I’ve been hell of busy these last few days with projects, but after tonight I should be mostly free so i’ll be hangin around #srkmidwest. I’ll gladly play anyone in ST or be someone’s moving training dummy in third strike
I wanna play some ST now! I played against a really good Blanka called bcchoi last nite, didnt win a game but won a couple of rounds… He was hitting big combos and was lightyears ahead of me as far as strategy. I’m glad I got HDR cause I can practice execution there. I can’t wait to face anthony’s fei lol. I hear hes really execution heavy in ST.
wow I am SO sick and tired of playing SF4 online. I swear everyone in my apartment has to let me be the only one using the internet to get a lag free session in, so I’m either pissed @ capcom or my room mates, and thats so annoying. I’m just not gonna do it anymore. I almost got to play Jwong tonite on xbl in the beat a pro thing, but I had 2 bars… then I tried to play people online, but I kept getting disconnected , even when my room mates unplugged their ethernet cables. And I know its not my internet connection because i got 2.0mbps down and .5mpbs up speeds, its the most expensive internet comcast provides… PLUS GGPO WORKS SO WELL ALL THE TIME!
Anyway if anyone hasn’t started im gonna look into getting the fighting game club started on Friday. Hopefully it would allow us to use Purdue’s facilities weekly. That way we could hold a session at place on campus every week and not take up our apartment and annoy our roomates etc. This way I can get my sf fix without having to pull my hair out cause of lag… What do you guys think?
Midwest Championships 2010 is in 30 days,** but there are only 15 days left toreserve your hotel room at the discounted rate of $69/night.** On top of our great tournaments, I wanted to remind you all that there is a door prize raffle. Simple paying the venue fee enters you in the raffle to win one of the many cool prizes. In the raffle are 5 Tournament Edition Madcatz Arcade Sticks, so you could be going home with one of these babies! On top of that, the $1,000 pot bonus on Super SF4 is being split separately from the normal prize pool, meaning that everyone in the SSF4 top 8 gets some money. More people in the money = more happy players.
This is the very first Super SF4 major, and we are also playing a stupid number of other games. Its anEvo qualifier, and we are giving away 16 trophies for various titles. Please come out and show your support for the Midwest fighting game scene, and of course, have an amazing time. See you in 30 days!
We can have it at my place. I got a really good setup planned for Saturday @ 7 p.m. My Address is 120 S. Salisbury. Apartment # 2, just call me when you get there (# 317-847-1012), I might not have a PS3 ready to go, so someone might have to bring one, not sure.
Cool, I’m in but I don’t have your number so I can’t call. I’ll bring my stick.
John I’m swapping out the sanwa stick I put in my SE for a seimitsu. If you want the sanwa for your TvC stick or something let me know. I’m sure we can work out a deal for it.
updated with my phone # now. this session is gonna be sick. gonna have two nice chairs setup in front of the big tv, in a winner stays format and everyone else can sit on the couches with plenty of room to watch.
Also, don’t need a PS3, but I sent my PS3 T.E. Stick away to get the dual mod fixed, so I gotta bum off someone tmrw night :(.
