this is absolutely true. Especially when they see there’s no money to be made in it. Only the diehards will stick around to play their favorite game(s). It’s literally why AnimEVO exists.
D’oh!!!

Octopath might be coming to pc
Hideo Baba leaves Squeenix
The Smash 4 finals happened because that community sucks and were pissed about Bayonetta being as strong as she is (not her fault). During that year Bayo players would get booed even if playing because she is “broken”.
Those early SamSho matches are gdlk.
Winning by Ring Out is always the best way to win, followed by Time Out.
Is Octopath good? If it comes on PC I might grab it.
Fuck is this argument about holding down-back to block about? Its been a thing since fighting games started. What, am I suppose to not block low? Am I suppose to eat every single low attack and only block mid/high attacks? Am I not suppose to do the offensive down-back block with my A-Charlie? Fuck outta here with that noise.
Short answer: Yes. Get it.
Well, I did only skim a few posts…so yeah, I guess it did go over my head. Dont matter doe. I stand by what I said.
In other news…I got Risk of Rain 2. Haven’t tried it yet but I’m sure I’ll have fun with it. Me and Soviet gonna play today or tonight. I wonder how the multiplayer works? Like, if one of us dies, does the dead person have to sit there and watch the other player till he dies?
ST Guile mirror match minus the BOOMS.
At least full screen Guile mirrors could effect the semblance of a cat fight.
A good Guile mirror is a different tale.
I also aint playing an FG for some spectators enjoyment. I dont give a fuck if someone watching is bored or if the guy I’m playing is bored. I’m playing to fuckin’ win.
Not my problem that that game is built so that is the way its played. I hold down-back a lot in A3. Sometimes the matches go the full time sometimes they dont. But I aint gonna sit there for 88 seconds and wait to try and get a single hit in at the very last second. I wouldn’t have fun doing that.
That’s the entire point a lot of us are trying to make. Barely anyone wants to play that way anymore. Even less people want to see a game played that way.
Also. Preordered these beauties this morning
Yes they’re expensive. No I don’t care that they’re expensive. FF9 is my favorite final fantasy. Zidane and Garnets relationship is also one of my favorite relationships in pretty much any game. Romantically anyways. My favorite relationship in a video game is Joel and Ellie from The Last of Us.
Yeah, but what games do people do that in outside of a SamSho game? Even a more active match of SamSho is just dudes holding down-back and pocking each other.
I mean, in A3 I cant do that even if I wanted to. The other player is gonna be attacking me and he’ll break my guard if all I do is block. I have to go on the offensive at some point.
Edit - I mean, if I get a good life lead on someone I’ll turtle that shit down. Like I said, I aint playin’ for some spectators enjoyment.
If you love old school JRPGs but are not looking for world ending stories, it is a great game. Only flaw IMO is that the party barely interacts with one another and are basically silent ghosts in other characters’ stories.
I just looked at pretty much every major retailer and its crazy to me that people are excited for a game that’s a little over 2-months out and they can’t even preorder yet unless it’s the Japanese edition from places like nin-nin or Amiami.
That just comes off as SNK dragging their feet to me and being flippant. Like they don’t even care. You think they’d want that to be available for preorder as soon as it was announced so they get a rough idea on how well the content is going to move.
Edit: thought maybe you’d be able to preorder it digitally so I checked eshops as well. NOPE
This is fine. But I’m not talking about on a casual scale. I’m talking about on a tournament scale. TO’s want high viewings because it means more eyes on their tournament/product which means more potential sponsors that help lighten the load. If the game comes off as boring, stale, whatever negative connotation. No one is going to watch it or support it.
