Video Game General 7.0: Day Juan Ys: MoC June 9th & Wonderful 101 June 30th!

Most of the stage tracks are by the dev teams own music guy, most of the boss themes are by the guest composers who just did 1 or 2 tracks

The Undergrounds slaps so hard, double divas, Into The ground. Music is so damn good.

I damn near might rate this ost higher than Doom Eternal.

Where were you when BioShock released or the cross-gen Wolfenstein game good sir? People praised those games the same way they did TLoU, honestly even moreso in the case of BioShock.

People are queefing themselves over Star Citizen and Cyberpunk and they aren’t even out yet. DUSK has some of the best level design I’ve seen in any game and is also one of the best games I’ve ever played. It’s also a 20 dollar indie shooter that I never thought would be 1/100th as good as it is.

PLAYER MORE SHOOTERS AXEMANG! CoD is the cornflakes of the FPS genre. Basic stuff and it goes the job for what it is, but it’s time to try superior flavors. Wolfenstein double pack is > 20 bucks, same with DOOM 2016. Tell me the gunporn in those games doesn’t make you shit your pants. :star_struck:

Brand loyalty in the console space is a bit overblown. I’m not saying it doesn’t matter, but it’s not the degree people think. When Sony was fucking up with the PS3, people were quick to hop on the Xbox 360 train. Most console buyers are “casuals”, brand loyalty is more of a thing among the hardcore. Just like when people jumped on the 360 train, people hopped on the PS4 bandwagon when MS shit the bed. What matters more than brand loyalty is who doesn’t fuck up. That matters the most. For the most part, the company that doesn’t fuck up wins. The company that does takes the L.

Real talk, I hate the original game and even I think the Remake is good. The battle system has that fighting game “get gud” element to it that just make its fun. Got up to Chapter 8 in hard mode. Thinking about how I’m gonna get through major fights with no items is fun.

Remake fun as hell dude…especially hard mode

Last night I finally beat the hard mode super boss in the simulator in FF7R, but funnily enough the hardest part is getting to it lol. I actually one shot the boss itself, but the fight before it is vs a stronger Bahamut who summons Ifrit halfway through the fight. That part took me several tries. The reward for the fight is an accessory that lets you enter battle with a full limit break gauge though, so that’s pretty sick.

All I have left to do is chapter 18 on hard

Jeez that sounds like a pain in the ass. I honestly I have my doubts if I’ll be able to do everything on hard. It will be fun to try though.

It definitely requires some decent strats. As well as the knowledge that level 3 magic can be used to put even the strongest enemies into hit stun. Suuuuper important for canceling enemy attacks.

I saw a speed run of that simulator mission that beats it in less than 2 min game time. Real time is like 5 min but still super fucking fast.

Naw you’ll def conquer if your having fun with it. Don’t sleep on level one spells in hard mode, use em to get pressure state on enemies. Play around with materia…synergy, magnify and arcane ward can put a lot of magic out for low cost.

I found that the pride and joy round 4 was much harder than round 5 as well (thank god)

I FORGOT ABOUT CHOW TIME

FUCK man. More games need dynamic music like this. It’s so fucking cool when enemies are flooding the screen and the music is already tense, but then a new enemy type hops in and the music amps up and pushes everything into the redline.

I’ve added probably at least half of this OST to the Spotify Playlist I use for DBFZ. I cannot believe how hard it slaps. It’s all I can listen to lately. :weary:

Im actually of the opposite opinion. I only own DC for the Vita and the screen is way too small for how much bullshit happens in that game. Playing a big ass barbarian and I still can’t find her in the videogame vomit confetti that is that games fights.

I mained Sorceress (#titties) and just the idea of playing DC on a vita makes my head hurt

If you were playing solo or with 2 people at most it was still fine but yeah a big group made it pretty hard to see lol

You’re not even remotely wrong. But I’m really hoping they let those amazingly creative studios like Ninja Theory and DoubleFine do what they do best.

Then again, they had RARE make shovel ware games for the Kinect an entire console generation. So fuck me I guess lol

That’s all Rare is good for well done MS.
