Video Game General 7.0: Day Juan Ys: MoC June 9th & Wonderful 101 June 30th!

Space Marine is a great game.

A great game that I think many people passed on sadly.

Max Payne 3 was also great.

I dont finish many games. I get bored with them. I finished this one. Real fun. top 10 favorite game of last gen.

This is one of my favorite online games of last gen.

it died a while ago and it wasnt very popular to begin with. It was mayhem though and sliding all over was crazy fun.

WH40k needs more quality games

As much as I liked that the license was basically available to anybody, it created too much garbage and jank that does the universe no justice whatsoever

Really feels like Dawn of War, Dawn of War II, Inquisitor, and Space Marine are the only titles worth playing

The potential is there

heh heh, ohhh many I never get tired of laughing at That Company… I haven’t finished watching this yet but I’m sure already that it’s gold.

Transformers----there was 1 or 2 o those other games that did slightly catch my interest because I heard you could create your own Transformer character(!!)…and character creation is always a big selling point for me. I still didn’t buy it though.

so much gaming to get back to… I still have Doom and Doom Eternal to play while my Diablo addiction is back strong, then there’s Astral Chain which I did not finish yet, along with a 2nd and 3rd playthru of Vampyr (There’s many different choices to be made in that, from beginning to end, actually…mostly who you kill if anyone and when, how vicious you choose to be, how you handle certain situations, and different ā€œbuildsā€ for Dr. Reid in terms of powers, etc. etc. There’s even a choice in whether or not to turn certain people.)…all while Streets of Rage 4 is out. …and these are just the first things that come to mind.

edit—yeah that’s the silly thing about time-travel in tv shows/movies… there was another one on NBC; I forgot the name of it… but it’s hilarious when shows like that have a black person involved in the mission to do something several decades ago…and yet there’s no instance of certain things you’d expect to happen if we’re being even slightly realistic about the time period. I’d love to see my Dad’s reaction to the Legends of Tomorrow episodes that are like this.

Finally getting around to ripping the Links Awakening OST collection to my computer.

To have 4 discs of ear candy on my phone is going to be pure bliss.

Edit: since discovering audio CD’s are region free (I’m being serious btw, I never knew) I’ve been looking at import sites like cdjapan, play-Asia, and Nin-Nin for game and anime OST’s.

Send help. I’m about to become very broke lol

The games only show one part of representation anyways and play loose from there based on entertainment. They just went further with it. Selling a game based on actual wars as an entertainment product is already crazy enough.

Fist of the North Star: I’ll always be forever grateful that these games include the ability to view main story beats at any time. It helped me with Judgment and helped here, piece a few things I don’t remember. Game is fantastic as usual, but it looks like this is going to be a two week ordeal before beating it.

After this, finishing a game before going into another is a no go. Unless the new Yakuza gets pushed back, I’m going to be withholding purchase on Ghosts of Tsushima since I won’t be able to give it proper time before Yakuza gets all my attention.

It was nice to visit the more rpg-esque side of single player gaming this generation, but I’m probably done with it after this generation.

I don’t think people would care or mind sjw type stuff in games if it wasn’t always shoehorned in so badly. But they always beat you over the head with it. I used to be a proponent of politics in entertainment, especially music, but given how polarizing and catty people want to be these days, I’ve walked that position back.

Like, you have to ask yourself, would they have put in a trans character 5 years ago? Even 2 years ago? If not then, why now? It’s like corporations changing their logos to a rainbow for pride month. It seems like they’re more interested in building social capital and proving they’re ā€œwith itā€ than advancing the causes themselves. It’s possible to pander in less obvious ways, they just seem incapable of it and subtlety seems to be a lost art anyway.

Everyone else getting Cabin Fever from quarantining, meanwhile I’m just getting settled in.

I don’t get it either. Shoehorning in those issues has almost never yielded positive results unless you have a strong foundation under it (like Horizon Zero Dawn). Hell, most woke, pander-y shit won’t be tolerated nowadays unless it’s attached to an established property. You can see that with New Warriors trailer. Turns out making your own characters under the thumb of these social justice issues bombs hard more often than not.

I think the people doing this truly value the message over the story/characters. They’re in a position where they think they can send a message, and they’re doing it. At this point, with so many properties failing due to woke antics, there has to be some degree of ā€œI’m doing what’s rightā€ going on in their heads to push them forward.

Ultimate Alliance 3 has kinda made its way into my daily routine, so as much as I’ve been playing it I figured I’d make a video.

Spoiler alert: I found it somewhat enjoyable.

Can Atlus please remaster P3 and P4 for current or next gen so I don’t have to mess with emulation or a portable console to play those two games?

I like this Review of the game as it made me chuckle

Mark Strong also who I want to portray Eisenhorn for the TV series that Games Workshop are trying to develop.

Makes me sad they cancel a Gorkamorka Racing Combat game for the Dreamcast. Its what they should of made instead of that stupid Air combat game.

Keep it up, good work for a 5 min vid.

Good shit dude.

As a side, your closing statement parallels how I feel about Monster Hunter World.

I’d definitely be down for Mark Strong to be involved…

All I know so far is that a Live Action TV series for WH 40K is being to be made, and its based on the Eisenhorn books, which is a good place to start especially for those who don’t know about WH 40k.
It’s ether Eisenhorn or Cyprus Cain a Live Action TV Show should be based on, and Eisenhorn does a really slow reveal of the setting. New elements to the setting is shown a little bit at a time, you don’t even see Space Marines till late in the first book. Allowing newcomers to digest the setting without taking it all in 100%.

There is a diference between having political themes on a work and being a political work.
To give you an idea of what i am talking about, look at what the old Star Trek series did back in the day.

It touched on certain subjects that were hot and controversial at the time, but it did so no with a partician mindset, but with an humanist pov.

So all the design documents for the Wii got leaked. I am interested on how this develops.

I could only imagine the diversity banter about Star Trek if it was released today.

Same. We’ll be seeing knockoff consoles and games in no time.

You dont have to.
Just go look at the trainwrecks that are both new series and how are being handled.

To play Devil’s Advocate for a second, the TNG was a trainwreck till the 2nd season.
Same with DS9.

Voyager Started good, but by the 2nd season went off the trails.
Enterprise was crap till the last season.

I’m really upset with myself for knowing the fact I’m about to drop $60 on the complete edition of the new Hatsune Miku game that’s only coming out digitally on Switch in a few weeks.

I’m doing it not because I love Miku (she’s fine, I like the Twins a lot more) but because the Miku games are just genuinely amazing Rhythm games. I just genuinely hate paying that kind of coin for a digital title. All the Miku and Persona rhythm games took all the great stuff about the rhythm games that came before it, almost all of which came from Konami, roughed out the edges and modernized them.

They’re so good. I miss the late 90’s to late 2000’s. Rhythm games were everywhere. Unfortunately Activison got greedy and burst the bubble on them. :frowning:
