Sweet, I hope I get my direct deposit on Wednesday so I can buy MBAA and swap magic and all that other stuff… Just bought those din 8 connectors, if you hadn’t recommended the site I would have sworn it was a scam or something the way the final order page looks. Those connectors will make the stick look so cool :D, and they’re not as expensive as I thought, nice!! Are those pretty easy to install?
I had a lot of fun at MWC despite not playing much, playing Cammy in 3v3s was the first time I’ve really enjoyed Street Fighter since realizing how bad SSF4 Gen is (sorry I’ve been so salty over that btw)

I’m really hyped about learning Melty Blood and some other games, I think I’m gonna try to get back into 3S so I can play that at future tourneys (I still play it in the Union from time to time)

Man id be pissed about gen too though, its not really that annoying hearing you complain about him lol. I swear he used to be a really good character. I think if they would have made his waterfall kick better from vanilla then that maybe would be the only change needed, since he had good air to air, footsies, a good crossup, nice jump height and other stuff like a pretty good escape and whatnot. OH, maybe just increase his damage? Not sure why they changed him. Ur mind games with Cammy were amazing though man! I choked hardcore this tourney while you were srking throws :), so glad u are choosing a new char that will put you in the opportunities to win.
Personally i think an unchanged gen would have made him very good in ssf4 and don’t know why he was changed. What do you think he needed, I really am curious, cause now it seems like he doesn’t even have anything to threaten with at all, whereas before It seemed like he just didn’t have anything overpowered which held him from top tier. What would have made him top tier?
Anyway I’m mindfucked with akuma as you can see by me getting perfected and just basically being a training dummy during the 3v3 tourney and need a change, so glad there’s a crap load of new chars to learn along with MBAA and maybe TvC :), both of those games look like so much fun and are really beautiful games. Tony, that site mostly caters to INDUSTRIAL orders, so everything is set up for larger orders that require precise cataloguing and shipping manifests. They just happen to also ship smaller numbers to residential addresses. those things are a bit of a PITA to install. They’re not very user friendly when it comes to connecting them to the wires, but once they’re put together they’re so much better than those gimpy rj-45 connectors.
The buffs that Gen got to his normals were all that he needed imo…but they one-by-one took away everything about Gen that made him good/distinct in vanilla, so even if he turns out to be an alright character tier-wise I think he’ll be really boring to play
I couldn’t agree more with the “zzz…” Gen has good block strings and nothing else now, total opposite of SF4 Gen
The really good air-game and footsies with MK->hands were what made Gen so much fun in vanilla (as well as the fast meter gain with multiple uses for it), now playing him is a chore whether I win or loose
The ps2 slim does have a pop top but it require modification to be able to swap disks without it resetting. There was a cheap replacement part that takes care of that and allows you to still open it that i got. Place I got it from was $34 for the swapmagic and the new top. Other places that woulda been 50 or so. And the slim doesn’t have the whole case replacement, that’s for the original. The slim is a little square piece with a circular top. The square replaces the current disk cover and the little circular bit can be opened without the ps2 realizing it.

Your TvC matches were really impressive in all seriousness, I don’t know why but it seemed a lot cooler watching through the stream recording then a projection on the wall
