Nice, more Nier. So uh…can we get a remaster of the original for currentgen? (or I guess next gen at this point)
Automata was my first Nier. Glad they’re reworking an older title, I’ll give it a try
The Challenge Rift gives you such a good start for a fresh character in Diablo 3… I did it on both the Xbox and Switch versions yesterday… got 5 million gold, 475 blood shards and quite a bit of those crafting items, like arcane dust, tapestry, etc. For a new character, that is more than enough to fully upgrade all 3 of your vendors immediately, and you still have millions of gold left over. It was a tough choice as usual between my favorite characters (wizard, necromancer, witch doctor) but I ended up going with wizard…it’s always been one of the easiest to play, and it has a new class item set to mess around with…though I will end up going back to an archon build of course. I’m apparently the only D3 wizard fan that never got tired of blasting through everything with archon power.
(sheeeeittt, I keep thinking why would you NOT go with that shit? It’s like picking Goku but NOT using his godlike blue form for some silly reason…man, when you have access to such a godly transformation that has infinite power potential…why are you not transforming? *cue the Reggie “What’s wrong with you?” gif 
This was yet another thing about a certain friend that puzzled me…he also had a wizard character…NEVER used Archon form. Bruh…)
I hope they fix up the gameplay and camera for Replicant.

Yea, the gameplay in Replicant looks a bit wonky, most def need to update that shit. Can’t go from playin like Automata back to this. Not expecting an overhaul, just a few key tweeks

If Replicant is just a remaster then they need to leave it alone and only remaster it. That’s what a remaster really is.
If they wanna change stuff then it becomes something different. I’m not against them changing stuff by the way, just really dislike this modern conflation of remake and remaster. It’s slightly annoying.

…and got even get me started on how many people mislabel remasters as remakes and vice versa on discussions places like reddit or youtube
This still goes on, but only to a certain point… normally this concept is annoying to me, but the player characters are so insanely overpowered it doesn’t matter much. A high level player character will still destroy most things even on the higher difficulties, unless you’re talking about the absolute top rank difficulty levels (which I think is Torment 16 or so…?) or the seemingly endless scaling in the Greater Rifts.
Eventually your power far outpaces that of the monsters…even the bosses…certain big attacks that would’ve killed you instantly before…you get to a point where your character can just stand there and completely no-sell it…so the sense of character power and evolution is still there.

Also, they’re calling it an “updated” version, not a remaster OR remake. And they are going to make some changes and even add new characters.

Well, that’s a little better. The complaints I read involve found back to old areas where you just wanna get through but now the Canon fodder are leveled up and you gotta waste time fighting them.
