Because the biggest complaint about MK11 from casual players on release was how obtuse it was to unlock shit.

There vids, on vids, on vids from dudes who dont know what mix up is crying that MK11’s system with the 3 currencies, one of which was going to be sold for money.

I get SF5 is shitty, but that doesnt mean NRS gets a pass on wildin’.

I almost bought this on sale a while back. It looks great.

I wish it had a campaign of some sort though, especially with how thicc the atmosphere is and the 3D audio sound design.

The towers were patched pretty soon after release bro. I get that they shouldn’t have launched like that in the first place but, you gotta follow up on this stuff if you’re gonna try and be objective about it all.

There’s really only two currencies. Koins are earned in game and can’t be bought with real money. Time Krystals can be purchased with real money AND earned in game, and allow you to buy paid cosmetic stuff.

There’s soul fragments and hearts, which you get from performing fatalities or finding them through in game rewards. They pretty much only serve to unlock levels in towers.

It’s really not very different from SFV man. Biggest difference is you can’t grind an absurd amount of in game points to get DLC characters for free.

This game is fucking hard, but it’s really cool. I’m wondering if my RX570 can even handle it, it’s a hella good looking game.

It’s a very slow, methodical Battle Royale. Sometimes you’ll go entire matches without seeing other players. Dying in any match deletes your character and all the progression they’ve made up until that point, so every single moment is very tense. I think that constant tension gives the game a lot of personality and edge.

Give it a shot man, it’s a really cool game.

Imagine looking at how much all of SFV content would cost before the champion edition and calling MK11 obtuse.

Casual fluff is there to move units, not to benefit the FGC.

MK11 with upcoming update and much better netcode than SFV is dead. But I can find back to back matchups while SFV online is dead as fuck.
