Video Game General 7.0: Day Juan Ys: MoC June 9th & Wonderful 101 June 30th!

I remember Voyager being unbelievably boring and not having any characters I cared about. I think Janaway just had bad plot-lines and the writing was just coasting on fumes of better series. They had to add 7 of 9 as eye candy just to get fanboys to care about that series, and even then it still wasn’t that popular.

I like Voyager myself, but even as a fan I recognize it has issues.

Yakuza 4 Update:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Saejimas! (x2)
Saejimas in a Half shell!
Saejima Power!

The fuckups with the EC IP were during the period of petty competition between the US and Japan branches. What happened to EC is pretty disheartening and I’ve never played any of the games.

On a completely different note, going full pyromancer in DS3 is easy mode. Got the Nameless King down to one hit on my first try un-embered with dark orb spam. Didn’t work as well on the next couple tries, but was a far cry from the ultra bastard he was when I played through with a strength build a few years ago.

Voyager was great concept that was executed terribly. The Doctor and Seven of Nine were the only characters that any sort of development. They had a huge opportunity with Chakotay and completely dropped the ball. Poor Harry Kim, that dude got fuck all to do. On the rare occasion he got a love interest she’s only in one episode.

Last rhythm game I enjoyed is this one.

Pain in the ass though cause it was digital only and the file size was big. On vita file size being big is kind turrible. Fun game though and good tunes.

I played this “rhythm” game here. Its fun but not much rhythm.

P.S. I been lookin’ through my old videos today

Solarpunk?

Is the 1st time i heard about this setting/label/genre.

I has potential but it also looks shoddy at the same time. Hard to replicate that pure Megaman feel in 3D, Legends was close. I’ll give the game a shot if they tweak some things

The art is really nice. Kind of reminds me of Totally Spies! mixed with Netflix She-Ra. However as soon as I saw the game play everything about it came off as ugly as shit to me.

In agreement. They gonna have to overhaul that before I invest in it.

Guess Ill have to play ReCore, which I heard is similar to Mega Man in ways, but 3D

ReCore came out for the xbone shortly after launch, right? I remember hearing almost nothing but bad things about it if it’s the game I’m thinking of

Lol well damn. I never actually played it so idk. I’m hearing that’s where Mighty No. 9’s budget secretly went (allegedly)

Yeah. It’s the game I was thinking of.

The only thing Keiji Inafune has to do with it (to my knowledge) was creating and selling the original concept of the game

It’s an optimistic counter to cyberpunk, envisioning hopeful futures built around sustainable technology and progressive values. It’s also related to Afrofuturism, so one of the easiest ways to understand it is to look at Wakanda in the Black panther film.

Or, for a more video-game related example, think the good future in Sonic CD.
