I’m just looking for an excuse to post these silly .gifs. At least we still have physical on consoles…though that can be questionable with some games these days that require 20-50GB day 1 fucking patches to even boot the goddamn game.
The next gen consoles and their supposed 1TB SSDs are gonna be a joke. People are gonna install FFVII Remake, Red Dead Redemption 2, and their SSDs are gonna be damn near full.
One thing that could mitigate this is if the consoles get better speeds to transfer games between external hdds to the ssd in the console, but of course, that opens another can of worms.
The SSDs are gonna need to be durable. Plus all live service games are going to be a pain in the ass. The base game will be like 150GB and after two years of updates it’ll take up half your hard drive.
yeah, I was considering but I’ll most likely pass on Vampire Coteries of New York…unless it’s just on an insane, stupid-cheap price one day like 2 or 3 bucks. They might’ve gotten me hooked in more easily if this were at least like the TellTale games, and I wasn’t a fan of those either…at least those games had characters actually moving. Coteries only has certain scenes where background art animates slightly…like flickering lights or something like that. I already don’t like this genre in the first place, but they need to at least show me some character moving around and doing stuff, not just static images. The artwork in the game is gorgeous but it’s just frustrating that there’s not even any animation.
Also, from what I’m hearing, your choices in the story don’t even change things that much in the end…and you’re choosing from a very small roster of preset characters…you don’t have much input on who they are… this is quite frustrating how many little things are piling up and making this NOT a buy for me. I’ve been watching a certain youtuber (* “Outstar”) play this…so I get to at least see how it all plays out that way.
Any of ya’ll consider yourselves good at Vanquish? I could use some advice.
This game is way harder than I remember. Even after I switched it down to Normal I still feel like I’m getting utterly shit on a lot of the time. I can manage to do some cool looking stuff every now and then, but it pretty much always seems like I’m left in compromising positions after using boost, which leads to the slow-mo state, which leads me to hiding behind cover, rinse and repeat.
I don’t think I’m wavedashing correctly either. I heard it was just boost, roll cancel, boost, ect but that doesn’t really seem effective. I saw a guy on YouTube somehow using the melee between boosts and canceling like that I think…? Can’t seem to replicate it tho.
Dunno about the “Wavedashing” tech but Dash>Roll combo is absolutly effective.
Upgrading guns makes a huge difference as well so you should be sure to focus on that. They only upgrade when you pick up a weapon while said weapon has full ammo in your inventory.
As for Bar, that’s a matter of learning to manage it. Also don’t use Melee much, least not for a while. A good Melee trick tho is you can Dash kick inanimate objects for an easy way to get air for shooting over larger obstacles and you won’t over heat. Same with the Flash Kick Melee move. Easy slow mo on wiff.
Yeah events take a long time to get together, with the current outlook, even if the virus is dying down by May that isn’t enough time for everything to be organized for such a massive event.
Command & Conquer. Been listening to the OST for the first game at work the last few days. Still slaps after all these years. Didn’t think a re-release or a remastered collection could be a thing since EA is all about dem MTX and sucks. I’m still worried because this is EA but this C&C Remastered Collection looks and sounds awesome.
And can we get another banger like this in the new one, please?
Wait a tad when you boost. It takes a fraction of a second for it to actually start draining boost. Just don’t go over. I forget how to do the melee thing but I remember it being an optimization level strat that you shouldn’t really need. And yeah Hard is pretty damn hard, even normal doesn’t let you relax of you’re rusty.
Anyway, you just need to be really careful with boosting in general and leave yourself some leeway so you can always roll. Take out hit scanners quick unless the arena has corners and walls you can use to ignore them while hitting bigger targets.
Don’t forget to use grenades to take out big groups all at once. You can be sorta liberal with em.
Personally I highly recommend the LFE gun as it’s fucking amazing for killing lights fast and CCing big guys.
