcom of Japan hasn’t fully done, and when the Hong Kong Comics provided origins of Gouki and Vega, they were really bad and full of nonsense such as Vega killing Chun-Li’s Mom too and Gouki killing Gill and Urien’s Parents! On the flip side, I really like what the comic has done so far and they should not be compared to the horrible Hong Kong Comics AND Capcom of Japan does oversee them so I’m confident they’ll do a good job with Vega’s origin. It still brings up curiosities/questions wondering how exactly they will do Vega’s Origin.
Will they have him training alongside Urien and Gill, confirming (well, confirming a little bit since the Comic ain’t Canon) that the two mystery students Vega trained with were Gill and Urien?
What will Vega’s master look like? In Hong Kong SF Comics, he always has Blonde Hair and is wearing a green variant of Vega’s costume. In one of the first Hong Kong SF Comics, he had black hair though.
How are they going to deal with the Vega/Rose Issue? I still believe that Rose just seperated from Vega’s body one day as what has happened in lots of Mangas, Animes and live Action Movies like I stated before, but I’m not sure if US Rose Fans can take it. Will they go the other route and have his good energy zap a pregnant lady?
Anyway, I’m kind of reluctant to ask these questions in the SF Comics forum since I just want to sit back and see how they handle Vega’s Origin and enjoy the ride.
Ken Siu-Chong also said he’s dying to do a Metro City Story, so time will tell. HOORAY!
I like Rey’s style, but I think his design for Mel is a little too busy, if ya know what I mean.
The Plot guide states that Balrog participated in the SF2 tournament for money and as an obligation to M. Bison/Shadaloo. I kinda’ disagree, 'cuz he already makes money from brawling on the streets of Las Vegas and running errands for M. Bison. I think the money issue was only one of the reasons he participated in the tournament. I think he intended to defeat M. Bison and take over Shadaloo from the start. He actually cared about getting the title of “Number 1” and World’s Strongest Fighter. He new that the only way he could do that was by defeating M. Bison and taking over Shadaloo. The wealth, status, and power would come along w/ it.
Hm, not much going on here. Did you know that they also scratched the outro song of SFIIV for the American version? They just reused their intro instrumental.
Ok. Yes it’s pretty quiet here, seems a lot of people like the Hyper SF2 Anniversary Guide that recently came out. Hope I’ll bring out the translated TOC soon.
Interesting note: in the All About Street Fighter Zero 3 book to which I am engaged to be married, in the Capcom staff art section there’s a little Shadaloo logo, and written across it in English is “Shadowlaw Express.” It’s a joke, I think, like some sort of evil UPS I guess, but maybe Shadaloo is the typo and not the other way around. It is ShaDO and not da, and maybe someone just put the katakana for loo (ru) instead of law (ra).
Chun Li’s weight still secret, btw. As for the reason she doesn’t didn’t like Cammy…um…maybe it was her former job, yes?
