Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

I personally think Alex and Elena are completely original creations, but I could be wrong.

Btw, Guile’s a member of/works at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Charlie worked there too, and I think he was in charge of recruit training.

Not sure about Elena but Alex’s shirt ripping and his taunt sound very much like a pro wrestler. The shirt ripping in particular is a Hulk Hogan thing.

Yes but I don’t think Alex is based on Hulk in general, just to show that Hugo is based on Andre. I think they might have given Alex the typical Hogan pose, which they gave Hugo (“I’m bumba one”), if they wanted him to be a Hulk-rip off. Not sure though.

Different topic:
In the plot guide it says that Pat is in love with Alex because there is some picture in a secret file flyer for Street Fighter III.
I think Tiamat meanst the SFIII 2nd Impact Giant Attack Secret File (which has nothing to do with a flyer by the way) where you can find a page with cheaply drawn bw images of SFIII characters. One is Pat kissing Alex on the cheek but the entire site is just fan art, it looks like a 10 year old drew it. I doubt that it can be taken that seriously and they’re probably just friends.

Just checked the other image he mentions, it’s drawn way better but still on one of the two fan art pages and next to little doodles and child artwork.
Maybe there is official info on Pat being in love with Alex and that’s why the fans drew those pics but basing it on those pics is too much in my opinion. I mean there are millions of Chun-Li & Ryu pics some of which are drawn way better than those SFIII pics and still it’s just fan art. Secret Files shouldn’t be taken too seriously anyway and you always have to check if it’s not a joke or just some fan fiction or fan art.

Yeah, ur right. Speaking of Tiamat, where has he been? I dunno. Maybe it just feels like he’s been gone forever.

What Tiamat meant about a flyer was the secret file found in the Arcade Flyer Archive; they’re similar types of materials that promote the game as it comes out. But yeah, he’ll probably make a slight edit there. He also didn’t say for sure that Pat’s in love with Alex, hence the “crush?” in parentheses. (more on this issue with another character later) Finally, don’t always dismiss the secret files so easily. Just because art isn’t drawn professionally or realistically doesn’t automatically label it unofficial, and words as well as art comprise secret files, which can describe sidestories and such, and they are directly from Capcom.

Alex seems to be like a walking 1980’s stereotype of rockstars/dancers/wrestlers of that American era, the oversized headband, the long 1980’s rockstar hair, the muscle shirt, the half worn overalls, and the gloves with cut finger holes.

Elena seems more like Capcom wanted to show off a style ‘Capoeria’(sp?) and Elena seemed to be a good Stereotype to fit the bill, with her native African coloured rings that are supposed to lengthen certain parts of the body. It might explain why Elena is so damned tall. Basically shes the happy go lucky friend of nature type girl.

I know that they are official but most of the secret files I got (basically all except for the SFIII NG Secret File) are full of nonsence and made by other people than the game makers. A few design sketches and some official artwork are in most of them but the rest is just 4Koma cartoons or what this 4 frame stories are called and well lot’s of text that I don’t understand of course but still it’s meant to be funny which doesn’t meant hat I “dismiss” them, I think they’re great.
And fan art is still fan art. You can find it in Gamest Mooks too. So what. Still not official.

Just curious, which secret files do you have? (which games)

I lean towards Elena’s White Hair and Blue eyes being based on Storm of X-Men.

The History of Storm having White Hair and Blue eyes, from Marvel Comic’s old ‘Marvel Universe’ Comics in the Eighties goes like this.

In Storm’s family (Mother’s side) there have been lots of females that have had white hair and blue eyes that could control the weather, going back to almost the beginning of Human civilization. Storm’s Mother did not have White Hair or Blue Eyes or Mutant powers so it seems to skip a generation here and there.

And Storm’s Hair is Straight and not wooley because her father is white, and that’s where she got her last name Munroe. Her full name is Ororo Munroe.

Um, Storm’s father is black and has always been black. See Uncanny X-men 102 to see several pictures of him drawn by Dave Cockrum. Sorry, I’m a big Storm fan and can’t let this mistake slide

Really? Must be remembering things wrong. Thanks!

Looked it up. Ororo’s mother was an African Princess called N’dare, and her father was an American Photojournalist mamed David. I think I was confusing the American thing with him being Caucasian. Sorry…

Well, in that case Storm’s straight hair makes no sense, unless you’re telling me that her long line of AFRICAN descensants had straight hair. Not that Elena’s straight hair or blue eyes makes any sense either. I guess we have to wait another 100 years before the world realizes that Afroes is cool…

Storm, when she was designed, was supposed to represent the best features of several different races, so that’s probably why she has blue eyes and long straight hair. We were shown one of her ancestors before in a New Mutants issue when Illyana went back in time and ran into Storm’s ancestor. She had white hair as well. It just something special about her ancestry. It might also have something to do with her ancestors having the potential(and actually practicing)to be able to manipultae magic as well. Who knows, the comics never really try to shed light on it and since it’s a comic book, things are suppsed to be a bit strange I guess. But Storm’s still cool. Err…I guess I need to get back to Street Fighter, so, umm, after Storm, Chun Li is the coolest female character.

Street Fighter Zero 2, Street Fighter EX 1, Street Fighter EX 2, Street Fighter III New Generation, Cyberbots, Marvel Super Heroes Vs Street Fighter, X-Men VS Street Fighter, Pocket Fighter, Rival Schools, Marvel vs Capcom and I know a guy who has the SFIII 2nd Impact one.

Thanks! Over at X-Men I like Psylocke but them bastards at Marvel killed her off so… I guess Rogue would be my next favorite.

Nice. We need to find someone with Third Strike’s so he/she can scan it and share it at the Arcade Flyer Archive, or even better here.

What’s that whole Honda and Jimmy (Blanka) thing about on the SFIII NG secret file backside?

Y’know, I’ve been wondering the same thing for a while. I think I’ll ask the RC webmaster to translate it and then I’ll let you know what it says.

It may be an advertisement for their joint-effort “fighting supplements” drugstore; at the bottom is a message for endorphin.
