Video Game General 7.0: Day Juan Ys: MoC June 9th & Wonderful 101 June 30th!

what’s worse about this is that Riot themselves have banned any and all discussions about the anticheat in the Valorant subreddit. More than likely, it’s a system service that could potentially be dynamically loaded/unloaded but Riot wants to catch everybody fucking hands.

I get why they’re doing it – some cheats also run with kernel level access to hide from detection programs – but talk about the medicine being just as bad as the disease.

They’re also owned by a Chinese company. I’m sure they have their consumers best interests in mind.

Meaning if you want it this holiday season you might need to bring some fight gloves.

The break down of the article is

  • less units available at launch due to covid.
  • covid fucked up almost all their PR and marketing campaigns
  • They will likely skip any sort of Physical press conference announcing launch date, titles and pricing.
  • Devs are thinking 499-549usd price point
  • PS4/Pro price cut likely to happen

Dead on arrival

Naw, folk will buy it and the starting price don’t matter so long as it gets the games people want and sales occur within the first 18 months.

Hard disagree. That price point range is what everyone has been expecting since jump. No one has really batted an eye last at it.

Dropping that kind of coin sucks, sure but it’s also not going to stop the majority of people who want it from purchasing it.

Yeah fucking right.

Xbox will be around the same price too. Both systems will get bought.

Yeah $500 has been the expectation for some time now. With all that GDDR6, SSDs, and an AMD GPU architecture that hasn’t hit PC yet, no one thought these things would be cheap.

Even as cheap as I am I was expecting $500.
600 would have been the breaking point.

Plus I’m surethey will do a bundle in 1 year then reduce it to 400 in 2 years.

If the game lineup is great they won’t have to worry about the price.

Might as well save up for a gaming PC at that point.
