Yeah, and it’s gone gold, which means (as far as I remember) that they can’t really change anything. If the stuff I’ve seen video of and heard about is true, then they’d better have an immaculate execution. Fantastic story (other than what I heard) and gameplay are their only ways out of this.
And I speak as someone who just saw cinematics of TLOU1. I’M upset about the story and I didn’t even play TLOU1 or have any plans to play 2 before reading the leaks. That’s why I read them. I can’t imagine someone who really played and got attached to TLOU1 seeing that shit happen. It’s about to get crazy.
Hell, at this point, I’m not even sure why I’m throwing all these "IF"s around; a simple “the leaks aren’t true” would have defused all this, but they’re obviously true at this point. It makes no sense to keep them being false close to the chest. They have a mountain of backlash ahead if that gameplay/story isn’t tip-top outside the bad parts.
Lmao, who is thelgndwilnvrdy? who’s alt is?
This pansy nigga trying to troll by posting dumb shit and walls of text that no one is reading past the 1st sentence.
If there is one thing I hate more than an announcement of an announcement, it’s a fucking click bait titled video that is an announcement of an announcement.
I am fine if Aerith doesn’t die, don’t wanna go through that again… I CAN’T!!!
Do we know if the story in FFVII was the plot that was originally planned? Because I know of other JRPG’s that have had their goals changed because of time and money limits.
Last year, Super Mario 64’s N64 code was reverse-engineered by fans, allowing for all kinds of new and exciting things to be done with Nintendo’s 1996 classic. Like building a completely new PC port of the game, which can run in 4K and ultra-wide resolutions.
This is a very new and cool thing! Previously, if you were playing Super Mario 64 on PC, you were playing via emulation, as your PC ran code pretending to be an N64. This game is made specifically for the PC, built from the ground up, meaning it not only runs like a dream, but even supports mod stuff like ReShade, allowing for graphical tweaks (like the distance blur seen here).
I can foresee that with the amount of attention this version is gonna get, the Big N is gonna drop the ban hammer down pretty hard (like that Brawl mod… Project M?)
to be fair if she goes this time it will prob be at the very end of the series after the credits roll so people can do side quests and all the other bonus stuff. in that sense your emphasis on gameplay does make some sense. if it were still a turn based game it would still be sad but from a gameplay perspective no one would care unlike now where there is a legit fun character.
Though…it’s going to have to go on the backlog.
As I’m still finishing up grinding on MHW: IB, plus in the middle of 1st time on PC playthroughs of RDR2 and BoTW (CEMU).
