I actually still don’t think all that highly of Adon as a character and I’ll be curious to see how he fares in the long-term. It seems like his instant air JK pressure isn’t going to scale well with time and familiarity and he’ll wind up being a mid-tier character with decent matchups against some of the higher-tiers a la Dhalsim in vanilla SF4.
That said, he’s not terrible. Some of the option selects GamerBee brought to the tournament were impressive and potentially game-changing.
I love how there’s no reason to believe that anyone is Daigo unless he’s winning (in which case no one questions it) People just don’t get that everyone looses sometimes
I was impressed by Gamerbee. He was doing things with adon that people weren’t expecting. I think that other people’s lack of match up knowledge helped him a little, but regardless of that he’s still really good. I don’t know if I’d say he’s not on Justin’s level. To me it seemed like he deserved to be there.
On a sidenote I was sad when Vangief and Mike Ross lost. I have trouble NOT cheering for Gief, and Mike Ross has a sick honda.
:wtf:Does that game have the guy with the jaguar head in it or something?
Edit: I’m pretty sure we’re playing tomorrow either at Chris’s or otherwise, what’s your phone number Jeff?
For some reason Efnet keeps giving me errors and kicking me off so I may not be idling as usual
I also appreciate how they’re actually trying to make the Capcom characters hang this time. It’s a really stupid thing to take issue with but I hated how competitive MvC2 was almost exclusively Marvel characters with CapCom or Tron Bonne occasionally relegated to the Assist ghetto.
edit: Trip report: By switching to Abel online I managed to lose 1000 PP in half an hour.
chun li looks so boring. She’s identical in nearly every way to her tvc version. Dr Doom looks freaking awesome though, doom rocks lookin baller as ever.
