I don’t think it’s very surprising though. There are still a lot of VR naysayers, but a lot of people that like it are seriously into it, and that includes plenty of devs. Plus the device itself is basically just peripheral, so just having better hardware to use it with is probably the biggest thing it needs. I’m sure they’ll make successor headset at some point though.

People…you do not need to lighten or darken your face to portray a character…Just don’t do it.
Depending on the games you play this can cause some slight issues. I’m always the last Hunter to load into the group in MHW for example. In games where that matters like FFXIV you can miss out on raids and boss fights because they can be finished before you even load in making you miss dropped loot and so on.
Games like Dark Souls Bloodborne and now Sekiro load slower on my slim PS4 then they do on my brothers Pro. That’s lost game time staring at a loading screen.
No VR on any models but the Pro. Have you done much research into this? Seems like you havent…
About that twitch streamer who got banned, honestly, she didn’t look like Mr Popo at all. I don’t think she was trying to be racist for real. Now if you look like Mr Popo then yeah…

The ongoing practical joke that is Anthem continues… it’s a nitpick but still… they updated the “Featured” store thing today so I just checked it…it’s some shit they already posted before; in fact I already have one of the things—it’s the “Dreadnought” Colossus armor pack and the “Guardian Armor” for Rangers…there’s also a texture and a decale I’ve seen before too…and an “air guitar” emote…I THINK that’s new

I’d give her the benefit of the doubt cause I both saw the picture and she’s from Russia from what I understand. I think she was just trying to portray the character and was unaware of the stuff going on over here. I actually appreciate that she didn’t go ‘this character has a bit of melanin so I need to jump in the nearest tar pit’. Regardless my point still stands that people don’t need to do that to portray a character.

I mean when you cosplay something, at which point is it too much? For example some people want to cosplay a blue skinned character so they would just paint their skin blue. I fail to see why people are so damn jumpy on calling racism for something so silly. To me it’s a way to honor a character, believe me if she was racist she wouldn’t portray a black character.
Now If someone paints their face black and get Popo lips and hold water melon and fried chicken or whatever then sure we can ban her and all that shit. I think people now have nothing to do but be offended for silly fucking shit and press on the “That’s racist” button because they have nothing else better to do.

It’s always about intention which is going to hard to see and interpret 100% by people. Which is why unless you want to risk committing social suicide, you just don’t do it. Playing a character with an unconventional skin tone is all well and good, nobody is going to mistake that as anything else (I’d find it kinda funny if someone said that someone’s cosplay of a character like Piccolo was racist). It’s not so much the case with a realistic flesh tone character and if it wasn’t for the assholes back in the day who thought it would be cool to make fun of race of people for decades using ‘black face’ then this type of stuff wouldn’t even be an issue…but the reality is…that it is.
yknow, I think that will be the first legitimate/official release of Aliens Vs. Predator arcade… previously the only way was to “acquire” a rom of it on the net. That 1 game was the main reason I made my psp “special” so many years ago.
Smash Bros. update—hahah I’m already thinking of what kind of inappropriate, perverted or downright disgusting stages I can make with that custom-stage thing…the possibilities, man:
- Say you have the top half of the stage looking like a woman with spread legs; pussy just right there in the top center of the screen. Below, you have a large phallic structure pointing up towards the hole…the animation is she goes up and down on it.
- Or—say you have a big fat ass in the upper right corner of the screen with the cheeks spread so you clearly see the hole…and large boulders drop out of there as the animation…the stage is a fat person constantly shitting.
- Or…the face of a drunken person constantly vomiting as the stage.
- A re-creation of the infamous “Tubgirl” image.
- Domestic Violence Land—giant structure that looks like a couple fighting…maybe with a little kid off to the side that looks sad.
Ooh----“Big Titty Land”…a stage that’s just titties…titties on top of more titties.
of course none of it are things one could safely share online without probably getting banned from Nintendo’s silly ass Online “service”, but it will be for my own amusement anyway. Sheeeeit, then there’s the “racially insensitive” category of ideas to do after that…

I NEVER thought AvP would get a re-release. It is one of my favorite beat 'em ups. That sucker needs to come to consoles via Arcade Archives or a Capcom Arcade Collection. I would LOVE to have that game on the Switch. Capcom dangling that expensive carrot in front of us.
I remember being able to speed run AVP with the dude who worked at the arcade I more-or-less grew up in. It was a lot of fun.
I’m just not willing to spend $260+S&H to play it again.
I LOVE AvP but I also don’t wanna pay $260+ to play it again. I also like a lot of the other games in that collection but that price is a serious deal breaker. If Capcom wants to cater to the hardcore arcade enthusiast, that’s fine but throw us other folks a bone and release those games on something that we won’t have to shell out major bank just to play them.

I also wish the game selection was a lot better. There are really only a few games that are “must haves” to me. Like instead of CapCom for the 80th time why not Punisher? That game was awesome. Why Hyper fighting?
