SA1 aged badly…SA2 I can still play flaws and all. Give me knuckles emerald hunting over Big the Cat’s lame fishing levels any day.

Both games do have critical flaws. I personally never want to play another Knuckles Treasure Hunt again.

Edit: Alright question. What’s a game you like that has what could be argued as a critical flaw?

I guess you can say:

LIVE AND LEARRRN!

Ironically enough, I feel the exact opposite in which one aged worse. That said, I definitely agree on the Big levels. Those were all sorts of bad.

Lance Bass had the easiest paycheck of his life.

I believe his only line was SIN HARVEST

Can’t forget the grunting

Yea lol i never understand why everyone gave SE so much shit for that, he did like…nothing and there was all this echo distortion on what he did do lol.

Lance’s portrayal did not age well…

Really interesting article how a lot of Dev studios have adapted to making content among the pandemic

him going “rawr” made me bust out laughing. Outside of the grunts and a few phrases it’s perfectly fine imo. Maybe it’s member berries tho. Maybe not.

I’m not

The GameCube and subsequent ports of SA1 are all worse than the DC original. That’s where a lot of people are coming from as well. I played the 360 port and was wondering what the fuck happened to the controls. I played on a DC at a friends house not long after, and it was fine there.

SA2 was too much corridor action, and the Knuckles sections were worse than the SA1 parts.

Yea I deffinitly don’t remember the RAWR!!! Lol

Girl you fierce lmao.

When I say there’s no place for 3D Sonic, I say that as someone who does legitimately love Adventure 2 and Generations. But ultimately the games weren’t particularly good. The non Sonic/Shadow sections in Adventure 2 are objectively horrible and the Sonic/Shadow sections are pretty janky when it comes to things like collision detection and also have relatively linear level design. Generations was just a good nostalgia run, but that’s about it.

3D Sonic just shows how much people misunderstood what Sonic was about from the start. He wasn’t about “speed” he was about momentum. 3D Sonic has never understood that concept.

Which is sad, as Sega was counting on that Tech Demo to wow people who saw Kioses and TV ADs and hope they buy a Dreamcast.

Wait…Lance Bass was both Superman and Sephiroth?

@geese_pants Lance Bass voices sephiroth in KIngdom Hearts 1. lol. Sephiroth was one of the 3 Uber bosses for the game

George Newborn was Superman in the Bruce Tim Superman Show and JLA. He voiced Seph in the movie. The current Seph is the Superman on CW Supergirl/Crossover Universe shows.

Oh I already knew about George Newbern…he’s basically MY Superman of the DCAU.

Unless I missed something, Tim Daly was Superman in the solo animated series. George took over from Justice League.

I simply had no idea he also voiced Sephiroth.

Advent Children and Crisis Core are all I know the FF7 mythos

Those are the projects he voiced Sephiroth in.

Really…

I thought Sephiroth sounded badass in Crisis Core.
