Just out of the blue, what else is there that seems to point out that Zangief really is gay? Didnât Capcom flat-out say that he is? Apparently, some people just donât think his dislike for âyoung beautiful womenâ is convincing enough.
Heres a pic of Zangiefs SSF2T ending, where he has a pic of a girl on his mirror, matbe a love interest? I have no clue though if it is or not.
As far as his quotes go, maybe he has deep admiration for the president, or is sucking up, and a littleâŚwell maybe extreamly self absorbed with his own body, not nessesarily making him gay. I dont know many gay men who wrestle bears in the siberian snow.
Well then, I was wrong about that picture being of a girl, I looked over it, and turns out it looks a lot like Vega(us) Balrog(japan). Well, guess he might be gay, but thats one gay guy no one will mess with, be sure of that. Assuming he is gay.
snicker Thatâs not a girl in that picture. Thatâs Vega/Balrog  But⌠no, thatâs not a love interest. The Japanese scribbled on the photo says âBakaâ which means âidiotâ.
In all honesty, I donât know much about Zangief being gay, either. Only Saiki does, really. I know there are other things like him prancing around happily in a succubus body in Morriganâs ending in Marvel VS Street Fighter (at least, I think that was the right game) or such⌠dunno about much else, though, really. Iâm wondering where itâs mentioned, too, since someone at the Madman Cafe boards said he couldnât find it in All About Capcom.
Hehe, ya, I noticed it was Vega/Balrog, didnt knwo though what the wrting was, thanks for explaining it though
Guess Zang doesnt like Vega/Balrog much huh. Whats up with that?
Also I have a question about Honda and Chun-Li. In SF2, I remember Chun having a symbol on her back, saw it when doing the Spinning Bird Kick, and then saw it agian on Hondas stage, both in the Sf2 games, and then in the SFA# Honda stage, in the center of the stage. Whats the connection between these two, if any?
I was just playing A3, as E. Ryu, and I noticed something. After the fight, SnH Ryu asked why Sagat wasnât fighting with all his strength. I know that the E. Ryu storyline didnât actually happen, but this seems kind of interesting. Sagat says,
âYou are not the Ryu who left this scar on my chest.â
I thought that the only time the SnH manifested in Ryu was the time he left the scar on Sagatâs chest? Is that just ignorance on Sagatâs part, did he not know Ryu was under the influence of SnH?
About Ryuâs Dp and Kenâs Dp. So who has the better one? Iâve heard it commented that Ryuâs was more of a defensive move than Kenâs. But what do you guys think? And What is stronger, the Shin Shoryuken or Kenâs Shinryuken.
Tiamat: That joke ending where Zangief swaps minds with Lilith is from Marvel vs. Capcom, and itâs actually Lilithâs or âsecret Morriganâsâ ending. I strongly suggest you add that to the Plot Guide so that people will stop asking questions in disbelief and impertinently lose trust in all that recorded material. It has to be a justifiable piece of evidence that supports the notion that Zangief is gay, seeing as how he doesnât have an emotional outburst upon realizing his mindâs been transferred to Lilithâs body. And Capcomâs statement that Zangief dislikes âyoung beautiful womenâ automatically rules out the possibility of him wanting to get close to Morrigan in that ending.
Oh, and I just heard from somebody at GameFAQs that in Pocket Fighter, Sakura has this super where a horde of muscle men run across the screen, grab the other player and drag them offscreen. Usually, when a character gets tossed back, male characters have the âdizzyâ kinda look but females have hearts in their eyes. Obviously, Zangief comes out with the hearts.
And hereâs one comment I forgot to make regarding Zangief and Eagleâs CvS2 intro. I find it unlikely that Capcom would make them spin at each other like that just to make fun of how they both have lariat-type specials as Ultima suggested. Every intro in the game between two characters of the same company has to have some reasonable foundation for it. I mean, Chun-Li and Honda each have multi-hitting specials that require you to jam on the punch or kick buttons, but you donât see them in an intro where theyâre going at it in the same fashion. Zangief and Eagle had no reported relations to each other in past SF games, so they canât give them some kind of interaction all of a sudden without making it an obvious hint towards the one thing they most have in common. This is why you also see Vega/Balrog throwing a rose at Kyosuke in their intro; both are vain and think highly of their own looks.
tsj76: I donât think Sagat realized Ryu was under the influence of SnH. If he did, he wouldnât have been holding a grudge against him for some time before SFA3. Of course, Ryu had no basic understanding of what Satsui No Hado was until he was subjected to fight against Bisonâs Psycho Power, so it can be deduced that Sagat wouldnât of known about SnH at the time of SF1 either.
IMO, Ryuâs Shoryuken is better because itâs packed with such power that it can knock his opponents down in one hit, thus it has more priority than Kenâs Shoryuken. Case in point, Ryuâs win over Adon in SF1 by one Shoryuken.
If youâre talking DP supers, then Iâd still say Ryuâs Shoryukens are better because his Shin Shoryuken is known to be one of the most powerful moves in the SF universe. None of Kenâs DP supers can even amount to that, no matter how much flash he puts into them.
Dear GOD, Iâm getting sick and tired of putting up with people saying that Zangief canât be gay then accusing me of making up BS. They continue to not believe that Lilith MVC ending and that Eagle Zangief introduction arenât indicators, and there is nothing I can do about that because even if those come close, they still arenât 100% conclusive, but that Pocket Fighter one seems irrefutable. Whew! adds that to the guide
I wonder why people refuse to believe Zangief is gay? Capcom has stated that he is gay. And like someone said, when he got Lilithâs body in MVC, he didnt seem to not like it.
I didnt even know about the Pocket fighter one thoughâŚI think that one pretty much proves it for ppl who dont believe Gief is gay.
Yeah, some people are just too dumb to catch on to the validity of it all, or theyâre too arrogant to admit theyâre wrong in thinking that Zangief isnât gay. Itâs sad, really. When somebody displays an outlandish piece of evidence and wrongfully suggests that Ryu is gay, people are usually quick to jump on the bandwagon. Yet when there is actual in-game evidence that proves a less popular character like Zangief is gay, some people just HAVE to deny it and foolishly try to pick it apart in his defense? Oh, the irony of it all.
