I know it’s easy to joke about EA and Star Wars but isn’t it sad that the company legit cancelled more projects than they have released ever since obtaining the license back in ~2013?
Like seriously, within those 6 years they produced exactly 3 AAA titles - Battlefront, Battlefront II, and Jedi Order
They need to put all these games into one big box, sell it for like 100-125$ for the whole series
Conspiracy theory time - Valve is using Alyx to not only give a massive push to VR, but they’re also using the title to tease HL2 Episode 3
Thanks again @Gasaraki for the comprehensive guide to everything Nioh last night, lol. It’s been so long and I was finding the game a little overwhelming to jump back into, so it was really nice to have someone break down everything I had questions about.
What level are you? Even when we switched back to Way of The Samurai you were doing loads more damage than me, lol. Though I will say, after you helped me get that armor set I do feel a lot stronger. I’m doing more damage and grunts aren’t 1 shotting me anymore, at least.
Think I might have to pick up Vanquish now too… Just talking about the possibility of a sequel made me wanna pick it up, lol.
That character is 290~, but I have my main one at above 550 and two more below 200 lol
And yeah I’ve been thinking about getting the remaster too, been ages since I played Vanquish. But it’ll definitely be a few months from now with N2 and FF7RE coming so soon lol
Cause I don’t roll that way. I always try to use level appropriate stuff, and that 290 build is still on WotD itself. Even though it was still strong for the story mission we did it was still dangerous at that point. My other build would have killed it even quicker
Granted, while farming the text, it might have been better to switch lol.
Yeah, I figured at least for the farming you would’ve used the strongest character you have to speed up some of the monotany, lol. It’s just fun to fight stuff in that game tho so, it’s whatever to me.
It’s funny how quickly we got the set to drop when we switched to fighting Revenants. Like, 40 minutes of grinding versus 5 minutes of fighting Revenants.
Yeah, I wasn’t too sure about where to farm good revs exactly which is why I suggested the text farm, but thinking back, since it’s WotD it would be pretty common.
It’s amazing how out of touch the COO and seemingly the writer of this article is with the gaming world
COO
“As a specialty retailer, we are linked at the hip to this category of video games,” Hamlin says. “We compete with a bunch of generalist retailers who don’t have the same seasonality as we do because they sell paper towels and loaves of bread and they can use video games as a loss leader to sell a loaf of bread. That’s not our model, and our model is to be true to the category, and the category itself is seasonal and cyclical. So what experiential [stores] can theoretically do for us is be non-seasonal and non-cyclical.”>
Bolded is absolutely bullshit. I was just in a GameStop today and over 60% of the store was shit like Pops, Puzzles, Shirts and Statues. The games were all in the back half of the store like some shunned cousin who everyone thinks is weird cause you caught him eating dirt.
And this writer apparently isn’t old enough to realize he’s talking about wanting revitalize LAN centers

In this aspect, some GameStops resemble PC Bangs , or Korean PC cafes where players can access PCs loaded with games and rent them by the hour. Some stores even host birthday parties, though that poses some challenges for a store looking increasingly to the community as regulars, not just customers.
They continue by saying they basically want to kill LGS’s (local gaming stores). Well, hate to break it to you, board and card game companies are already doing that themselves.
COO again:
“I don’t think we’re too late, necessarily”
Naw son. You are. No one wanted to buy your company because the stink is as strong as leaky sewage pipe and you hemorrhaged almost $1b in losses last year.
You don’t do ANYTHING to incentivize the consumer to come to your store outside of being convenient. You just took away one of your only so called “perks” of being pro because you’re so desperate for money you want to keep that 10% off you once offered.
It’s also very, very, very, well documented how badly you treat your employees.
They’re literally just throwing any shit no matter how solid or runny at a wall to see what sticks.
Get fucked. I feel bad for the genuinely good employees of GameStop but they also genuinely deserve better than these fucking chodes
