Finally started playing on Live again, wow Ultra 2 chip kill for Blanka is mega cheap, even if you jump the first hit most characters will land in the second, if you don’t jump you die anyway, so far no one has escaped it. Still working my way up the ranks but I have 32 straight Blanka wins and 68% avoidance rep. No respect for the jungle. XBL: Ensiferum13 would love to get in some team battle with any locals. Good luck on finals all.
Anything going on this week / weekend? I’ve got one final today and then I’m free until Saturday, I didn’t stick around too long last time but I’m hungering to play against good players, XBL just isn’t cutting it ;\
I’ve got stuff all day tomorrow, but Thursday and Friday I’d be down for some games.
Hey, I figured we should work out some plans for MWC this saturday.
I’m gonna be leaving on saturday morning around 9:00 AM. Anyone who wants to ride with me is welcome, I have room for 3 in my car. Let me know if you wanna come with!

I was planning on driving up there saturday morning too, don’t have an exact time yet. I have room for 1 person comfortably in my car. I have room for up to 3, but those in back won’t have too much room (jetta’s got a small back seat).
Also, a few of you know this already, but I reserved a room too, so we have 2. I figured we could figure that out when we’re there.
Hey Venom, just wanted to say thanks for the advice on sliding. I have a new method on jump-in attacks where I mash jab twice then slide to fierce. I found this way the crouch jab always comes out and goes into fierce lightning which has the best advantage on block, it also feels very natural and controlled. I still can’t seem to slide lightning from a corpsehop like I can piano it though, it just doesn’t come out fast enough. But cheers on advice. I also managed to buy a PS3 madcatz pad on the cheap, and assuming it doesn’t die out of the box like my first one I should be set from now on. Thanks for all the times you let me borrow yours.
who is staying west lafayette sunday May 9th and until when?
as for MWC, if my roomate agrees to come with me, i’ll leave purdue around 10AM saturday. if he doesn’t I probably wont go since I dont see myself driving for 2+ hours right after a painful exam. fingers crossed.
Just finished my fifth final in two days 
…really glad to be done with stressful finals and really looking forward to getting my Gen back on track as well as learning some new games this summer. Just having time to practice again in general will be awesome
I’ll be in West Lafayette all summer, will definitely have to get some games in with whoever else is staying here

Oh, and Tony, good news bad news time. Good news is the modding on the inside of your stick is done. More good news, I tested it with my computer and it appears to be working in both TE and Cthulu mode. Bad news is I haven’t made the cables yet lol. Gonna look into a few things tomorrow and finish it up.
My last final is tomorrow at 8:00 AM so I’m pretty much free all day. I wanna practice super a ton, I’m so not ready for MWC! I actually have a car this weekend so if anyone wants I can drive them to goblinmarine’s house tomorrow.

Good stuff at MWC guys. Great fun and overall a good rep for our scene.
For those who weren’t there or getting text updates from Anthony, Tony made it 65th in singles SSF4 (round 4), John got to 49th in singles SSF4 (round 5) and had a good close match against Damdai on the stream. John made it to 9th in TvC and got to play several matches on the stream. John ALSO made it to 5th in the Mystery Game tourney, losing to Floe in BioFreaks. Also, in the first few matches called for the tourney I got to play Floe on the stream. Took a round in the first game before being dismantled like a rusted out Ford in the second.
Meanwhile those Melty players played LITERALLY all weekend… gotta learn that game.
