SF dropped off for me more or less completely after Super IV. It just became a game I didn’t give a shit about and haven’t really since. So I learned other games that were out or games I wanted to give attention to again.
For about 3 or 4 years the only fighters I played were 3rd strike, Neogeo Battle Coliseum, KoF XI (the goat KOF), 98UM, 2k2UM and Garou. (man I miss getting destroyed by Nocturnal in garou lol)
I got back into marvel 2 heavily again as well when I moved back to Seattle around 2011 since I got to hang out with a bunch of old running buddies I played with. Once a few of us had a falling out I stopped playing again.
I tried to learn some animu fighters. Whatever the current Blazblu and GG were at the times. But they never clicked for me. So I went back to playing Melty Blood and Arcana Heart.
Now I just simply can’t play fighters cause the nerve damage in my hand. It use to bother me but now I’m fine. I still miss it but I don’t lament or get depressed about it anymore.
The only games and scenes I really pay attention to nowadays are Tekken and whatever the newest NetherRealm game is out. SF5 is disgusting to me. DBFZ bores me to tears. Lastly, I don’t know enough about any of the current anime fighters to know what’s going on, so I’m not going to pretend to know.
Edit: id love to learn KI that came out for the xbone but I wouldn’t know where to look when it came to strats, match-ups, etc. also a common complaint for it now is that Keits shit the bed when it came to balancing and mechanics.
Not sure if it was posted already but, this Bandai Humble Bundle is awesome. I went ahead and got everything in it.
$25 will get you everything included, which is:
-Pac Man 256
-Enslaved: Odyssey To The West
-Get Even
-Hack GU: Last Recode
-Katamari Damacy REROLL
-RAD
Tales of Berseria
-Man of Medan
Oh and fuckin Tekken 7.
Actually pretty hype to try every single game in the bundle this time, while also dodge paying $40 for Tekken again. I really like how it lets you choose how much of the purchase goes to which organization.
