Yeah, Juri’s looking really good…I had my doubts about Feng Shei but it looks really good now
We’ll see, I didn’t like a lot of things about her when I played around with her but we’ll see how she plays once people have her figured out better (Floe certainly seems to be doing well)
yeah seems like Feng Shui is only really good for making your mixup more dangerous since you can get good damage off overheads and lows. It’s like going into dudley mode for 20 seconds

Nice games by everyone, it looked like good times, now you can use that “Tournament Player” tag in online Super with pride. Speaking of, John just come to the dark side and get a 360 already. Faster loading, better pool of players, and no 15 second save delay after every match. And if you can get the 100 dollars off Walmart deals that come around every so often you’re looking at a 100 dollars new for the arcade model saving your money to buy a harddrive only when you need it. I mean have you ever heard why they call it a PS3? Because after seeing it you turn 3pi radians and walk away.

People have been arguing about the best console for whichever fighting games for a years now, its got nothing to do with fanboyism, just which version is arcade perfect etc. I’d say fanboyism is most prevalent on gamespot forums or ign or sites like that, and is mostly propogated by little kids with no jobs that support their console their mom chose for them (which was probably a random choice) till death cause they think buying a console is as big a deal as buying a car or a house in their eyes. All of my decisions have been based off of whether or not something is the best choice not out of my would-be retarded love for a company. Just look at the huge threads bitching about which console is ST’s best port, they aren’t console fanboys.

I’m gettin a PS3 because I don’t have to pay $100 for a wireless adapter which is a necessity due to the layout of my house, I don’t have to pay for online service, and I already have a good PS3 stick. Even though an xbox is cheaper it’ll cost me more in the long run.
damn you cant just buy a 50ft ethernet cord? I did that recently from what I understand wired is a necessity no matter which system ur at, but yeah that is a drawback to the 360. I used to play wireless and noticed less lag when I switched, and btw i think you can buy the 1st gen 360 wireless adapters for 54 dollars on amazon, doesn’t work on N wireless signals though.
I kid, I kid, PS3s are great. And even better they don’t have face-palmingly high failrate of the 360 so you can actually buy one used. But like Tony said, a long ethernet cable is a good idea if it doesn’t overimpose on your family. One of my favorite messages back if someone says I only won because of lag is “don’t blame me if you play on your neighbor’s wireless” because then the indignant responses about T1 lines are always enjoyable. Good point about already having a stick that doesn’t fall apart when you overchurn the butter like your PC one though. And I also apologize Anthony, it is pretty highschool, I should have upgraded to fighting game tier-list fanboyism when I got my diploma.

I didn’t fall in love with Hori before SF4…I just haven’t bought a new stick since before SF4, if I didn’t have it I’d probably buy something else to be honest lol

I could care less about how someone “spends their money” lol whats that supposed to mean anyway? Only reason I vouch for 360 is because I wish it were the tournament standard, and the standard @ Purdue. It’s just annoying that PS3 is the standard for reasons other than the quality of its port and whenever you say something about 360 being the better version, PS3 fanboys call you a fanboy when in fact their support of the PS3 version is for no other reason than pride about their video game console, its madness. I always thought the fighting game scene was above the console war nonsense and cared about the quality of the port, don’t even include me in that senseless debate where people think they’re on the 360 team vs. the archnemesis ps3ers. Wow what a bunch of nerds they are. If I had to choose, sf4 aside, ps3 all the way btw… but this is srk where 100+ pages of threads are devoted to HDTV lag, not gamespot where people compare the next year lineups of 360 vs ps3. It’s too bad that fighting gamers are all entangled in the console wars, it stops any progress being made on which port is superior, kinda like political cleavages stopping progress being made in this country you know what I mean?
In fact I think I am going to buy a PS3 just incase I want to play a blu-ray disc if I ever save up for a 1080 resolution screen, and its the tournament standard and I hear mgs4 is one of the best games ever made. Only reason I’m saying this is because I have to praise the shit out of the PS3 when pointing out its faults or people will cry and call me a 360 fanboy, when people should just focus on how it plays street fighter.
Still buy w/e you want I’m not gonna hate you for it if that’s what you’re worried about?
Also I think Powerup is probably going to be a failure, but I’d go if I were made of money. Its held two days like a Major but just isn’t a Major. There is a 128 person cap on SSF4 and you have to get a hotel room and drive out there like a major. Not really worth my time and money when majors are happening all over the place, I’d rather go to that major in new jersey if any at all but I’d rather level up like John, unless you guys wanna go that is. Mikes inspired me to think about driving huge distances lol. I guess I just had a bad taste in my mouth from my parents never buying plane tickets when I was a kid. We had to drive the most insane distances to go on vacation in a cramped car.
