I would really prefer to not mess with my console, not until I buy a slim or a super slim. At least I wouldn’t feel as bad if my fat model dies in the process, it’s been in service for 11 years now

Thankfully I got the Cybertron games on Steam before they got pulled. I wish I could have done the same with Deadpool.
Activision at one point did put FoC on digital release for PS4 and Xbone but didn’t put WfC with it which was a weird decision. Really sad we won’t get a true third game in this series…

@Optimus124 can correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t Rise of the Dark Spark suppose to be the third game? I remember it crossing over with Bayformers for some stupid reason and it had a different dev team.
Yea, it got pulled again 3 years ago.
I grabbed all of the skins with the pre-order. When you change Prime to use that skin he says either “Feels odd” or “This is what I call a robot in disguise”. That game had a lot of love put into it.
If they released both games, I’d have bought them again. Since it was only the one, I skipped it.

Yup. I completely skipped buying that one. There wasn’t any reason for that game to exist. It was strictly a cash grab.
I checked my steam list…I did buy Deadpool and the DLC.

War for Cybertron not only had an amazing campaign, it had a top class multiplayer component too. Classic deathmatch modes and a horde style coop mode.
One of my favorite third-person shooters of last-gen. I put it up there with Max Payne 3, Vanquish and Warhammer: Space Marine as one of the GOAT’s. I also enjoyed it more than Devastation.
Happy to see Space Marine get some love…
If this is the game I’m thinking of, that is misrepresenting the issue. I’m not into Battlefield but wasn’t this the game based around WW2 that played fast and loose with history for the sake of representation? IIRC There was British woman, with a prosthetic, on the front lines which was BS on two accounts.Her disability and her gender. If you wanted to have women on the front lines they should have went with Russia. Where it actually occurred. Don’t base a video game around history if you are going to inject modern sensibilities into it. If you are going to do that…give it a modern or fantasy setting. It’s a pet peeve of mine that I’ve seen take place in more and more media. I’ve seen time travel shows that go back to the segregation era South and pussy foot around how things were then. If they address it at all.
They also went and took real life events and rewrote it in a way that some girl and her mom took the germans out of their town, disrespecting the people who fought and lost the lives defending it on real life.
And addressing the original post, yes it sold well, even if below expectations, but seeing how they discarded the roadmap and have left the game to die, we can assume that the player retention was so low that selling DLC was no longer an option.

Just got done watching this. Sad what happened, although their plans for the third game seemed crazy and unachievable.
Shit like this is why I stopped watching Legends of Tomorrow. There was an episode where the crew goes to 1940s Memphis to meet a teenage Elvis. A black guy, black woman and Iranian woman go into an all white Church like it’s nothing, Wally West can just walk up to the pastor to have a civil conversation and the end of the episode as the interracial couple kiss in said church without anyone breaking out torches and pitchforks was too much bullshit for me to handle. I will fight anyone who believes that history should be altered this way.
