Oh hell yes. I’m checking this out today. This also reminded me to try and emulate Mario Galaxy. 
Hopefully those rumored Mario games are actually coming to Switch, that would be incredibly sick. If Nintendo is actually gearing up to put Wii, GameCube and N64 games on Switch, then… Dude…

I wasn’t on message boards when Final Fantasty VII originally released so it’s nice to be able to discuss FFVIIR.
Before FFVIIR released this image was circling the net.
The pic alone made me chuckle but knowing the context behind it makes it freaking hilarious. To those who have seen or gotten past this point, did Aerith appear catty with Tifa when she said “It’ll be fine. Don’t forget, we’ve got a bodyguard. Mine!” after grabbing Cloud’s left arm? Yeah, these are two women that are spooked by ghosts (Tifa moreso) so it is natural for them to latch on to Cloud since he’s the only dude around, but Aerith clearly used it as a chance to get clingy with Cloud and despite the budding friendship between the two ladies, Aerith’s clingyness to Cloud definitely rubbed Tifa the wrong way.
I was playing OG FFVII a few days ago and was at the part in the Shinra HQ where the team is locked up. You know the part where you can speak to Aerith and she responds to Cloud “The deal was one date, right?” Upon hearing this, Tifa sits up, looks in Aeirth’s direction, interrupts them saying “…Oh, I get it.” To which Aeirth responds in surprise that she is in the same cell as Cloud. And Tifa responds “EXCUSE me.” As if to say, Bet you didn’t know I was here listening to you flirt with him, did you? Maybe it is the harem anime fan in me but scens like that never fail to amuse me. Years later that scene still makes me LOL. Glad to see this kind of stuff is in FFVIIR.

I’m on my third playthrough right now, and I just wanna say Jesus christ man. Talk about doing a lot with just a little. This honestly might go down as my favorite game this year. This game is a celebration of both the franchise and the entire genre.
I hope they continue supporting this game with additional content. I can’t get enough.

Yeah it’s the same game, it just has even higher res art assets. Save data even transfers.

It’s such a great game for Vita. Pop it on, do a dungeon run real quick, pop it off. Another game that would be perfect for Switch.
I’m surprised it never got a sequel. Such a quality, timeless game.
They were working on 13 Sentinels right after that and that took them a while, it only came out in Japan last November. They’re a really small dev team, relatively, and most of the team are artists.
Huh, didn’t even know they moved on to other stuff. Looking at 13 Sentinels I can tell they had a hand in it because the artwork is gorgeous. Seems like a weird game tho.
Either way, impressive stuff for a team of mostly artists.
It’s a visual novel with RTS-ish battles, so yeah, different from most of their recent stuff. Not the first time they’ve made an RTS though, Grim Grimoire was one too.
Im low key stoked about this cause Sony has done Jack shit to get me invested in their new system. Their tech overview video was boring, which I get, it wasn’t supposed to be exciting but that “too 100 selling PS4 games will have BC” thing was so horrible. Doesn’t matter if Sony back peddled and correct themselves. The damage has already been done.
Microsoft has nearly their entire library across 3 generations being BC + back catalogs available on game pass. That’s a huge fucking deal and a massive selling point. I’m really hoping they plan on doing something with all of those amazing companies they super market sweeped last year otherwise they’ll crash and burn just like they did with the One.
My favorite track is Mr. Y atm. Entire ost is godlike.
Call The Cops, Overflow, Boat Theme and the recreation of Go Straight are my faves right now. I can’t believe how consistently this OST slaps considering how many people collaborated on it. I’m gonna have to look up their other work.
I think it’ll crash and burn anyway, brand loyalty doesn’t exist for Xbox outside of America. Their consoles have never sold well outside of the 360 and that was because Sony dropped the ball. I feel like Sony would have to fuck up for Xbox to be relevant at all again.
They’ve shown they don’t care about having exclusives on their platform either. I dunno, at this point Microsoft is just kind of there. I was hoping another player would come into the console space in a serious way, but look at the Stadia. 
It should be interesting to see console sales next-gen though, especially with COVID and PC gaming seemingly getting bigger & bigger.
