Just played The Messenger for like 3 hours straight. This game is fantastic, but damn, the controls can be clunky/frustrating as hell at certain parts.
Weird flex, but, I finally landed my Kefla TOD last night and Iām so happy.

This is the most fun Iāve had with a DLC character since Cooler. Waifu for laifu.
Play Nioh 2 with me.
I couldnāt watch more than like 15 minutes of that PS5 video. That guy is too painful to listen to. I thought it was Dana Carvey doing an impression at first.
All of the stuff about load times is nice on paper, but weāll wait to see it in action. I donāt trust Sony at all when they talk about stuff after the Killzone debacle years back and the old man Emotion Engine demo.
Sure, once Iām off tonight we can fuck shit up.
XBSX vs. PS5.
Iām not really good with tech stuff like this. All my tech knowledge has to do with building servers and networks. So I donāt know dip about this, really. I mean, I know the obvious stuff like SSD, RAM and the disc drive but most of it goes over my head.
I figured people would be interested in the comparisons though
TLDR: PS5 has a faster SSD. Series X has a faster everything else.
Lol what you are talking about is ancient history the Playstation division of those days lead by Ken kutaragi canāt be compared to today. Cerny is the real deal this guy goes around the globe asking companies and their developers what they want and need in a console not mention he also speaks Japanese so he knows the two markets perfectly well and can communicate perfectly between the two sides
Wasnāt what he said but how he said it. I mentioned when the presser first started he sounded like he cranked his customer service voice up to 11. He didnāt have any passion into what he was saying which made the presentation even more boring.
What a fucking weeb
Nice. Iām happy with everything Iāve heard about both consoles to be frank. Xbox might be able to pull themselves out of the PR hole they dug themselves into at the beggining of this last Gen. If they can bring exclusives to the table, and keep on supporting indie games the way they do, I think theyāll be in a great spot.
PS5 being compatible with only about 100 PS4 titles at launch kinda dissapoints me when you consider the Xbox is already confirmed to have compatibility with all their previous stuff. I was really, really hoping my PS3 digital library would be usable on the thing.
This would never happen because of the Cell CPU fuckery
Digital Foundry had all info up before the presentation started
Yeah. This was a huge āoofā moment for me too and might honestly turn the tide for a lot of people; myself being one of them.
Just gotta start telling us games and price points, I guess.
While I wouldnāt even consider this a console war itās definitely the gaming equivalent of an arms race.
Iām confused with the CPU. Is the CPU a Zen 2 or 2 cores?
I thought they had only tested 100 games and it should work for most games but they could not guarantee them all.
@Hawkingbird Both consoles have 8 core, 16 thread, Zen 2 based CPUs
Meh, both veer on the side of overkill imo, though I was never a graphics guy tbh.
How bout them games and how much theyāll cost?
I was legit shocked to know that GBVS was more than double the Steam price on PSN. Stack that with paid online and honestly, I donāt think Iām getting either.
With that said, I still believe that whoever gets the better library and price tag wins at the end.
I got no horse in this race, but Sonyās issues with backwards compatibility might bite them in the ass hard on the beginning of the race.
No, they tested the top 100 and some just couldnāt work.
Noticed a typo in my post. It should have said ācould notā
Looks all fun but lets see those games guys!
This is pure speculation on my part but I think Sony upped their GPU clock speed from 2.0 Ghz to 2.23 after getting wind of what Microsoft had in store.
