Theyâre losing money right now. Only big fans will come back for an SE. All the casuals they have grabbed right bow wonât double dip on a full priced SE. They would bug DLC tho.
So yea they are about losing money on this franchise. Have been for years, itâs really weird.

DMCVSE would specifically be targeting the hardcore demographic anyway, no? Just like DMC3SE was, and I guess DMC4SE to a certain extent
man this is petty but seeing max get stream sniped is just hilarious to me especially that time that Japanese pro guilty gear player insta killed and made him rage quit rev 2 and delete the vods.

Itâs honestly baffling. Sure, game was great from the jump and adding BP is good, but letâs be honest, DMCV would make more money with just a little extra DLC support.
Like, you make a pack with Lady, Trish and Vergil, maybe even add some extra missions and boom. Capcom prints money and you have a very happy fanbase.
Instead of that, you get pretty much an old school game that has pretty much all of its content (except BP) on release.
It makes no sense.
Yea I donât get it either. Characters is easy money from the DMC fanbase because characters are hours of gameplay for little money from the player. The investment incentive is an easy sell and Capcom already has the characters soâŚyeaâŚweird.
But Capcom has been like this about DMC ever since the beginning. Like they pissed out a sequel quickly and with no care because they wanted easy money instead of lasting money. They righted the ship with 3 then rushed put 4 and damaged the brand name worse then DMC2 did. Then they tried to reboot in the middle of a story arc which pissed everyone off. DMCV has been a DMC3 level return to form but then yea you have silly decisions like 0 DLC.
In a lot of ways Capcom doesnât really know what to do with DMC.

Vergil has most if not all of his moves already finished. No Trish/Lady kind of makes sense(even though they have character models and some of their moves) but no Vergil when heâs basically complete is just weird.
Honestly though, we should be happy we even got a DMC this generation. Itâs basically the only traditional action game we got next to Bayonetta 2 and re-releases like DmC and the DMC collection. God of War 2018 has more in common with Diablo and Wolcen than it does a raw action game, same with Nioh with all of the stats, weapons/armor/level ups etc to worry about and I love Nioh.
I should go play some Lords of Shadow 2. I even bought that Thor game for like >5 bucks on PS3, I think itâs a God of War clone before God of War became Diablo of War.

4 was sadly a bit of a wasted potential but 2 had people wanting to boot it from canon. 
DMC4 had people so pissed off with its half a game that people said they where done with the franchise.
