People let themselves to be swallowed on the hype train and then start blaming the game when it doesnt meet their own expectations specially when the game never painted itself in that regard.
Think a lot of outcry and salt with new game releases happens because of exactly this. Peeps need to go back to tempering their expectations.

Rebuild of Evangelion
It wouldâve been great if it was Called FF7 Rebuild and they really hammered home what this would be in the advertising. Sure they said things would be different, but how different was never really touched on or lost in translation.
I say that we dont really know for sure how different things are yet and how it will affect the over all plot of the game.
One thing though, is that anyone with a modicum of experience with japanese media should know that jap people dont like to recycle ideas.
If they revisit their work they will always make changes to it.
You can see it happen everywhere.
Hell, is the sole reason why Nintendo doesnt want to make a new FZero, since they feel that they already did everything they could in terms of gameplay, and releasing the same game with better graphics is a no.

Not posting spoilers so soon, but itâs pretty confirmed at this point. With the ending and certain plot devices itâs setup that things are going in a very different direction. You even see the big changes in the current Midgard arc.
I was never attached to FF7, so the changes and tie ins to the original are interesting to see.
The hardcore fanatics think otherwise though lol.
If you mean the actual movies, I actually liked the first one. The potential was great, specifically because the movies wouldâve been a good companion piece to the original anime. âWhat if EVA was made with a creator that wasnât drowning in depression?â
But then he got depressed again and went further down the rabbit hole which ended up defeating the entire purpose in my mind.
So my earlier post was kinda shitting on FF7 changes, but ya know itâs actually really refreshing and pretty damn interesting. Was knocking Nomura, but I kinda want to see where the story goes. Especially when you donât look at it as Remake and more Rebuild.
Hopefully the story doesnât go super wacky like Kingdom heartsâŚ

IIRC, he is not depressed, he just felt that Evangelion shouldnt be just uplifting.
Besides the story hasnt ended yet, and even with all the shit happening, there is a clear difference on how the characters are dealing with all the crap, since they are not fatalistic about it.
I say that Rebuild of Evangelion is on track of what was promised.
do people remember that announce trailer when it said the reunion at hand may bring joy or it may bring sorrow but let us embrance whatever it ibrings. they were setting this shit up and the much predicted timeline split where aerith lives will come to pass.
Even if it becomes wacky, they dont have Disney breathing over their necks telling them what they cant do with their chars or what elements of storytelling cant have on the game.
Now, if that will end as good thing, i dont know, but at least is an improvement.
If you think about it, Aerith surviving is the worst scenario possible, since she becomeing one with the life stream is what helped them defeat Sephirot and helped them when shit was going south on Advent Children.
But it doesnât make the original straight up non-canon garbage. See the difference?

Everything about that game kind of reeks of âIt was impressive at the time it was released.â
I might just read up on the story at this rate since thatâs what Iâm interested in since the Remake apparently changes stuff.
Which is why I made sure to emphasize that I didnât get to experience it yet.
Honestly, the gameplay does seem to be more on the boring side, but I donât really care about that in that game.
I wanna see how the story holds up because it looked batshit insane. So Iâm guessing itâs either just nuts like MGS2 or actually great.
Maybe thatâs the problem. Twin Snakes was the one I played. 
Like, itâs not bad, it does tell its story well. Itâs just that Liquid gets too silly to be taken seriously once you realize he got an F in biology.

Actually it did. REmake completely overrode the original game. The new stuff like Lisa Trevor carried over into other games.
I say that the gameplay loop is fun if you like this type of games, where a lot of the bulk is on making preparations and planification to do the missions, taking meassures to whatever enemy type you could find during it.
One thing though, is that i would say that the way the info is presented to the player can be busy at times.
That thing for sure needs to be improved on the sequel.
And i am not talking about the story which it can also be overwhelming at the start since they are trying to put you up to date with all the terminology used on the world; i am talking about the gameplay info, the menus for when you get missions, missions briefings and when you complete them need some clean up.
That is my only real complain with the game.
At times my attention simply drifted away when reading that stuff, specially at the start of the game.

i actually really like yuffie! it would honestly make more sense for vincet to take the hit since he could most likely survive it unless the remake nerfs him.
One thing I will add in regards to time travel that made me think more on it when some mentioned it earlier in this thread is personally I can deal better with time travel usually so long as it follows its own rules. I love EndgameâŚI love that movie a lotâŚbut for how much that movie tried to hammer its time travel rules into our brains for most of the movie it broke them right at the end. I still enjoy that movie and try not to think about it but it fuckin nags at me lol. Its not super horrible but more annoying. Then we have the x-men movies and x-men days of future past was on tv and my mind started wondering in on thatâŚbig mistake. That shit is a mess.
I also prefer multiverse theoryâŚmultiverse theory leaves less of a mess.
