People are still streaming the balls out of 5. MK 11 stream numbers have been wack.
With the sales the game had, it should’ve eclipsed a lot of other games. But that scene stays kinda wack; even with great netcodes.
Since has not being on Evo ever killed a game? MK always had it’s own league with every healthy numbers and online community.

I’ve been playing SF5 a bit lately and I’m actually having fun with it. Not as much fun as I had with 4 in its heyday, but I’m really digging fucking around with Sagat, Honda, and Blanka. Hadn’t had those characters last time i played.

Yeah, thats now. That hasnt been a consistent thing.
Because FGC NRS numbers have always been weak. Whenever I brought up all the evidence to show the community is weak, people get bent out of shape about it.
No amount of single player content has kept their scene engaged in competitive play. At best they tossed money at eLeague for the fuck of it. Outside of that they arent participating en masse in most majors. Not in the way the sales numbers suggest they should.
So it is what it is. Not sure why that gets people consistently mad but it does.
Same way people get when you point out that there are 4 different modern games on PS4 and the NRS scene barely has side events for any of them. You can literally run majors on NRS games only but fuck it if you’re fonna see signs ups for MK9, Inj1 or Inj2 in a lot of places.
Dragonball Queef Fighter P has more viewers than Tekken, Soul Calibur, SFV and MK11 combined. Shiiet. SC has 76 people watching. 
Pretty interesting. Maple Story has more viewers than FF7R. Seems like the hype has died down for that one quite a bit, even people here stopped talking about it.
Im not defending 5. Just pointing out how tje game did wack shit based on the people who bought the game on release.
Colors being locked behind survival in SF5 is the stupidest shit too. Typing with my thumbs or I’d add more.
But the NRS has had every advantage to be the biggest game in the scene and it constantly underperforms. Who knows how long the aftermath bumb will help MK11 for. Shit didnt save Inj2.
I’ve been playing a lot Seth while I’ve been out of town. Finally hopped on the V-Skill 2 to train. My execution is ass but the character is still fun.

It was, until peeps started seeing the new fatalities/brutalities. Then that YouTube fiasco happened(video take downs and demonetization) and it was obvious MK couldn’t be the figuredhead cause gore.

FF7R isn’t like a fighting game or grind game that has thousands of hours of play time. You can do most everything in 100 hours, like most JRPGs
