Viscant won Evo and new game is coming out so the question is

I’m sorry but I love your avatar X. All I hear is S-Kill’s voice when I read your post. It’s especially funny reading this post with Seth’s reaction lol.

People hated the giants because playing against them was like a completely different game from playing against everybody else. They got countered pretty easily, and Lightan was considered bottom tier, but they still won if people didn’t know how to fight them, which was decidely different from fighting anybody else in the game.

LMFAO this is amazing

Lightan was bottom tier, but PTX was actually a very interesting character and had the tools necessary to win. It took skill to use effectively, had some really bad matchups, but could still win.

Of course, most players took one look at it and stomped their feet and said “I won’t have this! I can’t combo this character. Boooo.” and refused to learn how to actually play against giants. Sad really, because I was there the first time a PTX won a tournament, and it was mad hype. That character is like the official pet mascot of TvC.

Honestly, this win was well deserved. Sure he chose Phoenix and relied on her a couple of times but she was always plan B. Of course she’s cheap, but he’s playing to win like everyone else in Evo. I mean… did you see all those wolverine/akuma’s in the top 32?

His MvC2 skills really showed when he was able to successfully defend against PR Rog’s incredible Dante, anyone else would of been pringles. (PR Rog has the best Dante atm by far) Another thing I have to point out is that Viscant’s Wesker is bar none, nobody comes close to his.

So again, congrats to Viscant. You are the man. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

Oh, those guys made that kid look gooood. I couldn’t stop laughing, my brother uses hulk just like that and the only reason I got blown up was the blocking is for turtles mentality, made my wolverine look silly, but I learned and am a better player for it. I treat Hulk just like Sentinel now, respect that space or Hulk smash you in the face.

You know I was joking, judging by the irony sprinkled in my message… I guess it’s your fault for not getting my response in the first place, too.

OH INTERNETS, WHY ARE YOU SO UNFAIR. D:

I second this, I respect the kid’s potential but his skill wasn’t very good and I’m surprised he got so far.

Where did it say you were joking…I must have missed it.

A MESSAGE TO ALL XBOX LIVE HULK SENTINEL PLAYERS:
THIS JUST IN…
AN EIGHT YEAR OLD IS DOING THE EXACT SAME COMBOS AS YOU, HOW DOES THAT FEEL?

That eight-year-old kid probably would have bodied you, just like XBL Hulk/Sent players body you (which is what inspired your salty/nonsense post, right?)

How does that feel?

"…judging by the irony sprinkled in my message…"
I guess we both missed it. =(

NINJA EDIT: I appreciate the massive amounts of sodium in this thread. Keep going, SRK!

Lettuce be reality about The Prodigy. The nerves and pressure got to a shit load of people that played him and they went full circle and forgot about 1st week technology lmao. then simply got exposed, sent and hulk hyper armor blew everyone up 1st week and then after that everyone figured out how to play it, then came evo and everyone thought they got past that but no got exposed. obviously they couldnt handle the pressure. obviously they werent as good as they thought and the prodigy was better than them when it counted. he got nerves of steel and has potential to be good at the game. but whatever haters gonna hate.

I don’t know what’s worse in this thread: the people that can’t read or the theorycrafters for this game that spend more time complaining about it than playing it. Things we learned about this game were: 1) Phoenix is not a free win (too many people got blown up on snapback on incoming characters), 2) A lot of talk of Wolverine was centered around players not learning how to play the match up properly, 3) Akuma is a lot better as a character and an anchor than he is given credit for, 4) good Wesker play is damn impressive to watch (Shotouts to Viscant and Renegade), 4) Its a shame they are nerfing both Haggar and Tron assist since it is hilarious to see how willing people were to just run head first into that (makes me think that all the new Marvel players would’ve cried about Commando’s and Jin’s assist), 5) we are getting UMvC3 entirely too soon and unfortunately will not be able to get the actual nerf/buffs the game needs, 6) X-factor is a really shitty mechanic as it stands right now.

I love MvC3; its probably one the most fun I’ve had with a fighting game since MvC2. But too many people are talking a lot of shit about MvC2 without really knowing. The two best characters in the game, Storm and Sentinel, had really good combos but few of them killed you in one hit; they would have to reset you a couple of times or go for unblockable set ups. In that sense they were a lot like Wesker is right now, really good because they can do multiple things very well as opposed to have one gimmick. Cable and Magneto were the characters that were stuck in the one gimmick part much like Wolverine. Doesn’t stop them from being tops, but just required more work. Right now wolverine looks beast, but in a couple of years we would’ve been blocking a lot of his gimmicks. What is happening right now with all this discussion about MvC2, is that people have an insanely selective memory on their matches because they came in with SF4 and suddenly think they know. Here’s some shit: I’ve seen more footsies in MvC2 finals than I did in the top 8 for SSF4:AE. You wanna get mad at something? Get mad at the fact that too much of an SF top 8 was decided on gimmick ways of getting in as opposed to working for that shit. God damn dive kicks and burn kicks have turned Street fighter into “fuck footsies.” Show me a match with Magneto beasting and I will show you more with two Sentinels fighting for air superiority or two Storms playing chicken building meter. Mind you, I suck at MvC2, can’t Rom or do Fly/Unfly combos with Sentinel, but I took time to learn the damn game.

So really, pop off and shut up about it. Viscant was damn fucking impressive the entire time. EVO Moment is Viscant turning to audience laughing and then coming back to beast. Latiff was fucking impressive, Fuudo was godlike with his blocking, Fucking Sparks was even more amazing with his blocking.

I guess all in all, bitches need to learn how to block and they need to get rid of that SPD on Seth; better yet, give everybody gimmicks.

I think some people just don’t want to be seen doing run away disruptor on a little kid.

Them Noah matches were funny as hell. I’m actually glad he buss some heads becuase people love to try and run in a do shit like they’re some gangster. Respect that :h: or prepare to get spiked to the floor.

I would of murked him though lol :sunglasses:

Reading comprehension is fine, thread is still pointless. It is a bad wordy Viscant dick riding thread. Really, he could of just made a “Congratulations for winning Viscant!” and said equally as much without starting lolforums drama.

I’m not downplaying him for winning MvC3 Evo AT ALL, just ‘keeping it real’.

lol unless they are cheap old men

if that was mvc2, aside from noah not even getting close to winning, if he were to go up against any cheap old men they’d runaway/keepaway storm the whole time. time out the poor kid. lol

Play to win, or save that airfare.

I love when people dont actually read the post and just assume what they want to so they can pull out their terrible zingers they have been saving for a couple of months.
